A Norwegian mom accused of killing her 20-month-old daughter by plunging her in a bucket of frigid water has come up with a sad defense—she was following the orders of her Skype swain.
Yasmin Chaudhry told police she was video-chatting with her British love-interest Ammaz Qureshi and that he urged her to “discipline” little Hunaina.
The girl drowned as a result, Oslo police said.
Chaudhry, 26, who initially told cops her daughter’s death in October 2010 was an accident, has been charged with unintentional murder and is in jail awaiting trial.
Qureshi, 33, conceded in interviews with cops that dunking the toddler in cold water was a scheme he and Chaudhry cooked up together, prosecutor Kristin Rusdel said.
