Jihadist Calls on US Muslims to Cut Off Letterman’s Tongue

Chuck Bennett, New York Post, August 18, 2011

It’s no joke–David Letterman is now terror target No.1.

US Muslims were called upon to cut off Letterman’s tongue and “break his neck” in a chilling post by a suspected terror operative on the al Qaeda online forum Shumoukh al-Islam. The late-night funnyman angered a crazy jihadist bearing the moniker Umar al-Basrawi, “Omar from Basra, Iraq,” because he joked about the deaths of Osama bin Laden and his successor.

In the missive, al-Basrawi said Letterman, a Presbyterian, is Jewish and part of a “Zionist” conspiracy.

“I have seen with my eyes and heard with my ears one of the scum of the Jews, one of their pigs, mocking the leaders of the mujahedeen,” al-Basrawi wrote Tuesday, according to translation by the Middle East Media Research Institute, a nonprofit that monitors online chatter.

“We pray to Allah to paralyze his tongue, and that the righteous believers will break his neck,” the threat continued.

A source said al-Basrawi is connected to al Qaeda because in order to post on the Shumoukh forum, the terror group must approve of the author.

“So [al Qaeda] picked a successor to Osama bin Laden, and his name was Ilyas Kashmiri,” the CBS “Late Show” star said during his opening monologue on June 8. “Well, guess what: He was blown up by an American drone.

“It wasn’t going to work anyway, because they got off to a rocky start with this guy,” Letterman continued. “He botched up the story of Paul Revere.”

The quip referred to when Sarah Palin bungled an explanation of Revere’s role in the Revolutionary War.

Al-Basrawi compared Letterman’s fate to the successful hit on activist Rabbi Meir Kahane, who was killed in Brooklyn in 1990.

“Isn’t there among you [a man like] Sayyid Nosair, the Egyptian, who can cut off the tongue of this lousy Jew and silenced him forever, just like his fellow Jew, Kahane?” he wrote.

I hope that this is a lesson for Letterman and all the other nauseating liberals in this country.

Out with all these Muslims and 80% of the Mau Mau so that we can go back to being the society that we once were.

So, Letterman who is an extreme leftist, must think that his left wing views will protect him from the brown mob. Guess this is one more myth dispelled.

I Can’t say Mr Letterman would protect my freedom of speach, I can say Letterman’s political sympathies made this kind of attack realisable so if Al Queda managed to remove his tonque I’d say he got from the universe what he deserved: The universe does not forgive stupidity.

Praying for murder – nice religious guys, those.

If Letterman IS actually killed by Muslims, it will be a real wake-up call to the Left. Will they rush to stop Americans from getting angry about it, I wonder? Doubtful.

It’s not just the terrorists, Muslims, more oftent than not, can’t take a joke. You have to follow the teachings of their prophet, or they’ll want to kill you.

Interesting that al-Quaeda gave a shout-out to El-Sayyid Nosair, the Muslim who assassinated Rabbi Meir Kahane in New York City and was caught red-handed at the crime scene only to be acquitted by a jury of minorities.

His lawyer William Kunstler bragged that Nosair was acquitted despite a mountain of evidence because the jury was filled with what Kunstler called “Third World people”.

Kunstler used challenges to remove “yuppies and establishment types”- i.e. whites with jobs and basic levels of intelligence- from the jury pool.

Perhaps the jihadists see any Christian as a Jew, since Christianity began as a spin-off religion.

Letterman trying to talk without a tongue would be an interesting stupid human trick.

  • sheila

well…I doubt if asked David L. would acknowledge that he is a *white man*!

i hope this wakes more white people up. but i doubt it

Molly Norris quit her career and went into lifelong hiding due to threats after she made a vague drawing of Mohammed. Not in Saudi Arabia but in Seattle Washington. Some short lived tsk tsking from the left was all that happened. I hope Molly is okay. I hope Letterman pushes the issue. I hope Islam is beaten back from the West at least if not abandoned even in it’s home nations.

The Muslim Radicals may have just given the country a gift. They have threatened a prominent, avid Liberal with the same barbaric treatment that anyone under their authority has to contend with.

I wonder if Dave is packing heat, now? It’s funny how the Second Amendment is a good thing when these Hollywood types are stalked.

Just another message from the religion of peace.

WINO (white-in-name-only) liberals believe that by facilitating the dispossession of their brothers and sisters they will get a free-pass from the dispossessors. Useful idiots are always the FIRST to go. Benito Mussolini said: “In politics there is no gratitude.” That goes double for racial politics.

During the nightmare years of the Obama election, when Letterman attacked Sarah Palin (the “pig in lipstick” comments)and, worse, made jokes about Palin’s thirteen-year old daughter getting “knocked up by Alex Rodriguez,” I wrote him off.

I longed to hear the churl call Michelle Obama a “pig in liptstick,” and I still would love to see the world’s reaction if Letterman made jokes about Obama’s daughters getting “knocked up” by Alex Rodriguez.

I’ll never forgive the White msm sellouts who wet their pants over Obama and who viciously attack White Americans. They have created serious lasting societal issues with their loose talk. Letterman gets no sympathy from me.

It makes you wonder if these Hollywood leftists would still defend muslims even when the muslims threaten their lives. Or maybe they’ll finally see them for the threats and menaces that they really are.

But then again, these are Hollywood leftists (i.e. sellouts).

Hmmmm, try seeing Letterman as one of the new white terrorists that HLS needs to protect us from.

  • LOUDMOUTH57

I guess Letterman didn’t get the memo. Letterman doesn’t know that its only safe to target white conservatives with his snappy jokes and wry sense of humor. You know the way Letterman smeared Sarah Palin and her family for example.

Maybe Letterman should come up with a top-10 list of why Muslims are an intolerant, humorless, violent people.

  • Former Dave Fan

Dave had a problem with a stalker a few years ago.

    He ain’t seen nuthin’ yet.

  • Ben

    Pity.

I would hope they go after Bill Maher, Steven Colbert, Chris Matthews, John Stewart, Micheal Moore (my “favorite”), and Tim the Wise.

  • Michael C. Scott

Letterman didn’t just have “a problem” with that stalker, Former Dave Fan; the crazy woman was caught several times living in his house (!) as I recall.

If an obsessed floon can get into Letterman’s home, a hard-core jihadi wouldn’t have any trouble at all.

Referring to anyone they dislike as a “Jew” is hardly a peculiarity unique to Muslims, however. I have been repeatedly called a “Jew” online. How one rebrands an atheist Celt/Amerind mix like me as a “Jew” is a puzzle I find peculiarly confusing, even by the bizarre standards of human behavior that have become unfortunately common today.

Even if the tongue-cutting thing goes ahead, making Letterman’s monologues even less coherent than they already are, the liberal left will continue to grovel, all while pretending that the incident was somehow the fault of Ron Paul, Rush Limbaugh, Tom Tancredo or some combination of the above.
