CNN’s orange-haired septuagenarian chatterbox Larry King has been bowled over by the new Age of Obama, enthusing that his youngest offspring (from his seventh marriage) wants to be black. I guess it’s a case of black being, er, the new black.
Interviewing a visibly uncomfortable Bob Woodward on his eponymous CNN show last night, Larry, 75, gushed: “My younger son Cannon, he is eight. And he now says that he would like to be black. I’m not kidding. He said there’s a lot of advantages. Black is in. Is this a turning of the tide?”
The distinguished Watergate scribbler responded “well, maybe” and talked about how his 12-year-old daughter Diana liked Barack Obama’s inaugural speech before gingerly steering the discussion towards George W. Bush’s magnanimity and how he “hasn’t, you know, made any cheap shots” at his White House successor.
It could have been worse, Bob. The other day, Larry blurted out that things were changing so fast that there could soon be a lesbian in the Oval Office. “Who would’ve thunk it,” he said on KIIS radio in Los Angeles. “I can’t believe it. Well, in 10 years’ time we’ll have, a what, a lesbian?”

This is no surprise to me. I have always perceived Larry King as a Hollywood’sy-Leftist figure. I dislike his program and I have not watched him for many years.

The real heartbreak to me in world of entertainment was Andy Griffith coming out in support for Obama in the Ron Howard video. Of course, I always knew Howard was a super-Liberal, but Griffith’s views came as a complete and disturbing shock.
The Andy Griffith Show was always my favorite program. I felt that his character as Sheriff Taylor epitomized the best of conservative America. Alas, it was only acting. Who could have guessed Griffith’s real views.
I can no longer enjoy that program. It disgusts me to know what Andy Griffith really stands for. That’s hard for me to post, because he was always my favorite actor. It would be like my own father coming out for Obama. I detest the show now. It was my favorite show for 35 years, and now I can never watch it again.

Having previously lived in the DC Area for 30 years, I can tell you that anyone who lives there and spouts this kind of nonsense is nothing but a hypocrite.
DC is one of most segregated cities you’ll find. If he wanted to put his money where his mouth his, he could sell his Georgetown home, and move into predominantly black PG County…

This whole topic is as stupid as stupid gets. Larry King needs to slap some sense into his stupid kid. stupid is the order of the day! What does he mean by the “turning of the tide”? What tide? I hit a coffee shop every morning and the retired group of business men who have never shown any racism are quickly becoming so. The arrognace and popping off of the blacks is turning people against them, people who would have not given Obama a third look had he and they been Americans and left the African-American thing behind. The local police are starting to have stories that really indicate just how stupid the black race is. The are now stopping black drivers for speeding and minor things where the black drivers are telling the officers they don’t have to obey the law because there is a black president now! Or they can’t arrest them for this or that because the President is black now! Blacks are becoming the blunt of more and more jokes because the mainstreem whites are actually getting to see just how simple and stupid the blacks really are! So every day that goes by, the blacks are losing the respect that they had built up over the last several years. Their true “colors” are shining through!
Liberal father who works for a lib network, and the kid probably goes to a lib school, and this isn’t a surprise, this is an expected result. Combine this with the story from yesterday about Rev. Lowery wanting “white to do right,” and it makes perfect sense.

Children naturally wish to be the heroes who are presented to them. The current culture has been producing a steady stream of black heroes for decades. I doubt that there has ever been a phenomenon quite like this in the history of the world — because of television.

In response to Vindicator. You are spot on my friend. I am an expat white South African. When the blacks came to power it became, and still is, common practice for the blacks to challenge all laws and all authority. What finally results is the racialising of a situation that was otherwise not racialised, which manifests with previously moderate individuals starting to express open racism. I imagine the US will move right of centre, and it will be brought about by everyday black behaviour.

I was shocked too when I saw that video. I would never have believed that Andy Griffith was a liberal. Most people I know who were liberals usually change their views as they get older. I’m agree. Everytime I see that show come on, I am heartsick.

Let’s face it, since the late 80’s, blacks have dominated pop culture, and our Marxist driven liberal media has made sure of it. For 20+ years, rap and hip-hop are about all young people will find on MTV or on the airwaves. All this is too ironic, given the fact that most of them do not play their own instruments, or even write their own music. In many cases their songs are just rap tunes set to songs written by white artists of the past, or else are crudely written gangsta rap songs. Fashion trends are generated by them, with baggy attire for males, and tight hoochie mama clothing for young females. There are no white rock stars, or young cultural hero’s for white kids to look up to these days. It’s little wonder why many white kids are having an identity crisis today. That said, given Kings liberal personality, it’s little wonder his son would especially feel this way
One cannot really blame the boy for wanting to be black if you came to realize your daddy is the hard-favored Larry. King’s difficulties in regard to making up his mind on marriage partners also is doubtless a disappointment for King jr. However the younger King has no doubt gotten his perspective on blacks from television and the movies never having ventured into the “Hood” to have a look around. A revealing experience for junior would be to spend a semester or two in a school that is predominately black, this would cure the boy of what ails him very quickly.
I agree wholeheartedly that Larry King is a true simpleton, however this illustrates how important it is for all of us to diligently instruct our kids on TRUE American history; our traditions, our successes, our heroes and our advancements. As parents we must teach our kids to be proud white Americans, we must constantly battle the leftist propaganda that is spewed constantly by a contemptible mass media.

There is a big propaganda effort by the media, particularly English speaking media, to portray black as cool but as I know from experience you grow out of it.

Yes, physical and verbal attacks on Whites will increase exponentially and blacks will be given their usual pass by the media.
It is no wonder that gun sales (especially to women) are at record level. I’ve also noticed, while walking my dogs, that many of my neighbors have put in new security systems, installed cameras, and have recently added 12-foot-high, thick concrete retaining walls with iron gates around their property.
I now walk along entire streets with these huge walls where the houses look like walled-off fortresses. I also noted several newly hung ‘beware of owner’ (poster with a picture of a .357 on it) and ‘beware of dog’ (poster of a vicious police dog) signs that I’d never seen before.
People are hunkering down (and rightly so). I guess it is a ‘sign’ of the times.

These white kids who worship blacks seem to be lost and confused as to who they are. They were never raised properly by their parents. These parents, including a lot of single parents, didn’t instill in them the white pride that these kids need to become confident adults. Always remember that parents can shape their kids attitudes. The parents failed these kids, and as such, the white race is now in peril.
As King Cannon tells his daddy that he wishes to be black, I have to wonder how many “real” black folk hes been around.
why worry about it, let them become black. they can lower their standards if they want to, they have to live in it.

Well here in Central Florida, white kids have on super tight pants, dress in torn dark close, their hair looks like they did it in the dark, their hair is dyed all these funny colors, they were heavy make up with eye liner (males too), they have piercings all over their face and ears, obscene tatoos all over their bodies (women included), they blast loud screaming heavy metal throught their stereo’s, and they call themselves gothics, rockers, and punkers (which is a coward or homosexual).
So looks like we both have our hands full with annoyances.
This is telling. It shows us exactly how soft totalitarianism starts at home.
Larry King is probably making this up. He and his handlers probably think it’s a good story to tell the white masses, to keep them rolling along, unaware of what’s really going on around them.

I went to school with blacks and they are pretty cool. Some them do work hard for the positions that they have. The majority of blacks work hard and do not benefit from affirmative action in every single case like u try to point out.
