Most Americans, I believe, thought all the race-baiting rhetoric might have finally come to an end. Apparently they were wrong.
Eric Holder says we need to keep on talking about race—having frank conversations.
OK, I’ll take the bait. Let’s talk frankly about race.
During the last presidential election, Barack Obama, the first black presidential candidate nominated by the Democratic Party, won the largest percentage of white voters of any Democrat in a two-man race since 1976.
Some 43 percent of white votes went to Obama—55 percent going to John McCain. Among younger white voters, 54 percent voted for Obama. To put that in perspective, in the past 30 years, no Democrat presidential nominee has won more than 45 percent of young white votes.
That suggests to me that white Americans are more than willing to put the racial divide behind them.
But what about blacks?
The sad reality is that 96 percent of black Americans voted for Obama—96 percent!
Where is the evidence of white racism in the presidential vote?
Not only did white Americans vote willingly for a black man for president, they voted for one with no qualifications {snip}.
So when are Barack Obama and Eric Holder and the rest of their divisive, America-hating gang of race hucksters going to give white America a break?
Far from being racist, American culture has so romanticized blackness that American white children now wish they were black. The hideous gangster culture of black hip-hop serves as their soundtrack, their speech riddled with ghetto language and their baggy pants falling off their flat behinds.
Why are white kids envious of blacks?
Maybe, in part, it’s because black is the new color of privilege in America—at least insofar as government is concerned. Blacks and other so-called minority groups get preference in hiring, for contracts, for educational opportunities, for grants, for student aid, for ownership of broadcast outlets and other businesses regulated by government. Yes, we’ve come a long way, baby—from racial preferences for whites to racial preferences for blacks.

If we’re a nation of cowards on matters of race, as Eric Holder suggests, it’s because too few of us are willing to point out the new institutional anti-white racism imposed by government.

I delt with blacks while in the service, when overseas in a port they would said to the locals they were “Americans” but once back on ship they became “african-Americans” once again, most locals didn’t fall for that, they knew what they were and avioded them.
Joseph Farrah asks why white kids are envious of blacks. First of all, I’m not sure that the average white kid would actually want to trade places with a black kid if he could. Chris Rock once said in his act that no white person would trade places with him adding, “And I’m Rich!” I tend to agree with him. That said, to the extent that white kids admire blacks, it is because they are “cooler”. They are naturally entertaining, incredibly confident with women and often well built and athletic. These are the natural gifts of the black man. Nothing that comes in handy for building an advanced society, but all things very much coveted among adolescents, and not a few adults.

