Former Professor Claims She Gave All Her Students A’s in Effort to ‘Decolonize’ Classroom

A former PhD student at the University of California, San Diego who later obtained a teaching job at the university went viral on social media after a video in which she claimed to give all her students “A’s” in an effort to “decolonize” her classroom surfaced.
“I also don’t give homework – surprise, surprise,” Dr. Chandler Puritty said in the viral video, which she posted in May 2022.
Puritty, a former PhD candidate in UC San Diego’s biology department, eventually obtained a teaching position there, which Puritty claimed she left six months ago in a separate post.
“Anyone who takes my class automatically gets an ‘A,’” Puritty indicated in the now-viral video. “They’re told in the first week that they’re going to get an ‘A.’ The only thing that’s required is attendance {snip}”

The video on Puritty’s TikTok account has nearly 12,000 views, but was launched into the spotlight by conservative Twitter account Libs of TikTok. {snip}
