Adam and Michelle do not want their full names disclosed but they tell 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS that they were “shocked and scared” by the brazen attack while they ate dinner at a Lowertown restaurant near the new Saints ballpark in November.

The two are seen on security video eating at the restaurant when a group of about a dozen teenagers walk into the establishment. One of the group members throws a glass at Michelle while another steals what police say is Adam’s cell phone off the table.

No arrests have been made in this case and police are still investigating two other group attacks in downtown.

In September, a police sergeant email outlines details of 50 people assaulting a girl on the light rail station platform near Fifth and Minnesota streets.

The sergeant says the girl was beaten unconscious and the fight then spread to a nearby hotel where wedding guests and an off-duty sheriff’s deputy was also beaten. {snip}

On Jan. 19, a 23-year-old man and his 56-year-old friend were robbed and beaten by a group of at least six men in the skyway in the 400 block of Minnesota Street. One man has been arrested in that case, but the other suspects have not been arrested.
