Liberal SPLC Removes Ben Carson from ‘Extremist Files’

Greg Richter, Newsmax, February 11, 2015

The Southern Poverty Law Center has removed Dr. Ben Carson from its “Extremist Files,” citing “intense criticism” in recent days.

A statement on the group’s website now replaces Carson’s “Extremist File” page, where quotes he made opposing same-sex marriage were cited as the reason for including him with Ku Klux Klan members, skinheads and other white supremacists.

“In October 2014, we posted an ‘Extremist File’ of Dr. Ben Carson. This week, as we’ve come under intense criticism for doing so, we’ve reviewed our profile and have concluded that it did not meet our standards, so we have taken it down and apologize to Dr. Carson for having posted it,” the statement on the group’s website reads.

But the group didn’t completely back down, noting “We’ve also come to the conclusion that the question of whether a better-researched profile of Dr. Carson should or should not be included in our ‘Extremist Files’ is taking attention from the fact that Dr. Carson has, in fact, made a number of statements that express views that we believe most people would conclude are extreme.”

The statements in question are then listed.

“We laud Dr. Carson for his many contributions to medicine and his philanthropic work, and we, like so many others, are inspired by his personal story,” the statement reads. “Nevertheless, particularly because Dr. Carson is such a prominent person, we believe that his views should be closely examined.”

  • The shark has jumped the SPLC.

Normal sane people would think that the “far right” (count me as one) wants no part of Ben Carson because of the most obvious factor, his race. People that are a bit more tuned in can read “far right” websites and blogs and realize that we ridicule the lamer cons who delude themselves into thinking that they’re engaging in racial penance by embracing his quixotic joke of a candidacy, which is in reality nothing more than a resume enhancement. If you read a little further, then you realize that Carson’s actual policy positions and statements are incoherent and batty and sorta all over the place. If you’re really smart and read a certain someone’s blog (“Yay!” — Nick), then you know that one has to have held at least one of the formal prerequisite five offices to become President, those being Vice-President, Senate, Governor, Presidential Cabinet Secretary, Five-Star Military General, and Carson has not been any one of these.

The SPLC must be so hard up to find enemies that they have now moved the boundary between far right and respectable right somewhere between David Brooks and Sean Hannity.

    • C’mon! Don’t you get some kind of Chris Matthews thrill up your leg at the thought of a black man coming to save the day for White people? Think about how not-a-racist we will all be if we just keep putting black people up on pedestals and giving them praise for things that White people have already said and done before.

      • Hank Richter

Well, surely you all know that to the left a guy like Ben Carson is not really black.

        • Hannon

It’s funny how they can change someone’s race or racial self identity to fit their politics. Ben Carson isn’t a real brother, and then George Zimmerman is suddenly white, although race isn’t real and doesn’t matter even though it’s hard to see racism when you’re white, because race is a just social construct unless you have white privilege, and affirmative action only exist to fight racism even though it has to include lower standards because we are all the same 🙂

    • Oil Can Harry

      Ben Carson 2016 = Herman Cain 2012 = Alan Keyes 1996/ 2000/ 2008

      • Sick of it

They’ve received funding and support from the same people, so yeah.

        • Laika

Along with every other American politicians on both sides of the spectrum. To received funding and votes one must bend the knee to their demands which are open borders and anything else that destroys White America. Go against them or even question them and your career and reputation will be destroyed. Of that you can be sure.

    • Raymond Kidwell

Bill O’Reilly needs to be on the list for saying white privilege doesn’t exist. I just think the mainstream is waking up to the fact that the emperor has no clothes and the far left (at least in regards to race) is starting to look more ridiculous everyday.

      • Race War Provisions

What about Black Privilege? You don’t see a White Man yelling “Dat’s raycist!” when we get called Honky or Cracker

PS Cracker actually started as Whip Cracker from the good ol’ days. I guess they have been calling us that for years!

    • Laika

What does it matter? Both sides are bought off and paid for by the same hostile entity.

