Blacks are more likely to develop cancer and die from the disease than any other group, according to a report released today. Black patients also live a shorter time after diagnosis than others.
Death rates have fallen in recent decades for all groups, and the gap between the races has fluctuated over the years. Yet the gap between blacks and whites is just as wide today as it was in 1981, report co-author Ahmedin Jemal says.
Among women, for example, death rates were 14% higher for blacks than whites in 1981. Today, those rates are 16% higher. Death rates are 33% higher among black men than whites, a difference that is almost unchanged since 1981.

But blacks tend to be diagnosed at more advanced stages than whites, whose cancers are more often found at earlier, more curable stages. Blacks also are less likely than whites to get high-quality treatment in time to make a difference, says Peter Bach of New York’s Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, who was not involved in the new study.
In a groundbreaking 2004 study, Bach showed that the doctors who treated blacks were less likely to be board-certified and often lacked crucial resources, such as access to diagnostic imaging tests and specialists.

{snip} Yet blacks still have higher death rates than whites, even when they have the same level of education, the report shows.
Blacks are less likely to be screened for colorectal cancer and are more likely than whites to be overweight and sedentary, which can increase the risk of developing many kinds of cancers, the report shows.

There have been horrible race baiting articles about the petrochemical manufacturers in the city where I grew up in Louisiana. If you did not know the area you would believe that the small neighborhood that was discussed in the article (I had never even heard of it until I read the article) was some isolated town when the monstrous industries moved in and polluted the air and water. There was widespread pollution until the 1980’s and cleanup is still in the works. Not only did they cherry pick the only majority black community out of the larger city but white residents had higher than normal cancer rates too. Later research found out that black residents of the so called “cancer belt” also had higher than normal rates of smoking, drinking and obesity which could explain cancers in adults.
Obviously, the reason for this is crystal clear…Cancer is racist!!
Periodically some news media organ will release such a story, intended to make us White folks feel guilty, I suppose. But notice how they never include Hispanics, Asians or Indians in the study? It’s always starkly black and White, and even when factors appear to show blacks could improve their health themselves by dealing with, say, obesity and lack of exercise — it’s still twisted around to somehow be our fault for not teaching them better habits. We fought a Civil War to free them, we made them citizens, gave them the vote, used federal power to end Jim Crow, established affirmative action — at what point do we not still have them to raise?
To return to the fact of black and White, and all others excluded from the study, my guess is that Hispanics, often newly arrived in this country, would show up as more responsible in seeking health care than the blacks who have been here for almost 400 years; and that Asians on average would score even higher than Whites in health care utilization. The liberal press doesn’t want to muddy the waters by introducing any such nuances or detail!
“Yet the gap between blacks and whites is just as wide today as it was in 1981, report co-author Ahmedin Jemal says.”
What about the gap between blacks and Hispanics? I mean there are 45 million Hispanics here now, much more numerous than blacks. Is there a gap there? If so, what is it. Why won’t you tell us what that gap is? Or do you feel only a difference in black/white matters merit attention, because you hate Hispanics?
And, if you don’t hate them, why not include them in with your “gaps?”
How about gaps between blacks and Indians, Middle Easterners, Asians? I mean, aren’t those important also? There are a lot of those races here too? Why not report them?
Huh? Why not?
The cliched Marxist implication of this article is that the cancer rate disparities are ‘socio-economic’, which of course implies that we need to have a more equitable health care system, i.e., socialized medicine, to counteract the ‘institutional racism’.
However, all you have to do is stand behind a Black woman at the check out aisle in a supermarket, and observe what she is feeding herself and her children to understand why they suffer so many health problems—junk food loaded with artificial fats, sugar, and preservatives—virtually anything you see heavily advertised on T.V. Yes, you will see Whites buy the same junk, but not as a rule. Also, they fall for the advertising from MacDonalds which is specifically targeted at them: ‘I’m Lovin’ It’.
A person with a low IQ, regardless of race, is going to be more susceptible to the ridiculous appeals of advertising. Unfortunately, Blacks have a much higher percentage of individuals who fall into the low IQ category, and thus their collective health will suffer for it.
Blacks have the highest rates of cancer and AIDS? Diseases be racist.
Blacks are six times more likely to drown than whites? Water be racist.
Blacks most likely to be shot dead? Bullets be racist.
Planes made in Africa six times more likely to crash? Gravity be racist.
With all this news, you would think that blacks wouldn’t want to do anything insane like murdering cancer researchers:

You know it would be very useful if some of you would stop posting such obnxoxious comments whenever articles about diseases are posted on this website.
Such immature foolishness does nothing but give our detractors ammunition to use against us.
To Question Diversity:
Did you notice when the security guard offered to escort this thug up to her apartment, she replied:
“No, I don’t want him to think we don’t trust him.”?
Countless white women have been raped and killed after noticing black men acting suspiciously around them but refusing to take precautions for fear of being accused of “racism”.
America and the rest of the West, has a racial ” gap ” of disease and death; named capital crimes, much disproprtionately caused by non-whites, especially blacks, against their benevolent guest hosts, the Euro-Cascasian Christian; why is this pogrom not of any concern of our non-representaive ,liberal governments ? Asked these treasonous traitors that question .
As negligent as blacks are on other matters concerning their health (substance-abuse, obesity, poor diet, seat-belt use, sexual promiscuity, etc), part of this disparity in cancer death rates may be due to their simply waiting longer before seeking treatment. Whites who notice a mole change color, a strange, new lump forming underneath the skin or other suspicious body changes generally go to a doctor right away. Most cancers are quite treatable in their early stages, before they’ve had time to metastize. Waiting too long, though allows the potential for cancer to spread to places like one’s lymphatic system, and if that happens, the patient is pretty much a goner.
Complacency or vigilence in health matters would naturally be very much an IQ-related phenomenon, and we all know who stands where on the bell curve.
