Rasmussen Reports, September 7, 2009

Eighty-three percent (83%) of voters nationwide say that people should be required to prove they are a citizen of the United States before receiving government health care subsidies. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 12% disagree and five percent (5%) are not sure.

The desire to limit the benefits to U.S. citizens is found across demographic and partisan lines. It is held by 95% of Republicans, 70% of Democrats and 87% of those not affiliated with either major party. It is favored by nine-out-of-10 conservatives and moderates, along with 56% of those who consider themselves politically liberal. But 32% of liberals hold the opposite view.

Well Barack Obama doesn’t agree with all these good citizens. After all, he went on national TV and blatantly lied. When one GOP congressmen called the slimy prevaricator on his fib, the press and pols came down on the S.Carolina lawmaker as if he were a traitor and criminal. You know. Like an illegal immigrant.

And here is the evidence that we’ll pay more for illegals’ health care

Well then the 12% who disagree, or the 32% of liberals who hold the opposite view should personally sponsor a few illegals and pay for their healthcare out of their own pocket, but don’t force it on the rest of us. Bet THAT might change their minds real quick huh?

I say, proof of citizenship or a valid visa should be needed to be present in the country in the first place. If a person is illegal he or she should be loaded in a airplane with U.S. Marshals and should be sent to Congo and should be given Congolese citizenship on landing. We should stop free aid to Congo but rather pay them money to take our illegals. It is as simple as that.