One look at who funds American politicians tells you all you need to know. Follow the money and that’ll tell you from whom they take their marching orders, and it isn’t from the American people. In fact, American politicians on both sides, with very few exceptions, work hard against the interests of White Americans.

      We have a one-party system.

  • phorning

They were already getting criticism for inspiring Floyd Corkins to attack the Family Research Council. Some of their big donors had to express some concern at putting a mainstream Presidential candidate in their “Extremist Files” would destroy their credibility with people that are sympathetic to them.

    • The UNC parking spot shoot-em-up nutbar liked the SPLC on Facebook.

    • Laika

He was taken off the list because he is black.

“Extremist” files is reserved for “White Terrorists” ONLY.

  • we’ve reviewed our profile and have concluded that it did not meet our standards

All I read was that Carson wasn’t White enough to be on the SPLC target list.

    • adplatt126

      LOL. Black privilege.

      • Robert Smith

        Teflon coated

    • AndrewInterrupted

      Tribal Supremacists don’t “get” hypocrisy.

  • WR_the_realist

Soon the $PLC will label you an extremist bigot for opposing sex with children. Then almost everyone will be on their extremist list.

    • Truthseeker

Exactly. The SPLC and their ilk are the real extremists. But our society is in thrall to insanity, so people whose views are in line with reality are placed outside the circle of respectability.

    • Laika

The move to normalize homosexuality is over, now we have in-your-face gays with their sick agenda telling businesses what they can and cannot do.

Next is to normalize pedophilia and beastiality in the U.S.

Anyone opposition will be labeled “extremist” and have his livelihood destroyed.

      • BlueSonicStreak

At the grassroots level? Don’t believe it. Radically leftist people are, in my experience, disproportionately more likely to have been molested.

      • Hannon

Beastiality has been legalized on US military bases(not saying it happens or not), but things start small and mission creep themselves into something big, kind of like the way the Federal Reserve started out as an insurance system of sorts for banks but owns our butts now.

      • Comparing homosexuality to pedophilla? That is like comparing asexuality with beastiality. This is a logical fallacy known as a false equivalence. Research shows most pedophiles are heterosexuals.

There is a huge difference between one man having consensual sex with another adult man than a man raping a ten year old child for sexual pleasure.

Oh, feel free to insult me and label me a “disgusting degenerate” because I favor prohibitting African, Central and South American, and Middle Eastern immigration, I’m pansexual. I’m not just attracted to women, so I give you permission to hate me even though we would agree on everything else. Good day.

        • BlueSonicStreak

Actually, most pedophiles have no adult attractions at all. We don’t know for certain what they would have been if the part of their brains responsible for attraction hadn’t become damaged…but statistically, probably heterosexual. The remainder, WITH adult attractions, are predominantly heterosexual.

And some child molesters actually aren’t even pedophiles – they’re sociopathic straight men who rape children for the power trip.

          >> I’m pansexual

Don’t forget, this gang will gleefully inform you that bisexuals statistically have more mental illness than even gays.

The unspoken, unproven assumption clearly being that it’s inherent.

        • WR_the_realist

Research shows most pedophiles are heterosexuals.

That’s because most humans are heterosexuals. A higher proportion of homosexuals than heterosexuals are pedophiles.

          • This false. According to psychologists there are two types of pedophiles: the fixated and the regressive. Fixated pedophiles have absolutely no interest in adults and have been shown to be hard to place into ANY sexual orientation as they focus on children as a whole and not their gender. Regressive pedophiles have a tendency to be attracted to adults but under particular circumstances they end up attracted to children, and most have been found to be heterosexual according to mass studies. There is no evidence that pedophilia is more common under homosexuals than asexuals, bisexuals, pansexuals, or heterosexuals. It is simply using the guilty by association to justify restricting what consenting adults do in their bedrooms.

  • Their removal of Dr. Ben Carson tells me what an intellectually undisciplined process it is to get placed in $PLC’s ‘Extremist Files.’ The $PLC is NOT intellectually fair and balanced (which we already knew). They are biased and dishonest to the core.

