3 Charged with Robbing CTA Bus Passengers

Three people have been charged with hitting and robbing two passengers on a CTA bus on the Near West Side.

Akeem J. Manago, 18, of the 1200 block of West 14th Street was charged with aggravated battery in a public place, felony armed robbery and unlawful use of a weapon, all of them felonies, police said. He also was charged with misdemeanor counts of having a firearm and ammunition without a Firearm Owner’s Identification Card.

Christopher Jackson, 17, was charged with armed robbery and aggravated battery in a public place, both felonies, police said.

A 15-year-old boy was charged as a juvenile with felony robbery, being armed with a dangerous weapon and aggravated battery occurring in a public place.
