‘Progressive’ Power Via Immigration

“Progressives” really don’t care that illegal immigration is illegal. Just recently, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, said it was just awful that Republicans regard illegal immigration as a crime. And indeed, if you don’t care about the worth of American citizenship and the security of our borders–in short, if you don’t really care about the American nation–the illegal breaking and entering into the country really isn’t anything to lose sleep about. As professor Samuel Huntington observed in his book, “Who Are We?” many of our progressive elites are “transnationals,” folks who feel they have risen above such painfully backward thinking as patriotism.

They claim that their affections extend to everyone on planet earth and that legal and illegal are meaningless distinctions. Maybe. But one must wonder how anyone with no particular love for his country and countrymen could really love anyone else–any more than a father who denies special love for his own children can convincingly claim to love all kids. If “progressives” really love immigrants, as they claim, one would think that they would want them to come in small enough numbers, by the rules, so they would assimilate. Otherwise, they simply will replicate what they ran away from.

And that is exactly what is happening. So we might inquire if the progressives have another motive. One thing about them we know for sure is that despite their lack of love for America, they passionately love the power they derive from American government. Frustrating them intensely in this quest, however, is a Middle American electorate suspicious of their ideologies and schemes. For progressives, an obvious solution would be to replace Middle America with a new electorate they can more easily control and manipulate–one such as impoverished and unassimilated immigrants.

When anyone tries to expose the electorate replacement strategy, progressives typically respond by labeling the accuser as a “racist,” a “hater,” or one of their other standard and hackneyed smear words. The purpose is to divert attention from their brazen subversion of nationhood and democracy–and their boundless lust for power. Sensible limits on immigration are the only way to stop them. To achieve those limits, patriotic Americans must vote progressives out of office while they still have the votes to do it.
