Authorities said Jones, along with the others, would stop suspected drug dealers, search their cars and houses for illegal drugs, money and weapons, and use them for their own benefit. The complaint alleged the officers were involved in narcotics trafficking on the south side from July to December 2004 that included them obtaining and attempting to obtain drugs and money from various drug dealers through robbery or extortion.
