White Is a Color

Reb Kittredge, American Renaissance, July 31, 2021

I’m no anatomy doll,
transparent,

veins like wires
connecting my various parts,

bones and heart
exposed to plain view.

White is a color
too.

My whiteness
makes me to lie down

in green pastures,
enjoy the quiet.

It runs deep
as still waters—it fills

the cup of
my soul.

And though I walk
through the darkest valley

I shall never walk alone.