The writier has a talent for understatement.
After watching black people in football, basketball, the movies, TV commercials, Television shows, people like Jesse Jackson,Oprah, Tiger Woods, etc. etc. and the adulation, the overwheening respect, and the obsequious behavior of people who are commentators on all of this, yes, I agree, they are over romantized and then some. I don’t remember the Apollo 11 astronauts who walked on moon, ever having been given this kind of treatment.
I’ve been saying this for years - and my leftist family has been ridiculing me for it. And yet it is obviously true that blacks are worshipped in America (and the West in general). This is one major contributer to white crime. Whites want to act black - so they adopt the criminal lifestyle. At that point we find leftists pointing at those wannabe blacks and using them as examples that violent crime is also found among whites. Black criminality and shallowness is a double-edged sword. We suffer from the black and we suffer from the stupid whites who emulate them.
There are many reasons why Africa is called the dark continent!
If it were possible for a black person to check into a hospital and get an operation that would transform that person into being white, along with the superior intelligence that white people have, would any black people still choose to remain black?
If getting a race change was possible with such an operation, would any rebellous, black idolizing white teenagers attempt to get such an operation in order to become black, without parental consent?
If medical science was advanced enough for a person to get a race change, and this operation was offered for free in all of Africa, would black Africans be more inclined to get a race change to become white, than black Americans? I ask this particular question because from previous articles of American Renaissance, I learned that black Africans know they are inferior to whites, and it does not bother them as much, as it does black Americans.
I certainly would not want to be black for all the gold and diamonds in all of Africa! For example, I am Jewish. My favorite weekend activities are going to German festivals and Scottish festivals. At these events, I am able to blend into the crowd, strike up friendly conversations with people I meet there, and enjoy being there, no problem whatsoever. Would I be able to do that if I were black? No way!
Germany today, itself, is a wonderful county to visit. I have been there many times. Berlin is fantastic. The best time to go to Munich is in the last two weeks of September for the Oktoberfest.
But getting back to race and ethnicity. Sometimes, I wish I could convert to being Scottish, but you can only be of Scottish heritage by being born into it. Every year, however, there are some Christians who go willingly go through the long and difficult process it takes to convert to Judaism. This I find very hard to understand, because Judaism does not require non-Jews to be converted for what it has to offer mankind and because there is still a tremendous amount of anti-semitism in America today. I have had many times in my life where I wish I was born a WASP. Therefore, to everyone reading this post, I am sure you can understand why I would not want to be black!
The white teenagers who idiolize blacks and wish they were black, have no idea what they are glorifying. If you are born black, most likely you will not be a celebrity like Oprah Winfrey, Will Smith, or Chris Rock, you will be stuck with low intelligence, live in a run-down part of a city, and you will not even be able to assimilate your way out of it.
I honestly don’t understand how black “culture” (folkway and style), so ignorant, goofball, low class, and clownish got passed off as the epitome of cool to the younger non-black public. It all points to gullibility and bad taste.
I’m 50 years old. When I was in high school in the early to mid 1970s, any white student who acted as if they were black were roundly mocked and ridiculed for it because such behavior was so obviously phoney. Even back then whites still had some remaining pride and sense of self despite the racial revolution happening all around us. Mandatory classes in “anti-racism” didn’t exist then, and our parents surely would have fought the school if certain liberal teachers dared to pull that on the students.
What’s “new” about this?
I’ve lived out my whole adult life as a caucasian male under affirmative action. In my particular area of education, preference is given even to naturalized citizens over native born in the name of “diversity”! I’m cynical beyond words about this bizarre concept that anyone nonwhite and/or female should be given an automatic 20-point head start.
Any minimally qualified black would be thrust to the forefront as an example of how “committed to diversity” everyone is, but there don’t seem to be more than a half dozen in the entire field.

I don’t agree with ANY of that.
I find it funny when I hear black men say that they are “strong” and white men are weak and their reason is because “black men have to work harder and endure prejudice in the legal system” and a million other excuses. Say this to them, “if you’re ‘stronger’ than white men, then how can we be holding you down? if you’re stronger than the white man, then how come the white man was able to oppress you and hold you back for hundreds of years?” I’d love to see their answer
I have to agree with this article. Our sickening, coarse culture is becoming more Afro-centric by the minute. It idolizes the black ghetto sub-culture constantly rather than the anglo-euro culture which created this advanced nation. The left wing media is obssesed with race, (look how much time they’ve spend on comrade Holders comments calling us “cowards” and the monkey cartoon in the New Yrok Post?) so its no wonder we now have an inexperienced, unqulified and etreemly liberal black man as the president.
It’s not just in America, it’s in many parts of the world where people want to act or model the behavior of gangsta rappers. And that’s the reality of it - they want to be like gangsta rappers, not like polished, successful blackmen or women.
I completely identify with the post of Anthony @ 10:24, as I am the same age and we also had no problems with white identity.
The youth of that era would not have identified with a black, and actually went out of our way not to associate with anything connected to blackness (from our POV)—-menthol cigarettes, malt liquor, Cadillacs, etc.
I don’t know if such attitudes were common for the generation or if it had something to do with growing up in the heartland.
“Naturally entertaining” = Sure some of them are but most are incredibly inarticulate.
“Incredibly confident with women” = Yes they are but most of them “date” women white guys would not want to be seen with.
“Well built and athletic” = Yes, they possess these fleeting qualities. However over 99% of black men are has-beens in athletics by the time they are 22 years old.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Africa is poor because it has poor leaders. The people want to learn, grow, and build but cant because of a poor government. I to have some Jewish blood and wouldnt change for the world. You like many of the people on this site have many insecurities when it comes to blacks, thats why tend to generalize. I noticed this when I was in college and notice some white people would get so angry when blacks and whites dated (which is rare).
Whites spend billions dollars and countless hours in the sun trying to get the perfect tan. This is after it has been proven that it will damage your skin in the long run. Im white and proud but dont feel the need to bash other ethnic groups in the process.

