Racial Hoax Causes PR Headache for Mcdonald’s

An online hoax that falsely suggests McDonald’s discriminates against African-American customers is causing a PR headache for the Golden Arches.

Over the weekend, the photograph above circulated widely on the internet. The image shows what looks like an official McDonald’s notice in the window of a restaurant, telling customers that blacks will be charged $1.50 extra “as an insurance measure due in part to a recent string of robberies.”

Many internet users retweeted the photo, using the words “Seriously McDonald’s,” to express their disapproval of the burger chain.

In response, McDonald’s sent a tweet of its own on Saturday: “That pic is a senseless & ignorant hoax McD’s values ALL our customers. Diversity runs deep in our culture on both sides of the counter.”


It’s not clear who created the hoax image. It appears to have first showed up on the popular 4chan message board, and it was posted last year on an anti-McDonald’s blog.

    “That pic is a senseless & ignorant hoax McD’s values ALL our customers.”

    The sign forgot to mention that only 3 blacks may enter at one time.

    “Diversity runs deep in our culture on both sides of the counter.”

    That statement is obviously false, it should read ‘Forced diversity runs deep…’. Also MCd’s is so diverse, they have had a website ONLY for blacks since May 2004. [365black.com]

    An online photo thought to be hoax that suggested McDonald’s discriminates against African-Americans has led the Golden Arches to admit it is part of new strategy to reduce costs and increase profits.

    Over the weekend, the photograph above circulated widely on the internet. It told customers that blacks will be charged $1.50 extra “as an insurance measure due in part to a recent string of robberies.”

    Many internet users retweeted the photo, using the words “It’s about time” –  to express their approval of the burger chain.

    In response, McDonald’s sent a tweet of its own on Saturday: “That picture is only a test run – we apparently erred on the low side. When we roll it out nationally we’re thinking it will be like $5.00 or more. McD’s values ALL our customers – of course, we value some more than others.”

    On its Facebook site, McDonald’s added, “Basically, we’re losing money on this demographic, which is amazing considering our research shows that many black Americans eat nothing but McDonald’s products. Diversity runs deep in our culture on both sides of the counter but, as we have discovered, it’s running a little too deep.”

    But that clearly wasn’t enough to clear things up, because Twitter users continued to send out the picture, with that same message of approval. Indeed, so many people sent “It’s About Time” Tweets that the phrase became a leading entry on Twitter’s trend list.

    That led to a second, blunter McTweet, on Sunday: “Now it’s looking like ten bucks to get in the door.”

    The latest effort seems to have helped keep the photo from spreading too much further–but there’s no telling how many people out there still think the photo is a hoax.

    McDonald’s was concerned that customers might think $1.50 was not enough to keep their restaurants free from roaming gangs of thugs.

    This is hardly the only recent barrage of controversial publicity for the burger behemoth. McDonald’s CEO Jim Skinner recently was forced to defend the company after the NAACP criticized its new “Flash Mob Meal.”


    The test image above was created by McDonald’s new in-house marketing arm which also suggested that blacks pay a $3 “napkin tax.”

    As some Twitter users have pointed out, Kentucky Fried Chicken’s recent decision to charge blacks a $25 “bucket deposit” led to a 70% drop in assaults against customers and cashiers at their restaurants.

    The topper would have been if that hoax sign would have had a link to McDonald’s 365Black website.

    Actually, these kinds of hoaxes are a great idea. No one is hurt and it is a great way to keep the reality of the high minority crime rate in the public eye. The media sure doesn’t do its job in that area and in fact does its best to hide minority crime.

    Maybe the next hoax can be about the cancellation of black bikers week in Myrtle Beach, SC, because of the violent behavior of blacks. Or maybe a hoax about blacks being banned nationwide from swimming pools, because they just don’t know how to act responsibly when they get near water. Or anywhere else for that matter.

    This specific picture is an old, old, OLD joke from the forums of Stormfront.

    All I have to say is, look at who the author is. Much can be said about this joke. But what is really important is who dug this up after years of being in the dustbin racial realist thought, and decided to treat it as news. What race is this guy? What is his motivation? Is this a pattern of behavior of others of his race?

    What implications does this have for racial conflict in the US. To be more blunt, does one race PROVOKE racial conflict in the US. And, if so, why. How long have they been doing it. These are all important questions that the majority of people in the western world have been brainwashed not to ask. But it comes up again and again.

    You do and will see incidents like this. Hmmmm….that’s odd, why is this being made a big deal of now. Most people don’t know it but that is recycled old news from at least a decade ago. Then you look at the name attached to the article. Or perhaps the group associated with the article.

    The pattern is undeniable once you allow yourself to see it.

