Infamous Cop Blog Shut Down After NYPD Officer ID’d as Racist User

An infamous cop forum known for its vitriolic posts has been taken down — after a high-ranking NYPD was unmasked in an oversight report as one of the users making “racist, misogynistic, anti-Semitic, and homophobic sentiments,” The Post has learned.

Proboards.com removed the forum on its platform — dubbed “The Rant – LAW ENFORCEMENT RANT” — sometime in November, citing its terms of service that says it can deny the use of service “for any reason or for no reason at all.”

In early November Deputy Inspector James Francis Kobel, who was tasked with handling harassment complaints, was identified as the user “Clouseau,” who was responsible for hundreds of hateful posts, according to a report from the City Council’s Committee on Oversight and Investigations Division.
