Jeffrey Imm, who runs something called Responsibility for Equality and Liberty (REAL)
On January 4, he publicized on his web page the location of the 2010 conference—which he described in hysterical terms—no doubt in the expectation that his fellow zealots would organize a campaign to intimidate the hotel. They did. Groups such as One People’s Project and Antifa urged their supporters to inundate the hotel with calls and threats of demonstrations. One fanatic even sneaked in and pushed inflammatory flyers under hotel room doors. The hotel buckled under the pressure, explaining to us that it feared for the safety of its employees.
Mr. Imm is now making the hilarious claim that the hotel’s managers cancelled only because he opened their eyes to the true nature of American Renaissance, not because of the abuse he unleashed. He has even gone so far as to remove from his website the January 4 announcement of the location of the conference (cached version of the page is here page of the same date,
I should have known better than to make any proposal to Mr. Imm. However, he claims to be motivated by love and to be “uncompromising in the defense of universal human rights.” He also writes that he has organized many public events, including one at the National Press Club. I made the silly mistake of assuming he had some decency, and challenged him to organize an event at the press club where we could meet and he could defend his behavior.
He now appears actually to believe that he has accepted that challenge by inviting me to be in the audience when he holds a rally on February 19 to heap abuse on American Renaissance. Yet again, we have the clearest possible evidence that our opponents dare not face us in a proper debate, and, true to form, seek only to silence or shout down those whom they cannot refute. I shall waste no more time on Jeffrey Imm.

None of it is surprising. However, conference or no conference, the pitiful geek hasn’t stopped a thing. All the time and effort they have spent on this will be a waste.
It isn’t us so much that will eventually defeat them. It is circumstances. This economic picture can only get worse and that can only mean that the deteriorating financial situation will bring on race consciousness itself.
I firmly believe that 100%. The folowing months will prove me right.
What a laugh. Jeffrey Imm is not motivated by “love.” On the contrary, he’s motivated by irrational hatred for those with whom he disagrees.
Jeff is a coward. He won’t have a formal debate with Jared Taylor because he knows that he can’t defend his views with any degree of intelligence and could only resort to ridiculous name-calling.
Judging from Jeff’s character, he has many characteristics of a sociopath. Jared Taylor was right to say that no proposals should have been made to Jeffrey Imm, because treating a sociopath as a normal person just doesn’t work.

The fact that this government agent is rousing up the hateful far left socialist/anarchist crowd in order to protest a non-violent assembly is unconstitutional and reeks of totalitarianism.
I would imagine that if (what is left of) the free media got hold of the fact that the public’s tax dollars were funding the salary of this demogogue’s war against the 1st Amendment we could bring this injustice to light.
Also are there laws against such extreme partisan ideologues like Mr. Imm being hired to protect all Americans and working in the DHS?

An alternative is to record each speaker individually and put out a DVD of their speeches. While the camaraderie of a live group would be lost, the speeches would be heard around the world.

We should sue the hotel for breach of contract and Imm for interference with contract. There certianly is precedence for such actions.
To be politically correct for a moment: there are alternative explanations for many of the things discussed here, such as gaps in educational attainment levels, income, and crime.
It would be fascinating to see Jared Taylor debate an honest, intelligent, open-minded advocate for these ideas. It would not be a terrible thing if Mr. Taylor were proven wrong about many things.
Right or wrong, however, Jared Taylor has got my respect for saying what he believes to be true, rather than what he believes he should say. I don’t see any reason, however, to respect those who think they can shout him down, or brow beat the rest of us into not listening to him.
In short, Mr. Taylor deserves a more worthy adversary.
I don’t know Mr. Taylor. After listening to your debate with Mr. Gutierrez (Which is not longer on the site, sadly) I think you could mop the floor with any punk that has to stoop to using street tactics.
On the other hand, when the search for truth has become obscured by sheer hatred, there is no point in debating. If I remember, Gutierrez was so mad he was taking about criminal charges by the time you politely released him.

