431 Law Enforcement Officers Were Injured in the Black Lives Matter/Antifa War

Daniel Greenfield, Frontpage Magazine, June 3, 2020

The Left has gone to war against America. Their organizations, backed by money from the Ford Foundation, Hollywood celebrities, and even the Biden campaign, have terrorized cities, destroyed countless small businesses, and inflicted a wartime toll on the police officers on the front line.

The Black Lives Matter/Antifa war is being waged to destroy the men and women who hold the line.

Police officers across the country have been hit with bricks. Some were run over. A skull was fractured in Los Angeles, bones were broken in Boston, and a police officer in Madison got glass in his eye. In New York City, rioters laughed and taunted an injured female NYPD officer. Rocks, bricks, Molotov cocktails, fireworks, and bullets are part of the arsenal of the racist leftist mobs backed by the Democrat Party.

The stories reveal the fallout from a national war by radicals and racists on America.

33 police officers were injured and 47 police vehicles were damaged in the violent riots in New York City. Two radical lawyers were arrested for hurling a Molotov cocktail into an police car after allegedly trying to hand out firebombs to other protesters. Mayor Bill de Blasio has announced that he will be launching an investigation into the NYPD’s “aggressive” conduct against the thugs and terrorists of the Left.

The Sergeants Benevolent Association accused Chief Monahan of, “holding back the NYPD because DeBlasio ordered you.”

NYPD officers had trash cans thrown at them and were spit on by the leftist mob in Union Square. An officer was hit by car in the Bronx. A State cop and a local officer were hit by a car in Buffalo, New York.

Or as the media calls such escapades, “peaceful protests” that somehow, unaccountably, turn violent.

18 officers were injured in Philadelphia after they were hit with everything from bricks, to rocks, to Molotov cocktails, during the riots in Pennsylvania. 2 officers had head injuries while 7 suffered chemical burns to their faces. 1 officer was run over by a car and is in stable condition at the hospital.

132 Chicago police officers were injured in the leftist riots. Some of the wounded officers suffered broken bones. One experienced a heart attack and 2 of the officers needed surgery.

“They get drawn into the crowd without enough officers to support them, and then they get beaten and pummeled,” Superintendent David Brown said.

The media describes this orgy of leftist brutality as “peaceful protests that suddenly turned violent”.

23 police officers were injured in the protests in Las Vegas, Nevada. One Metropolitan Police officer was shot in the back of the head while struggling with a rioter and is on life support. In Salt Lake City, Utah, 21 police officers were injured and a police car was flipped over and set on fire. Some of the injured officers suffered broken bones. One of the officers was hit in the back of the head with a baseball bat.

In Boston, 9 officers were injured and had to be taken to the hospital. 21 police cruisers were damaged, some of which were set on fire.

In California, 5 LAPD officers were hospitalized with everything from broken bones to a fractured skull. 2 were hospitalized. 2 officers, one from Santa Ana and one from Anaheim were also injured. 7 Sacramento police officers and 2 CHP officers were also injured trying to cope with the violent mob.

2 Federal Protective Service officers were shot in Oakland, California. One of them, Dave Patrick Underwood, an African-American officer, whose favorite quote was, “God is good”, was killed. Angela Underwood Jacobs, his sister, who announced his death, was a Republican congressional candidate.

6 Oakland police officers were also injured in the riots.

Over 60 Secret Service officers and special agents were injured and six vehicles were destroyed as federal officers were punched and kicked, had bottles and rocks thrown at them, and were spit on by the racist radicals in D.C. 11 D.C. officers also suffered injuries, including one who was hit by a brick.

Some of the attacks were not just brutal, they were outright murder attempts.

4 officers were shot in St. Louis County, Missouri. An officer was hit by an ATV in Atlanta, Georgia on Ted Turner Drive. The 18-year department veteran suffered serious injuries.

Three Denver, Colorado cops who were taking a suspect into custody near a protest were hit by a car. One of the officers suffered major fractures. The attack is being described as attempted murder.

A police officer in Davenport, Iowa was shot while patrolling an area near the racist protests.

2 police officers were injured in Cincinnati, Ohio. A bullet struck one police officer, punched through his shield, but bounced off his helmet. In Columbus, Ohio, 5 officers were injured by rocks and bricks.

A Detroit police officer was hit by a rock. 2 officers were injured in El Paso, Texas, one after being hit by a rock, and the other by a tear gas canister. 2 officers were injured in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. One of them had taken a brick to the back of the head. 9 officers were also injured in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

A deputy in Jacksonville, Florida was stabbed in the neck while others faced a barrage of rocks and bricks. In Tampa, Florida, a deputy was struck in the head, and another was hit by fireworks.

2 officers were injured in Virginia Beach, North Carolina. 5 officers were injured in Raleigh, North Carolina, suffering everything from brain bruises to broken teeth.

Several officers were injured in the Madison riots in Wisconsin. That included one officer who had shards of glass in his eye after a thrown rock smashed open a bus window.

12 officers were injured in Erie, Pennsylvania. One officer suffered a concussion in Delmar, NY, after a brick was thrown at his head. 8 officers were injured in Lincoln, Nebraska and 4 in Houston, Texas. One officer was injured by a thrown object in Aurora, Illinois, and another officer was injured in Hoover, Alabama. One officer was injured in Knoxville, Tennessee and 5 Sioux City, Iowa, police officers were injured when the crowd began throwing rocks. 9 officers were injured in Providence, Rhode Island.

Back in Ferguson, Missouri, the original home of the riots during the Obama administration, 2 officers were injured. 4 officers were injured in the riots in Manassas, Virginia. One of them suffered a “significant head injury” after the leftist rioters hurled things at cars and police officers. 2 officers were injured in Portland, Oregon. One was hit in the head by a rock and the other by an incendiary device.

These are partial and incomplete numbers. If the riots continue, those numbers will keep on rising. And these are not mere numbers. They represent husbands and fathers, mothers and daughters, who will spend time in the hospital, who will relive the trauma, and who may never be the same again. Even those who go home with minor injuries may lose some functionality. Head injuries can especially lead to troubling consequences down the road. And while we count the cost, the war continues.

These 431 men and women put their bodies on the line to protect all of us. And they paid the price.

When over 400 law enforcement officers are wounded, that’s not the aftermath of protests or even riots. That’s a war. And it’s about time that we started calling the violent leftist mobs burning and looting their way from one end of the country to the other by their rightful name. The enemy.

America is in a state of war. That war is financed and organized by the backers one of the country’s major political parties. The goal of this violence is, among others, to win the 2020 election.

Their message is clear. Either they’re going to take over the country or they will burn it down.

In cities across the country, small groups of men and women in blue or gray stand between them and the apocalyptic terror they intend to inflict on all Americans, regardless of race, class, or creed.

This new civil war is not between the blue and the gray, but between the red and the rest of us.

Let us honor our warriors.
