Video Game Plays Strange Message

More news stories on Islam in America

Jessica Hayes, WTHI-TV (Terre Haute), January 26, 2009

Months ago, Rachel Jones was shocked to discover her 4-year-old’s baby doll seemed to have a hidden message: Islam is the light.

Imagine her surprise when a game for her 8-year-old daughter’s Nintendo DS had the same message.

Rachel said she bought the Nintendo game, Baby Pals, as a gift for her 8-year-old daughter after a good report card.

She had no idea the game also contained the hidden message “Islam is the light.”

The message on the doll and in the Nintendo game sound exactly the same.

In a virtual reality setting, the child playing the game can feed the baby or teach it to crawl, among other things. It’s only when the child gives the baby a bath that it repeatedly seems to say “Islam is the light.”

Nintendo’s representatives said the game is manufactured by a third party, so they’re not responsible for the content, but the game’s packaging clearly states the game is licensed by Nintendo.

This kind of paranoid delusional conspiracy garbage only serves to undermine legitimate criticism of Islam. This woman needs to be evaluated by a psychiatrist.

I listened to the doll on youtube over and over again and for the life of me could not hear “Islam is the light”. I haven’t heard the DS game yet, but I’m skeptical. Even if those things did say that, a child isn’t going to strap an explosive vest on beause a doll said “Islam is the light”. Don’t we have bigger problems to deal with as race realists?

I listened and it sounded like “Islam is the light” to me, but I could be wrong. My question is, if that’s not what it’s saying, then what IS it saying? What could it say that would sound similar to that phrase?

Sounds pretty clear to me. When we have such a fabulous “global” market I’m surprised this hasn’t happened more often. Wait until they start messing with our food supply….

I heard a tape of this played on the radio last week, and the “words” seemed incomprehensible jibberish to me. One could just as easily ascribe the jibberish the characters in “The Sims” speak as pro-Islam.

Jones could probably benefit from a Prozac prescription.

I heard the doll in person and it does, without a doubt, say “Islam is the light”. Maybe it sounds different on youtube but I know what I heard. No doubt about it.

It’s pretty clear to me. What is equally clear is that the clip is exactly the same in both instances. Not similar. And certainly not garbled. Clearly intentional.