Interesting that the hotel chain caved ostensibly because they feared for the safety of their staff. In other words, this character Imm (rhymes with dim?) threatens to violently disrupt an AR meeting and the hotel responds by cancelling a scheduled event?
Why has the hotel not filed a complaint against Imm and his minions for what sound suspiciously like terroristic threats? I would have thought it was the hotel’s responsibility to provide security for paying guests and to notify the proper authorities in the event that such threats are made.

You’re right. Most states have tort provisions generally called tortious interference of contract. (Wives used to use TIC provisions to sue “the other woman” back in the days before no-fault and relatively easy fault divorces.) If a contract between parties has no illegal elements, and is otherwise valid (e.g. between adults, fully informed parties, voluntary assent to the contract among all parties involved, no coercion to enter the contract, legal objects of the contract), then government consider contracts to be pretty much sacred, and frown upon anything getting in the way. Especially if a person like Mr. Imm engages in libel or slander to get the Westin to cancel the contract. Even if both AR and Westin had “out” clauses (hypothetically speaking), Imm and all the other goons could still be sued and found liable for TIC if they engaged in a tort in their pressure on Westin. It says in this article that the Westin feared for the safety of its employees. This means that either: (1) There was a credible threat, and therefore a tort, from Imm or some other goon gang, bolstering an AR vs Goon lawsuit for TIC, or (2) It’s a convenient excuse on the part of the Westin Hotel, in which case they’re lying and therefore engaging in a tort so as not to comply with its end of a valid contract, in which case AR could sue the Westin.
My grandfather had a saying, but I won’t say the exact words, b/c some of them are cuss words. But he said that bull doesn’t stop until someone decides to put a stop to it. Get a multimillion dollar judgment against Imm and all the other goons, and actually pursue the remuneration, and you’ll see how smoothly the 2012 AR Conference goes off.
Adding to the points I made in #11, if the goons really did make a threat to the Westin, and there’s some sort of paper or voice trail, or even credible witnesses on the Westin staff, to back it up, it makes an AR vs Goon TIC lawsuit all the easier. Libel/slander are hard to prove, and the Goons’ lawyers could make the excuse that they said these naughty things against Jared Taylor as an individual and not AR as a publication or the New Century Foundation as an organization/entity, and that since JT is a “public figure” (hint: Libel/slander against “public figures,” that term being defined by the courts very loosely, is almost impossible to commit), then the goons aren’t liable for that tort, ergo no tortious interference. However, assault is far more a matter of black-and-white. Just in case you don’t know, most people use “assault” and “battery” interchangeably, when legally it’s not the case. If I tell you that I’m going to beat you up at 5 PM today for making a pass at my g/f, then that’s assault. If I actually do beat you up at 5 PM today for making a pass at my g/f, that’s battery. Assault is the threat, battery is the action. Assuming there’s a paper trail, the goons committed assault, and there’s your tort for a TIC lawsuit.

A civil lawsuit is easier for a plaintiff to win than a criminal case is for a prosecutor to win. In most states, (check the state law of the relevant state where AR vs Goon might happen), you don’t need a unanimous jury (most states are 9 out of 12), and the burden of proof is lower in a civil case, you only need to show a preponderance of the evidence, i.e. it is more likely than not that the plaintiff’s accusation of tort against the defendant(s) is true, based on the evidence that the plaintiff presented.
If there was a goon threat, AR’s lawyers can subpoena the Westin employees that rec’d the threats as plaintiff witnesses, and the Westin has to let them testify and cooperate fully with the proceedings, not threaten to fire them or prohibit them from testifying, otherwise the Westin could be sued for (or maybe prosecuted for) obstruction of justice. The only hitch that is that if AR v Goon is in a state other than VA, (e.g. Imm is in Baltimore), a *prosecution* against Westin for OoJ would have to be at the hands of the U.S. Attorneys b/c of the interstate nature of the obstruction of justice. All the current US Attorneys work for the Obama/Holder DOJ, and I ill imagine that they would want to help our cause. Even most Republican Presidents’ U.S. Attorneys are big time racial panderers, so not even they would be of any help. But AR could easily sue the Westin in the relevant Federal trial level district for the tort of interstate OoJ if it came to that.
Only the hotel managers know what was behind their decision to cancel the conference, but it would make sense that they were mostly afraid of what the protesters, not the attendees, would do. This conference was not shut down due to a perceived threat of violence or public disturbances potentially caused by AmRen, but by people who are upset with them and who claim to be their diametrical opposite. So the threat of violence was made not by the “haters,” but by the “lovers.”
I too would like to see some type of legal action taken against the hotel and also against Mr Imm. Hopefully there is a sympathetic attorney who may be interested in representing Mr Taylor/AmRen in whatever legal action would apply here. I would be glad to donate to a fund to help.