The only reason they removed Dr. Carson is because of the ‘controversy’ and also because he was black. They don’t want unnecessary blow-back from those who truly admire Dr. Carson and because it might appear that they are the real ‘racists.’

I bet they added Dr. Ben Carson to their list thinking no one would really notice. When they did and complained about it (meaning it became national news), they sheepishly withdrew it. Any chance they get to label conservatives as “extremists,’ they’ll gladly engage in.

    • Who Me?

The SPLC is truly sick. While I don’t think Dr. Ben Carson is qualified to be president, and wouldn’t vote for him in any case, I do admire his other achievements. He is a gifted surgeon, and a good, Christian man. That being said, he needs to stick to medicine, and stay out of politics. There is no way he would ever make it to POTUS anyway, for several reasons. He would have to compromise too many of his firmly held Christian values (really held, in his case) and he doesn’t have the background experience as QD pointed out above. Also as a healer by profession and a humanitarian by heart he would be far too soft on many of the things so many Americans are waking up to, namely immigration and the state of our countries’ borders. We desperately need someone who will secure our borders and stand tough on that. That person isn’t Dr. Ben Carson.

      • Excellent comments!

      • Raymond Kidwell

All he needs to do is be black and keep repeating some ambigious phrase like “love and prosperity” and he’ll get elected.

        • Race War Provisions

“Yes we Can”? Actually Obama stole that from the migrant farm workers union in California. A black man stealing, you don’t say?

      • WR_the_realist

I know plenty of people here reject Ben Carson simply because he is a black man. Well, I’m more objective. He is untested in politics and that is a legitimate criticism. On immigration, he’s better than Bush or Obama, but not as good as me or Jared Taylor! He wants the southern border secured but does want an expanded guest worker program. He would not be handing out amnesty by executive order.

        • Laika

When he stands up for the rights of White Americans, let me know.

          • WR_the_realist

            Read this entire article:

            townhall com/columnists/drbencarson/2014/02/19/beyond-affirmative-action-n1796992/page/full

On affirmative action Ben Carson is much better than any white Democrat. Or half the Republicans, who never lift a finger to end it.

It seems to me that Ben Carson wants the same rights for all citizens of the United States, which is fine by me.

    • Hannon

It won’t be long until someone digs their material and finds an uncountable number of folks listed there for the same reasons, who haven’t been removed. Then the write ups come along, then the right article gets linked somewhere with high volume like Drudge. It’ll get noticed and they’ll lose more credibility, if there’s even any left.

The SPLC is a White Destructionist Hate Group…. why give these extremist degenerates any press that might support them as influential?

  • JohnEngelman

The Southern Poverty Law Center Hate List is as stifling of the free political debate a democracy needs as the blacklists created during and after the McCarthy Era.

    • Robert Smith

The difference is, McCarthy’s targets were engaged in espionage.

      • JohnEngelman

Very few of them were. Most were Communist Party Members and Communist sympathizers. Some were liberal Democrats who refused to cooperate with McCarthy’s witch hunts.

If Communist Party Members and Communist sympathizers had been allowed more freedom to influence public opinion and public policy the United States may have avoided the War in Vietnam and the Iranian Revolution of 1979.

I have known CPUSA members. They were harmless. I liked them.

        • Sick of it

Then you should love the diversity their ilk brought to America!

          • JohnEngelman

The American Communist Party had virtually no influence on the Immigration Reform Act of 1965, which opened the borders to non white immigration. We can thank the Chamber of Commerce for that.

          • Robert Smith

Here I’m thinking the communists destroyed America and now I learn it was the Chamber of Commerce. How could I have been so wrong?

          • JohnEngelman

I am not sure how you could have been so wrong.

The American Communist Party has never had any power in the United States to speak of. The Chamber of Commerce has plenty of power.