    In the year 2011, anyone who could be fooled by this doesn’t know any of these three things:

    1) Everybody and his nephew is now capable of altering images on their computer with Photoshop etc;

    2) Racial discrimination of this kind is so HUGELY unacceptable and illegal that no company in their right mind would put up a sign like this; and

    3) McDonald’s, with their 365 Black campaign, would be the LAST company to do this.

    “Seriously McDonalds”? More like, “Seriously, Tweeters, how stupid are you that you can’t recognize an OBVIOUS hoax?”

    I’ve got news for these dimwits: the Jackalope isn’t real either.

    Just a hoax to be sure but probably many fast food outlets would love to charge this extra fee to make up for all the TNB they have to put up with.

    Humor, parody and epithet all derive their power from the truth. If a characterization is patently false, nothing is gained from trying to satirize it. Had the text read “Japanese-American customers” rather than “African-American customers,” it might have been insulting, but nothing worthy of note. Any self-respecting Japanese-American simply would have ignored such a sentiment as being unworthy of comment.

    The reason this is eliciting such strong reactions of various kinds is that everyone knows how closely it actually mirrors reality. Even those who incessantly mouth PC propaganda know deep down inside that this is in fact the case.

    I just called the 800 number associated with the sign in the above article and left a message on the customer service line thanking them for their new policy. The surcharge to blacks should help offset some of the cost of the attacks they have been committing of late.

    I’ve noticed that black pathology has gotten so out of hand of late that they are losing some of their sacred cow luster even among politically correct liberals. Homosexuals, Arabs, and Hispanics are discovering incident by incident that no minority coalition will be able to stand on the quicksand foundation provided by a black base.

    On Comedy Central now, there is a show “Tosh.0” whose host is developing into something of a race realist, and he has yet to be pulled from the air. Godspeed.

    It is obviously a hoax. You would have to be stupid to believe it.

    MD, however, will no doubt go through their usually panic stricken posture, apologies to everybody, and finally a talk with Jessee where upon MD will agree to additional diversity training, additional black365 campaigns, more black ownership offers, etc.

    Anybody stupid enough to believe that ANY corporation would ever put up a sign like this, much less McDonalds, needs a shrink. McDonalds caters and panders to blacks and Hispanics to an absurd degree. Just visit their McDonalds 365.black website, or better yet, just go to your local franchise and try to get your order taken in unaccented English.

    I am sick of black donalds and avoid going there. They always seems to push black guy with a White girl in so many of their ads. Lately have have noticed a very large drop in quality (if there is such a thing at a black Donalds?) and much poorer service. Then I realized they were staffed with 8 blacks 1 Mexican and the white manager.


    That sign isn’t really that bad of an idea, is it?

    It’s long time to boycott MacDonald’s Shaunantijihad. Not because of the 365black.com site or the company’s shameless pandering to dim-witted Africans in the “I’m lovin’ it” ad campaign, but because the “food” they serve is greasy, toxic, salt-laden sludge.

    A surcharge for blacks should also be applied at movie theaters, amusement parks, pools, etc., because of the detrimental impact they have when they integrate in public with Whites. This prepaid insurance for vandalism and destruction of property for people who are prone to such behavior is perfectly justified for any business.

    Just so you know, I have NO IDEA how to do what you just described here, but I do know that I no longer eat at McDonalds and do not remain, after entering, any other restaurant in America if blacks are in there. As much as I dislike islam, I will say that the muslim countries do not tolerate any bad conduct by blacks and blacks will be deported or jailed promptly. As an example of poor conduct by blacks, on the military camp on which I work we have had 5 black on white rapes already this year! The military does it’s best to keep those things TOP SECRET, but word does get out and always the usual suspects.

    I believe blacks are PLENTY stupid enough to conclude that this was a real unadulterated photo. They would not think about it for more than a split second before charging into McDonalds and hurling the nearest chair.

    Remember Tropical Fantasy, the drink that blacks thought would make them sterile if they drank it?

    Anon #21: Just charge a cover charge at all Public venues and locations, and that by itself, will deter most blacks from entering your Theater, Park, or Restaurant.

    Blacks expect everything to be handed to them for free. That’s what they have grown used to over the last 45 years. Ask them to actually pay for what they want, and “thatz beez discriminashun”.

    I agree about a black surcharge at movie theaters, but since they will never be allowed to do this, I merely wait until a movie we want to see comes out on DVD and order it from Amazon. If movie theaters prefer to get their business from loud Bantus with mobile phones, they certainly don’t need our money.

    As an added advantage, watching a movie at home allows us beer or wine with it; we haven’t been to a movie theater with a liquor license outside Japan (where they also have vending machines stocked with beer.)