I think one way to get to the core of what bugs people like Imm is to isolate the issue. In that spirit I posed the following question to him (on the Occidental Dissent blog):
Mr. Imm, I have a simple question for you. A hypothetical one - which I really don’t expect you to answer:
“What if, hypothetically speaking, there were an organization that had no stance on racial differences, did not belittle anybody, showed no signs of hatred at all and respected everybody for what they are - and this organization specifically promoted the interests of whites. Just a civil rights group for white people. Would you have a problem with such a group holding a conference? I await your reply…”
So far, there has been no response from Mr. Imm. I’m holding out hope that, even as he ignores the posts that level accusations at him, he might actually respond to my post - since it is a non-judgmental query. Mr. Imm, if you’re reading this, please consider responding to that question; I’m only trying to understand at this point.
Mr. Imm’s response was as expected for the anti crowd. It is impossible to reach or rationally discuss race issues with them, because they believe in their position with a religious fervor. Facts, logic, and reality mean nothing to them, and they can cheerfully push to suppress all dissent while imagining themselves to be valiant supporters of free speech.
My guess is that Imm sees all the money Morris Dees and Tim Wise have made and is laying the foundations to tap into that cash cow. It won’t be long before he starts sending out letters asking for donations.
I think there’s more good diversity here than what these “anti-racists” try to make by forcing different groups of people together and by guilt-tripping whites. In all the times I’ve seen this site, I’ve read comments by Americans, Canadians, Europeans, Australians, whites, non-whites, gays, Jews, etc. who are all willing to have a good dialogue with each other about these issues.
There is something weirdly off in the two Imm videos linked here. In the one in front of the Robert E. Lee Memorial (didn’t know there was one looking down on the Lincoln Memorial, as Imm says, but if so it’s ironically appropriate) Imm appears to be totally alone, with no audience at all, speaking into a camera he may have set up himself, mouthing nothing but the most banal PC platitudes for 10 minutes, his voice almost drowned out by overhead airplane noise. The “National Press Club” is even weirder. Is there an audience, or ANYONE there besides Imm? The lectern and flag look carelessly placed, not right. The impression Imm makes in these videos is that of a lone kook, who has a one-man organization (REAL) which gives meaning to his life. Apparently he’s had some success in intimidating hotels, but really…what I see is a man in need of therapy.

We have the right to freely assemble and discuss issues of legitemate concern to us. Let’s figure out what we can do to insure the success of future “politically incorrect” assemblies. On his website, he kindly offers to turn off his microphone when “debating” with Mr. Taylor (but not offer Mr. Taylor a microphone), thus ensuring that his fanatical supporters will be able to shout down Mr. Taylor every time he attempts to speak. Would Mr. Imm agree to a “street debate” while surrounded by Amren supporters?
The issue is really not so much Imm and he and those like him do but rather what are we prepared to do? Where is the counteraction to this? We will lose every time and lose it all if we don’t start stepping up to to plate.
Depending on the specific facts (which I don’t know), and on the particular laws in the state in question (which I don’t have time to research)I can see several possible tort actions here:

That’s a very good question, I think. What’s particularly ironic is that this plainly disturbed person who’s engaged in closing down peaceful conferences by intimidating hotels, is an employee of the Dept. of Homeland Security. If that agency is properly run, this near-terrorist activity on the part of Imm should certainly cost him his job — at the very least.