Thats why so many white people adopt non white babies from other countries, inter mix with latinos and asians every chance they get. I walked into a wal mart and every white woman was married to a non white or had a baby by one. Whites spend billions on black movies, music, and clothing lines. As well as get tans, lip and butt injections. Trying to look more white? Not only is your statement false on all counts but it also shows your lack of thought.
I can only suggest that, to young white kids, raised and living in an environment that prizes academic excellence, personal responsibility, and thoughts of a successful future, black culture is the ultimate “out.”
While white kids are weighed upon to gain and display good character, blacks live a life of largesse. They benefit from all sorts of race-based priveleges, application preferences, financial incentives, government programs, etc.
While white kids are getting summer jobs or mowing lawns or babysitting, black kids are playing basketball or hanging out all night.
While white families are hiring algebra tutors, black kids are getting “passed” because they’re football standouts or basketball stars.
While white kids are hammered on about poor grammar and literary skills, black kids use “made-up” words.
I suppose that white kids see all the attention that black kids get, but aren’t yet worldly enough to understand that it’s false, that it’s undeserved, that it’s founded on a wily rewrite of history or fear of the left’s racial gestapo.
It’s my suggestion that white kids see black culture as an escape from the “pressures” that white society creates to be intelligent and independent.
Why should Steven want to study for his calculus exam when Laquann-the-basketball-star gets a “pass?” Why should Allison want to finish reading Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” when Shaunquita is excused early every day to pick her baby up from school-provided child care?
I’d imagine kids live in the present. They think the loose lifestyle of their black age-mates is “cool.” However, it’s up to us - white adults - to set the example for them as to what work and responsbility can provide.

This statement makes me chuckle. Blacks are in government because they are basically unemployable anywhere else. The work is not very demanding and it’s nearly impossible to get fired from a civil service job, especially if your black.

It seems to me that part of the appeal of Black “culture” to adolescents is the the average Black adult is intellectually equivalent to the average White 15 year old. They are kids for life and their music and style express that perfectly. To a typical goofy White kid who only sees TV blacks, what’s not to like?

Anthony and Kitty are on the right track with their respective posts. 30 years ago, any white girl that dated a black man was shunned socially, and usually it was the homliest of the white girls that you would see with a black male. Starting in the late 80’s I noticed that many of the youth in my area were “acting black”, with the shaved sided haircuts, sideways hats and street lingo that was so forced as to be hilarious. I asked some of the males why they were emulating the blacks and they replied that a lot of the popular white girls were starting to date the black thug-types in their schools. That was an eye opener. Instead of the white kids making these white girls into outcasts, they were taking themselves down a peg culturally all for the chance of a date with these Jezabel’s. It has only gotten worse since then, with MTV and the media propping up the black culture as “cool” and mocking the white’s as “nerds” or “geeks” because they do well in school and can actually speak the English language. We have just about lost the younger generation in Northeastern Ohio. I don’t know what it’s like in the heartland or in the smaller communities, but with most of the young people voting for Obama, the prospects can’t be too promising.

I relate completely, I am about to turn 47, and was in High school from 76 to 80. In those days, whites were still proud to be white. The beauties who were celebrated in those days, were the gorgeous white women of Charlies Angels. And while disco music was covered by both whites and blacks alike, if disco was to your liking, the Bee Gees, still rang supreme. Furthermore, white rockers like Aerosmith, Pink Floyd Boston, Blue Oyster cult and the like, were topping the charts. For those who liked pop-rock, you had Fleetwood Mac, Peter Frampton, Rod Stewart etc.. And for the new wave crowd there was the Cars, or Supertramp. It was a great time to be young, and still a great time to be white. After the late 80’s when rap was pushed heavily on American youth, black culture took over, and white youth lost their identity. Ironically, black rappers have sampled countless tunes, from white rockers of our youth. Almost none of them have enough talent to write their own music, much less play their own insturments. They are a talentless lot of hacks. And I am thankful I grew up when I did.
97% of whites in the US marry whites. I’d like to know where “rational thinker” is living to see ALL white women with non-white men. I live in Los Angeles and 90% of the time the white women you see with black men are the obese, homely, loud-mouth low IQ types. You might see a decent looking white woman with a black once in a while, but in those cases, the black is usually wealthy.
