Immigration at the Southern Border

YouTube, July 1, 2014

An onslaught of immigrants are at the southern border. Washington’s fighting over it and American taxpayers are paying for it. The families and tens of thousands of kids are left in limbo. What do you do with them?

“What do you do with them?”

You, as prezzy of the USA, do your constimuhtooshenal job and…

  • MekongDelta69

“What do you do with them?”

    You DEPORT them.
    ALL of them.

  • neverevrland

And what is the liberal host’s solution to the illegal immigration problem? Why it’s the same as the politicians in Washington ; “Comprehensive Immigration Reform”, also known as amnesty.

    How original.

    • Bossman

What else could he say? There’s a problem and it needs fixing. It needs fixing in a comprehensive way; not by half measures.

      • Marc Zuckurburg

        You used my favorite word.

I feel like my whole life has just been validated.

      • neverevrland

He could have said any number of different things. I’m pointing out that his answer is the standard liberal/elitist position in the United States. I take it you are pro-amnesty?

        • Bossman

Since 9/11 the USA has spent billions of Dollars and increased manpower by the tens of thousands for border security and yet mere babes are crossing into the USA everyday. Something is terribly wrong with this picture.

          • Key words: Spent billions.

Any relationship between that and actual border security is merely a coincidence.

They’re spending billions not for border security, but just to spend billions, just to give people Federal jobs and the leftover can be doled out in Federal contracts to firms connected to politicians.

          • connorhus

And apply that same principal to all government agencies across the board.

            It won’t be long now.

          • neverevrland

Something “is” terribly wrong with this picture. You’d think that with all those billions they have spent studying border security they would have looked at the Israeli Wall and saw how effective it has been, or perhaps even the success of the double-fencing along the San Diego Sector. It almost makes you wonder if they really just wanted to throw billions down the drain while leaving the border wide open for crossing?

I mean it’s not like the federal government would ever betray the citizenry or anything…

          • Bossman

Here’s a graph of the spending:

          • Its budget has multiplied by almost ten times in 20 years, all for nothing. Even since 2005, it has more than doubled, spending $2 billion more a year in 2013 than it did in 2005.

But it’s not all a waste. $2 billion does buy a lot of diapers. And it does keep a lot of deputy assistant fill-in-the-blanks in jobs.

What did I tell you above? It’s not about solving anything or accomplishing anything, it’s about spending money. Because, spend money.

          • Greg Thomas

The desire and will to defend this country from invasion does not cost a dime. That’s where we have been short changed.

          • TruthBeTold

There’s something criminally wrong with this picture and it involves our government.

      • Greg Thomas

The problem is we have leaders with no spine, who refuse to enforce our laws and defend this country from invasion. You’re right, it does need “fixing.”

      • gregCall

He COULD have said one word, ENFORCEMENT!

No reform or new legislation is needed as there are plenty of laws already, simply enforce existing laws. If any new laws are needed it would be to remove politicians who feel they can simply ignore and refuse to enforce laws they don’t like.

    • TruthBeTold

The reason it has to be Comprehensive is because they want to bury all the ‘unforeseen consequence’ that are hidden deep inside; ie Amnesty.

Remember how ‘disparate impact’ was included in the civil rights bill?

If anyone was serious about immigration reform (which isn’t needed because enforcement would suffice) they could break it down into its component elements and deal with each one of the separately.

Central America has been dumping its trash in our backyard for decadess. It’s time for us to take out the trash and return it where it rightfully belongs.

  • Bossman

Borders that are mere lines in the sand or a narrow stream will always tempt people to cross them. The problem will not go away any time soon.

    • Luca

Funny how they only want to cross one way.

    • Does this mean we can get rid of borders and nobody will come our way?

Repeal laws against murder and nobody will murder anyone. Then again, legally, that would be the case.

Easy way to solve the illegal immigration problem, make it all legal, just as the WSJ called for 30 years ago tomorrow.

      • MBlanc46

By Jove, he’s got it. No border, no illegal border crossers! QD for President!

    • Sick of it

Perhaps you should share your point of view with the government of Mexico. They’re rather tough on people who bust into their country illegally.

      • Bossman

If that was really true, how come ten of thousands of Central Americans and foreigners from around the world are using Mexico as a transit point to enter the USA? Can you answer that question?

        • Sick of it

Notice they don’t let the Central Americans come back? It’s a one way trip.

        • If Mexico catches them, they’ll be transported out of Mexico in short order.

          Except Mexico transports them northward.

        • Luca

They bribe the officials. You can get away with anything in Mexico as long as you pay your way.

I really shouldn’t have to explain that.

    • Alexandra1973

I remember back before 9/11 if you wanted to go to Canada, you just told the dude sitting there where you were born, where you were going, and how long you were going to be in Canada, and you were on your way. The only time they conducted a search on us was when we had Australian visitors with us…we were taking them on a tour of Windsor, Ontario.

I don’t think Canada had a problem with Americans wanting to invade. Hm.

  • A Freespeechzone

Not a damned thing! Sent them back across the border and BLOCK it!

Let the stinking mexican government deal with this vermin…..NOT OUR PROBLEM.

I have NO compassion for this vermin. None whatsoever.

    • John R

EXACTLY! Sorry for the all-caps, but what do we have a F***ING MILITARY for anyway! Instead of taking care of Iraq and Syria, why not use the troops to secure our own F***ING BORDER!!!???? (There, let me try and calm down now….)

  • John R

This is disgusting, but true. Obama is obviously a radical leftist who hates White majority America. He is a mixed race individual, who hates a White race that he can never really be part of. This is all planned. Wake up people! At this point, ANY White person who would vote Democrat is an idiot. (I know the Republicans are bad, too, but it is about time we Whites start voting as a block.)

  • Reverend Bacon

The best point of this was made by the guy who pointed out that we are playing defense on the 1-yardline. We should start penalizing the banana republics for their invasions; we should build hovercraft to put on the Rio Grande that have jails and don’t require us to let these people enter at all- the hovercraft should just dump the illegals on a ship heading south, and then all the illegals should be dumped at Cape Horn, regardless of where they came from. Right now, it costs them nothing to try. That should change.

  • jayvbellis

Israel and yes, Mexico have sane, effective border control, immigration policies.

  • jayvbellis

The Smuggler with the Jet Ski needs to be shot by a drone.

Watch Ron Paul and Rand Paul twist that in to some paranoid cT that drone attacks are about be launched on all regular Americans.

    • adplatt126

Drones are a threat to average Americans. That’s obvious. Any weapon in the hand of this Federal Government is a threat to average Americans. They use them to spy on us, not to protect the border. No noble, innocent brown Mexican worker, “needed for economic growth”, would ever be shot by our power class. As for you and me on the other hand…

  • nativist

“If Congress will not do their job …” a president who cannot even speak
grammatical English. What hope is there?

  • mobilebay

“What do you do with them?” That’s the no-brainer question of the day…you don’t bother with registering them – you turn the bus around and send them home. Case closed!

  • Josh

If liberals love diversity and immigration so much, how about we do a population swap. The libs can move south and live among the huddled masses pouring over the southern border and the cons can move northward.

But this would never happen because libs preach diversity and immigration without actually living among it all.
