What jumps out at me is John McCain’s participation. There is a theory that Obama’s choice of Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano for HLS isn’t as much for her border “expertise,” or that she was an early BHO supporter over HRC, but for that BHO is rewarding McCain for forfeiting the election, by taking out his most serious opposition for Senate re-election. I expect McCain to change parties if the Dems wind up with 59 in the Senate.

As for the subject matter, what are they all proposing to do that hasn’t been done already?

“Fixing the schools will fix the achievement gap.”

That’s really funny. They continue on with let’s pretend very successfully, keeping black low I.Q. and inability a taboo subject.

It’s one of the most humorous topics on the race issue, right along with the claim that having a half-black president will give black men the impetus they need to graduate from college, then go on to complete their doctorates.

Real life is truly stranger than fiction.

Watch out. They think they can spend their way out of the nation’s economic problems. You can bet that there will be plenty of proposals to “spend away” the achievement gap too. “Our kids need a bailout!”

Instead of constantly pouring my tax dollars into a bottomless pit decade after decade, in a hopeless endeavor to “fix” the racial achievement gap, perhaps the government should simply create a “correction multiple” of 30 to 35 percent and add it to the scores of Blacks throughout all levels of academia. It’s the only way balance will be achieved.

Once again, the facts.

No amount of Federal funding will enable cotton pickers to become scholars. No amount of tutoring. No amount of visual aids. No amount of teacher pay. No matter what the class size. No matter how many books they have in the school library. No amount of bright colored construction paper or marker pens, will make poets out of stevedores. History has already proven that fact.

As we inaugurate the United State’s first African-American president, there is no more important time to address the shameful achievement gap that persists between the races in our country.

Shame on you, Mother Nature, for this shocking achievement gap between the races! How dare you make the races different in the name of “diversity?” Don’t you know that diversity must be of the most superficial nature only, say in the manner of skin color or mere culture? To make any real diversity in capacity or natural abilities cannot be allowed! After all, we must “celebrate” diversity while at the same time denying it exists!

What exactly is “shameful” about this? A canary isn’t as strong as a goose, but there is nothing “shameful” about recognizing that. A collie is considered less intelligent than a poodle, but it hardly stands to reason that this is a “shameful” condition.

It’s biological reality, and nothing to be ashamed of. About the only thing that IS shameful is assuming everyone is equally able in all respects because that in turn means that you turned off your brain.

Yes! Question Diversity. I was bound and determined to vote for Pat Buchanan in 2000, but I was suckered into voting for Bush at the last second by my conservative family members and friends, especially since the poll numbers were so close, as it turned out, they were! I voted for Chuck Baldwin in 2008. This election seems like a replay of 1996, where the born loser fought tooth and nail during the primary but was a whipped puppy in the general election. But Dole, at least, resigned from the US Senate, whereas McCain is still around. Any theories?

If the quality of a school is measured by academic achievement, the only way to improve a school is to increase the quality of the students. No amount of highly paid, high quality teachers will results in success at teaching nuclear physics to below average students. Its just not going to happen.

It takes an average IQ of around 100 to graduate from high school and fully comprehend the subject matter. IQ’s over 120 will self teach even in the absense of teachers or schools. IQ’s over 110 will learn in even the poorest schools with inadequate teachers. IQ’s less than 90 will not be successful in academics even with the best schools and the finest teachers.

It doesn’t make me feel bad to realize that at least half of all white people in this country are not college material. All people black, white or otherwise need to understand their strengths and weaknesses and invest their efforts in something that will maximize the former and minimize the latter in order to give them the best chance at succeeding in life. We need to reinstitute IQ tests.

I think that you’re underestimating blacks here. Sure, in general, blacks and whites may never be equal as far as mental/intellectual potential goes. But to simply write off blacks as overall “inferior” by certain standards is premature in my opinion. There were (and still are) a handful of blacks whose intellectual prowess are on par with whites such as past great black thinkers like Booker T. Washington, Langston Hughes, and Marcus Garvey, to their contemporaries like Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Shelby Steele, and, my personal favorite, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright of Issues & Views. Of course, these blacks are the exception to the rule as this doesn’t change the fact that blacks, as a group, lag behind other races academically and intellectually. But history has also shown that even the “lowest” of races have the potential to rise to some degree of greatness.

Besides, if you want to talk about which race is better, there’s only one objective way to determine the superiority of one racial/ethnic group over another; and that’s through Nature’s test: The Survival of the Fittest. The strong survive and the weak perish. From what I’ve seen so far, it is whites who are failing Nature’s test and declining fast. Unless white people shape up and soon, they will eventually go the way of the dinosaurs.

The trouble with Black education is the homes from which the children come rather than the schools. White children from poor homes rarely do well either. All children are, to some extent, home schooled, and when the parents don’t do their part, the children will not learn.

