    I guarantee this has been going on for years. Most don’t care and the ones that do obviously can’t answer them all. I would wager they will have even more deaths this year than last. Actually, I’d bet money on it.

      To be fair, the blogs written by ground level white CPD cops, such as Second City Cop and True News USA are hardly anti-2A, in fact they’re pro, at least pro in the sense of it should apply to civilized people. Garry McCarthy…just a politician wearing a cop uniform that another politician (Rahm the Shower Queen) appointed.

    Considering the sheer number of racial minority member criminals running loose in Obama’s Crime Capital, why would this be surprising? That the police 911 call center is simply overwhelmed with daily calls and demands for instant help.

    All this will accomplish is that fewer crimes will be reported to police, Fewer crimes on the blotter = artificially-lower crime rate statistics.

    Since we all know who commits the overwhelming majority of crimes in the Windy City, we all know which racial group will, on paper, have ‘improved behaviour’…

    It’s getting to the point where if you want to survive in this country you almost have to join the PD or military. Even the greatest sniper in American history got snuffed out by some nut the other day. Get out of America now because we are well past the point of no return.

    This is surreal. My house was searched on December 16, 2011 because BATF wanted to make certain I had no firearms. They destroyed my friend’s gun safes 20 miles across town, and left almost 100 rifles otherwise unsecured inside a self-store.

      Bury your stuff. Some people don’t like to believe it but there will be a day when they really do show up to collect your guns and whatever else they can get away with taking.

        Bury most of your guns. Keep a few lower grade weapons for the police to find and take. Make a fuss but let them go. Let them believe you’ve been completely disarmed you. If they don’t find a few, they’ll keep looking until they find them all.

    Its easy to get the Chicago police to come to your house quickly. Just tell them there are Neo-Nazis in front of your house committing hate crimes with 30 round magazines.

    Blacks love to call 911 when they don’t get their BK Whopper fixed “their way.” If by this change in policy they don’t get the cops out to put on aprons and get that burger done right for them anymore, they’re going to holler “racism.” Don’t worry. Jesse Jackson will show up with an army of liberal reporters ready to turn it into a federal case. Holder will intervene and Moochelle will weigh in demanding that BK substitute low-fat mayo for regular. A decision to do less policing can have all sorts of interesting unintended effects.

    A lot of good comments. I live in Chicago and have needed the police only once — when my apartment was broken into when I was at work. The cops showed up within an hour, looked around, made out a report and left. They were professional, but it was clear they could do nothing about it, and would do nothing about it, and we both knew it. An “evidence technician” dropped by a bit later to take fingerprints, made a huge mess, and declared “Nothing usable here.” Took me a couple of hours to clean up after him. The thieves were much neater.

    This new 911 rule will have several effects:
    1. The cops will be better able to ignore obvious nuisance calls: “My daughter be sass-mouthin’ me!”
    2. The stats can be further tweaked in the dept.’s favor

    They’re just admitting what they’ve been doing all along. About 15 years ago when I lived in Hyde Park, I witnessed a mugging from my front room window. A black youth mugging what was probably a University of Chicago student. I went into the bedroom to call 911. Told the dispatcher what I’d seen. She (by voice, apparently an Afro-Am) asked me if I could see it now. No, I replied, because I’m now in the bedroom. But it’s happening on the street. She asks again if I can see it now. Again, no. In that case, she can’t do anything about it. Better to not have 911 if they’re going to make a joke of it.