          • Robert Smith

You’re playing a semantic game. The CPUSA are liars and propagandists. They are/were a “branch” of the Comintern. The morphology of the current form is less clear, but the footprints are everywhere. They didn’t hide any of this in their writing. Horkheimer, Adorno, Reich, Marcuse, Freud. Destroy morality, you destroy God. Destroy God and the vessel is adrift and you can take it anywhere you want. It’s a psychological revolution now.

I suggest you learn who wrote the legislation of the 1965 Act and their shabbos goy proxy who pushed it through.

          • JohnEngelman

The Immigration Reform Act of 1965 had broad, bi-partisan support in both houses of Congress.

Those websites demonstrate that the American Communist Party has been politically active. It has this right under the U.S. Constitution.

At the end of the Second World War there should have been more debate over the threat posed to the United States by the Soviet Union in particular, and by Communism in general.

I believe that the danger of both were overrated, and that there was never the remotest chance that there would be a Communist dictatorship in the United States.

During the Second World War the Soviet Union lost an estimated 28 million dead, and the destruction of one third of its industrial and farm plant. A country that had been so devastated was not going to try to conquer the world.

According to the first of your essays, the American Communist Party at its height consisted of about 15,000 members. An organization that small posed no threat to American democracy.

          • Robert Smith

The goals of the Comintern were clearly to engage in activities to overthrow the capitalist governments of the world. This is clearly defined in article 3 of our Constitution as TREASON.

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort…”

          • JohnEngelman

I found this on the CPUSA website:

Communists believe that social change can only be accomplished through the united action of mass movements which express the majority will of the people. Peaceful methods of change are not only the right thing to do, they are the most effective way to unite and mobilize the greatest majorities.

Violence, on the other hand, is a tool of the big corporations and the governments they control. To preserve their power, they use violence against workers’ and people’s movements.

In contrast, Communists seek to change society peacefully. We work to expand every democratic and electoral avenue as part of our fight for working class political and economic power.

Our party believes that it is possible to make fundamental transformations using the electoral process, the Constitution and especially the Bill of Rights.

          • MekongDelta69

Really? Look what we have now…

    • LHathaway

Racism wasn’t defeated in WW2. Fascism was not finally defeated with McCarthy. This is when they began.

    • Robert Smith

Communist party members are loyal to an international conspiracy to destroy God and governments. They should not hold any government position in this nation as their membership is overt proof of not being able to “protect and defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic.” As a Southern sympathizer this may sound odd, but had Lincoln been president I think he’d have known how to handle this matter.

      • JohnEngelman

Communist Party members in various democratic countries in Western Europe have been active in their governments. Those governments remained democratic.

        • Robert Smith

Revolutionary communism has been replaced with psychological communism. The goal is the same. “Democracy is the road to socialism,” Karl Marx.

          • JohnEngelman

I am in favor of democracy. I no longer believe in socialism, but I do not dislike it. I accept capitalism, but I do not like it.

The difference between capitalism and socialism should be decided by ballots, not bullets.

In the United States public opinion surveys indicate that socialism is becoming more popular. This is not because of actions of the American Communist Party, although the CPUSA will benefit it the trend continues. This is happening because the average standard of living is declining, as the rich get richer. For a growing segment of the U.S. population capitalism is not working any more.

          • Race War Provisions

I will defend our constitution with Bullets.

          • JohnEngelman

Will you use those bullets against a majority of the voters?

The United States Constitution does not consist of your political views carved in granite. It is a guidebook on how to operate a democratic government.

          • Robert Smith

Sir, there is one little problem with your democracy theory. When an unrepresentative government floods the nation with hostile aliens that will eventually outnumber the original inhabitants, what allegiance do we owe? People see what is happening. They feel no kinship to the Radical Brownie founders.

          • JohnEngelman

You are required to obey the laws of the United States, or you will be punished.

          • Robert Smith

Yeah, I’m aware of that. I’m just waiting for it to apply to all of us.

          • jayvbellis

How about giving up some , a lot of loyalty to our race denying Constitution and start fighting for our White Indo European people?