I’m with Ted (23). Since these hotels have shown themselves to have no backbone and to back down and cancel their contract with us every time a bunch of loonies complains, why do we even give our money to them? Are we such a soft and spoiled group of people that we need a plush hotel in order to meet? Surely there must be a sympathetic individual who has some land in the country where we could set up camp (with amenities, of course) and speak freely. We could have the conference during the Spring or Summer when the weather is kinder. Being on private property, we could make sure no unwelcome visitors are allowed in. We really do need to think outside the box here.
I suggest that suing the hotel would be counter-productive. This or other hotels in future would be reluctant to take an AR reservation, fearing more legal problems. The hotel may be cowards but they are not the enemy - Imm is!!

Jared has taken the correct approach to Imm. We have to do everything we can to pull the rug out from under the Left. He wants to label US as a “fringe group”, but we will make seem the on the lunatic fringe. An invitation to an open debate was more than Imm deserved. But what we dont want is street corner shouting matches where the more obnoxious and ignorant prevail. There is a untapped truly massive strength to our movement. We need to identify white nationalism with the common sense convictions of Teddy Roosevelt, Jefferson, and Lincoln. Keep hammering home that connection.
I will present a unique perspective from a non-white. I oppose arguments that promote biological racism against different groups of people. But I am a strong supporter of nationalism for people in all countries, and I believe that all people have a right to defend their unique cultures and peoples. I find myself having greater sympathy for European nationalists, whether Italian, French, Polish, British, and East European nationalists, than I do for American nationalists. The cause of European nationalists seems to have better prospects for success, than that of the American nationalists.
That said, I have had extensive interaction with many so-called anti-racist whites in America, and they are some of the worst hypocrites I have ever come across. One was a friend who interned with the liberal New Republic magazine in the 1980s, who absolutely despised blacks. The magazine had never hired a single black employee as recently as the late 1990s. Some of you may have heard of past complaints by black employees of the SPLC, who accused the organization of racial discrimination. Indian friends of mine who work in the software industry in Silicon Valley, have expressed their shock at the racism of many “progressive” whites they work with, particularly those involved in the environmental movement. Many left-wing environmental groups have the same racial make-up as American Renaissance conferences. Some of you may be familiar with the open hatred of white environmentalists towards the Native American Makah tribe, for its decision to begin whaling in the 1990s.
The most racist white Americans I have ever come across, are the whites of New York who indentify themselves as “progressives”. Mayor Edward Koch was an openly racist mayor, and he was loved by the so-called liberals, who voted for him consistently. Most white anti-racist organizations are motivated by money. They raise money by pandering to the prejudices that rich white liberals in the North-East have, towards white Southerners and working-class whites.
I find it interesting that the people trying to shut down the American Renaissance Conference, are not blacks, hispanics, or other non-whites, who are the people who are supposedly offended by this website. It is your fellow whites who are trying to shut you down. If race realism involves taking a critical look at black, hispanic, and other non-white behavior, then it should also analyze the behavior by whites that endangers democratic values.

Absolutely. In fact, on the street in front of the AmRen conference hotel will be fine. Just state where and when.
Every year or so, we go through the “conference syndrome” of trying to have a symposium and then having such cancelled at the last moment. Ultimately, Mr. Jeffrey Imm and his variety crawl and climb from their holes and slime pits to pressure a cancelation (I believe the same situation happened to a Dr. Duke conference, recently). Remember, this is the freest country in the world until a person gets caught exercising some of his or her freedoms. Why does not some of our like-minded organizations get together and construct a building (for conference purposes) with close proximity and accessibility to lodging? I know, let us call it the “mead hall”. If these conferences are that important to European Americans/Europeans and our organizations, then let us plan a different approach to accomplishment.