Back in the sixties I taught for two years in an all-Black school on the Westside of Chicago. The vice-principal, a middle-aged Black women would tell every parent who came to register a child, “You see to it that your child has ten hours of sleep and a good breakfast before he comes to school, and we won’t be able to stop him from learning.” She once told us that she knew most of the parents would totally ignore her words, but she could not stop saying them.

Most of the problems in Black schools are caused by Black homes; most of the problems in White schools are carsed by White homes; and the schools cannot do anything about it until the parents clean up their act.

Yep, just give the “Revrum” Al and his race-hucksters at the EEP (another silly front group for his favorite “charity”, himself) access to tax dollars and it will fix all the problems of blacks in public schools.

DEAR SIR: YOU DID NOT READ MY POST. I NEVER MENTIONED “BLACKS”.

But to directly address your post….just as people are not equal, nor are they uniform. What we should celebrate is the infinite human variety.

Education has two basic purposes:

To identify those people who would most benefit from additional learning, because of their capacity to think, reason, and remember. These minds should be cultivated to a practical extent.

Make a sincere effort to provide everyone with a basic (minimum) understanding and skill set, which will enable the learner to be a good citizen, able to support and care for themselves (and their family). That skill set would include basic math, English reading and conversation, and socialization to the greater society.

We don’t actually expect much….but it is too much for some of our citizens…..and still we manage to produce Nobel prize winners.

There is absolutely nothing they can do about school desegregation. The fact is whites today are much more aware than they were in the 60’s as to what a large percetage of blacks in school means to both the safety and education of their children. In the 60’s and 70’s many naively went along with integration and bussing. No Child Left Behind was the final nail in the coffin of the public trusting government to make the right decisions on educating their kids. Today folks will just move or take up home schooling before they put up with any more fools experimenting with their kids. School integration is as they say “history”.

Whites are not declining because of Nature. Nature is what made Whites what they are—creative, innovative, curious, industrious.

We are a unique people whose talents have built the greatest, freest civilizations EVER created on the face of the earth.

What has led to our decline is a hostile, anti-White government, media and academia that forcefully suppress Whites in favor every other ethnic/racial group. Whites are punished harshly through specious AA, set-aside programs, quotas and satanic taxes. BTW, the Republican Party has been doomed for years. They are now in direct competition with the Democrats in promoting and enforcing multiculturalism and diversity.

I am a strongly Conservative, heterosexual White man, but the Republican Party no longer represents me. It is no longer comprised of traditional Conservatives. While home environment and parenting is important to a child’s education, it’s incorrect that poor whites are as educationally doomed as blacks. Poor white students still outscore middle-class blacks, and usually outscore wealthy blacks.

Yes, black parenting styles vs white parenting styles are partially to blame, but race creates behavior as well as IQ. Cultures are created by races.

Poor parenting must be fixed. Then DNA must be fixed. Civil rights fascists will never understand the issue or fix anything since they labor under the faulty premise that “racism” is to blame.
As an aside, I invite everyone to put the word “racism” in quotation marks when you write it. The word is being rendered meaningless through overuse and misuse as time goes on. Putting the word in quotes will help this process, which is important since the word is currently used to stifle free speech, to extort, and to intimidate. Stand your ground and don’t allow this asinine word to have any effect on you.

Just wondering if there are adequate techical schools available to blacks in urban areas. Many of these kids would benefit from good trade schools rather than high schools that are not suitable to their temperment. They would probably find it more interesting to have a real hands on learning experience than just the academic stuff. At least when they graduate from school they will have some kind of marketable skill.

For example, mestizos are closest to them in I.Q. Why not work toward catching up with them before worrying about whitey?

I’ve always maintained that the Department of Education is about generating non-White jobs, not about educating children (which is far down on the list of their goals).

After all, what does the government do with all those black PhDs in Education?

The secondary goal is to indoctrinate and intimidate White children into government-sanctioned mult-culti, PC psychobabble to bring them in line with government plans for a New World Order (with Whites on the bottom). The Communists couldn’t do a better job than the Department of (Re-) Education.

Actually our population has stayed marginally the same as a race. The only real losses we’ve suffered are from the small minority of whites who race mix and from whites who refuse to actually have children. In the big picture, our population is still relatively the same. We have lost territory, but that can be regained.

The worst case scenario is that whites breed en masse with coloreds as they did in Mexico and Brazil. Best case scenario is we regain territory for whites only.

Because our numbers are rapidly declining around the world. Because 95% of the legal immigrants who come to the U.S.A. are not white by government policy. Surely it is not immoral for white Americans to want to live in safety and not be overwhelmed, overtaxed and outbred into non-existence?