          • Earl Turner

Defend your Folk with those bullets.

          • Try defending our people and our civilization with bullets first. We can come up with a constitution anytime.

          • jayvbellis

The correct terms are “cultural Marxism”, “Frankfort School”… Toss in cowardly, pussy Conservatives, Libertarian open border loons , race denying Constitutionalist true believers, various defiled Judeo X’tian sects, lots and lots of really old, out of it old people like Orin Hatch and it’s no wonder our civilization is going down.

    • Spikeygrrl

Apples and oranges. McCarthy was RIGHT…and the SPLC is usually wrong.

      • JohnEngelman

It is never right to suppress free and open political debate. The American Communist Party has as much right to propagate its point of view as does Jared Taylor, and those who help him maintain American Renaissance.

        • Spikeygrrl

Sure it does. And people who oppose the fantastic notion that communism is good for anyone — let alone everyone! — have the equal right to speak out about it.

Surprisingly, there are some, but mostly white groups, no Hispanics, Asians, Arabs, or Jews that I saw, but admittedly I’m not familiar with all the groups they have listed, but Laraza is not on there, AIPAC is not on there, the Cherokee Nation is not on there, NAACP, so, yeah, for the most part it’s just a bash whitey organization. Here’s a quick breakdown:

186 separate Ku Klux Klan (KKK) groups with 52 websites
      196 neo-Nazi groups with 89 websites
111 white nationalist groups with 190 websites
98 white power skinhead groups with 25 websites
39 Christian Identity groups with 37 websites
      93 neo-Confederate groups with 25 websites
113 black separatist groups with 40 websites
90 general hate groups (subdivided into anti-gay, Holocaust denial, racist music, radical traditionalist Catholic and others)[12][13] with 172 hate websites

      • jayvbellis

Plus they also featured me personally, using a photo of me attending an Amren conference and also attending a private Christmas Party in New York where I got insulted by a pushy Conservative woman TV commentator!

But as Jesus Christ once said:

“All men will hate you because of me, but he who stays firm will be saved”

  • Who Me?

Anyone who believes in the traditional American values is fair game for the despicable Morris Dees and his vicious SPLC. If you have ever said a word defending patriotism, morality, Christianity, or just plain common sense, the SPLC can and will brand you a “hater” and get you publically held up to any abuse they can inflict upon you, from losing your job to (yes)even death.

  • meanqueen

I would never vote for him. I admire his accomplishments, particularly as a black man who grew up in the ghetto without a father. His mother is to be commended for making him and his brother read books. But the defense of TM is really a red flag for me. TM was a useless thug who got what he deserved. How anyone can turn a blind eye to that is beyond me.

    Nothing difficult to understand here.

Dr. Ben Carson was removed from the SPLC ‘Extremist Files’ because he is black.

  • Laika

Thanks for the information. Sounds anti-White to me. I am suspicious of any/all non-Whites. I would bet behind the scenes he was and is an Obama supporter, first black president and all.

It’s time for Whites to support Whites and White interests ONLY, as every other race/creed/ethnic group does.

If we don’t care about our own interests, who will?

We are facing the loss of our homelands and the real threat of becoming a minority in our own lands with non-White overlords. We will be liquidated.

  • Hank Richter

I love how people claim that the SPLC has a list of “KKK and White Supremacist” groups, true, there may be some of those on there, but mostly if you look the their list it’s just white people who don’t agree with the left. Nearly all of them are White, Christian, Straight, and believers in Sovereignty and being Fiscally Conservative.

So, don’t like Affirmative Action – Hate Group. Don’t like Open Borders – Hate Group. Don’t agree with Obamacare – Hate Group. Don’t like the Lilly Ledbetter Act – Hate Group.

  • jayvbellis

Maybe it’s just me but Carson sounds slightly “off” when he speaks. Almost as if there is a hint of cerebral palsy. No, I’m not making light of the disease, just stating my observation.