These people that are protesting are violating the civil rights of us ‘racist white people’ holding a conference and they are threatening the hotel. Why not call the police? Why not have the police out there and pepper spray the protestors? Typical of liberals. They claim to be against fascism and claim to be champions of free speech, this is another shining example of hypocrisy of white liberals and black racists.
I am most taken in as some other posters are with Imm’s FBI and Homeland Security connections. This to me is the most disturbing aspect of this whole dismal story. The Fed Gov is directly or indirectly supressing the 1st Ammendment using potentialy violent creeps like Imm to do it. Have not totalitarian regimes in their early stages always used street punks and thugs to intimidate and silence the opposition e.g. brownshirts? I fear we are much closer to a police state than a lot of folks realize.
Someday soon the experiment known as multi-culturalism is going to blow up in the faces of people such Mr. Imm. We see it already in the ostracizing of brainwashed whites such as the Clintons and Chris “leg-tingling” Matthews. A debate in the street or around crowds of any size pose some real problems. They tend to attract the dull witted but strong willed supporters of both sides. I’ve seen many a debate degenerate into a shouting match while the original point gets lost in a sea of babbling.
On the street I suspect Mr. Imm and or his supporters will turn it into the same thing and that’s if his supporters don’t get physical.
If Jared Taylor wants to debate Imm, he is well advised to do it where he can ensure his own safety. Given Imm’s federal connections and the “open” nature of the street, there can be no guarantee of it.
American Renaissance is not a militant organization and Jared Taylor is not a street fighter.
Maybe, the Westin Hotel will admit Amren’s delegates if they promise not to drink from the water fountains. How is this different from barring blacks admission to the lunch counter at Woolworth?

I don’t think we are supposed to know Imm works for the government. In other words, his one man pressure group is probably a CIA or FBI funded front group.
A lot of political movements - including National Review - were started this way.
Just a passing note.. I think we probably realize the gravity of what we are up against. And as well we appreciate that providence has allowed us to attempt sculpt our future in a way that benifits us (Euro descendents) as well as the greater whole. At this moment I also would like to draw attention to what I see as virtuous input by Deepak and the Jew among us* The love of truth and justice may sound over the top or grandiose… but maybe its not…What else do we have? To follow up on Mr. Patel’s comments. Recent revelations from a new book reveal just how much Bill Clinton-the first black president-despises blacks. Look where Bill and Hillary live. They live in one of the most Lilly White and expensive communities in America. Not that I care one bit that the Clintons despise blacks.

However, there is another group of liberal race-replacement enthusiasts who do not possess such enormous resources that would enable them to escape the consequences of race-replacement. Quite possibly, these people are future White Nationalists.
White Nationalism is the only game in Town for the vast majority of NATIVE BORN WHITE AMERICANS.
This poor excuse for a man has no intention of facing in a debate….EVER. He has a method of harassment wherein he utilizes psychological warefare 24/7. Almost everything he says is a lie, and he knows he could never rebut anything factually.

I have been to five AR conferences and each one had a few non-whites. Ironically, we were more diverse than the One People’s Party McCarthyites protesting the conference outside.
One of the speakers this year is an American Indian.
Oh, and you will not lack for civil debate as long as you are civil as well.
But try going outside and saying that you - as a non-white - support the right of whites to promote thier interests and you will indeed lack civil debate partners.

I was surprised to learn that Jeffery Imm is as old as he his. I assumed by his sophomoric ideas that he was very young.
I think the problem would be solved if the conference were held in a part of the country where left wing crazies are at a minimum…at least the ones who think think stripping off their clothes and running through the streets is an effective way to stop racism and get everybody to love each other.
A more rural community with public transportation would be a better choice as well. Moving a little further west might also offer better locations.
I’ve never attended a conference specifically because it has always been held in one of the most politically correct bastions in the country. The East Coast population centers are filled with non-whites who have nothing better to do than join movements to “save the shrimp” and/or “rattlesnakes,” as well as those other worthy endeavors that enable them to pursue something that offers a diversion in their drab, dreary lives. Looking at the four walls of an apartment in a sea of humanity will make a lot of weak-spined people go bonkers.
Having never accomplished anything in their lives, but failure, they NEED to have some kind of cause to pursue in order to subconsciously justify their existence.

How bout a place like KC. More conservative and the airport handles quite a few direct flights from the larger cities on both coasts. Next place might be Omaha, but the airport is somewhat limited. Just a thought.
I vaguely remember either the AR conference or the dead tree and ink version of AR coming out of Louisville quite some time ago. Can anyone fill me in?
