An Augsburg College student and Sarah Palin supporter from Alaska was beaten on election night while walking to her dorm and was called a racist by a group of four young women because she had on a McCain/Palin presidential campaign button, authorities and the victim said.
Annie Grossmann, a freshman on the Minneapolis college’s hockey team, suffered blurred vision and is thought to have had a concussion from a punch in the eye, but declined medical attention, she said.

Grossmann said she was in a dorm lobby with a handful of fellow Republicans watching election returns with “a bunch of Democrats around next to me, cheering [Barack] Obama on and rubbing it in our faces.”
Once it was obvious that Obama was going to win, Grossmann said, she left the building alone shortly after 9:30 p.m. and headed to her room.
Under a skyway connecting the two buildings, four women “bigger than I am” came up to her, she said.
“One approached me and got in my face and called me racist because I had the pin on. That really ticked me off, but I kind of left it alone because she was so much bigger than I am,” said Grossmann. She is 5 feet 2 and weighs 120 pounds, and played boys high school hockey in Alaska. “The girls in the background were just a little bigger than me. They were mocking me from the sidelines.
“I didn’t say anything… . This one [bigger] girl grabbed me by the shoulders and was holding me. After about five minutes, I just wanted to get out of there.”
Grossmann, who is white, said she told the women, who were black, “You guys don’t even know me. There’s no reason to think I’m racist.”
At that point, she said, she pushed the bigger one in the group, and “she punched me, and the back of my head hit a brick wall.”
“‘Are you serious?”’ she recalled saying to the women. After cursing at Grossmann, the women left, and “I held my eye and went to my room.”

Grossmann’s parents, Bruce and Dawn, said that in the weeks leading up to the presidential election, Annie had trouble on campus because of her political leanings and for being a hunter.
Bruce Grossmann said a “PETA person” had to be removed from her dorm room because he was upset by a photo of her with a black bear she had shot. Also, he said, she attended an icebreaker on campus and was booed when she identified herself as a Republican.
“I don’t think she was prepared for the close-mindedness,” he said. “I told her she needs to take a lower profile [for the sake of] her academic and her sports careers.”

Police and Augsburg University say they have no reason to suspect Grossmann was not assaulted.

Police have no reason to believe this girl was not assaulted, so what are they doing about it?
It’s so typical of many blacks in this country that they not only accuse conservatives of “intolerance,” they practice it themselves when they don’t like a conservative’s point of view.
As to the “four against one odds,” that’s typical of blacks, also. That, or catching you when you’re in an impossibly vulnerable position, then threatening you, which happened to me a couple of times in the Army. I was a green, totally innocent 18-year-old from a small town, and there was a certain type of urban, black GI that hunted for “White boys” like me to pick on. I know just how Annie Grossmann feels.
I believe that this young woman should strongly consider filing criminal charges, even if the chances of prosecution are low. This is clearly a hate crime. Even now, some time after the attack.

Fed up with the whole process myself I had let a local candidate put his sign in my yard on our high traffic street, simply because, he was nice in asking about it. That afternoon both our neighbor and my spouses friend were shrieking over the phone at us. From there on I made a policy. Outside of the face to face anynominity of the internet, I tell people that I believe in protecting the “Sanctity” of the secret ballot more than the vote itself. Then I walk off and get more punch.
They will be pulling Bibles out of school children’s hands and spitting on them in a few years imo. Liberals are way past anything liberal and have crossed the line into facism only the liberal brand of it. Google liberal facism.
I get the impression that Miss Grossman does not realize she was the victim of racism and a hate crime.

The intolerance of the liberal left never ceases to amaze me. They pride themselves on being so accommodating of diversity, provided that any opinions or actions fall within the select range of what they consider to constitute diversity. This was seen, for example, in Gloria Steinem’s denunciation of Sarah Palin - for ‘feminists’ such as Ms. Steinem, women are not to be accepted in the public sphere unless they hold specific political left-wing leanings. Whatever happened to feminism being about just letting women be what they want to be?
Annie Grossmann has nothing to apologize for - it is the Democrat-leaning students, the truly racist black girls who attacked her, and the intolerant general student body, not to mention the permissive faculty and administrators, who should hang their heads in shame. In many respects, admitting you’re a right-winger these days is tougher than coming out of the closet as a homosexual, or even a pedophile. We need to encourage persons such as Ms. Grossmann to hang tough and never waver in the face of left-wing intolerance re: their common sense pragmatism and conservatism.
You would really think a Lutheran college in Minnesota would be a safe place for a college freshman woman to be. Why is Augsburg not a safe place for this girl? Who has made it that way?
Academic tolerance and diversity boils down to “white people suck” and “Conservatism is a disease that should be illegal”. Colleges are all about skin color and lockstep political conformity. My Daughter is a Political Science major at a prestigious private college. She is also a very smart, outspoken, somewhat opinionated but informed conservative. She has been warned by the single conservative member of the faculty to sit in the back of class, shut up, and regurgitate verbatim what she is “taught”. Her law school acceptance might depend on it. This fall my daughter returned to find her entire schedule undone. She tried re-registering only to find her advisor had dropped her without notice. Her first 2 years of courses as outlined by this “advisor” were so out of sync my daughter must now attend an additional semester to graduate, at a cost to me of $20,000. We are certain (from comments and actions) her advisor did this because she is outspoken in her beliefs. But Knowing it and proving it, are of course, not the same thing. (something Many Dems need, desperately, to learn)
You will see. This is just the start. There is a profound change in attitude among African - Americans. I had an experience today that exemplified my belief. Through sheer neglect I did not pay my water bill for my office. Its approximately forty dollars per month.
So I drive down to the water company and the following ensues:
Me: I’m here to pay my water bill.
Clerk [ guess her race]: Wait in line.
Me: O.K. but there is no one here.
Clerk: That lady over there is ahead of you she’s getting her money. [Guess her race].
Me: Sorry I didn’t know she was in line.
Clerk: We serve the people who get here first.
Me: O.K. Sorry.
Twenty minutes later after the two “ladies” got through “discussing” the bill.
Clerk: Next.
Me: I’m here to pay my bill my water has been turned off.
Clerk: There will be a hundred dollar reconnection fee along with the bill.
Me: O.K. Just give me the amount.
Clerk: Don’t be in such a hurry.
Me: When can I get the water turned back on?
Clerk: Maybe today depends on how busy the service men are - you shouldn’t have let it be turned off.
Me: But my secretaries were in the office and would have paid the bill but the man [also you can guess his race as well] didn’t knock on the door to let us know that the water was about to be turned off.
Clerk: The service men don’t have to knock if they are in a hurry but someone has to be there when it is turned back on.
Me: When will the service man come by.
Clerk: If he comes by today he should be there before eight tonight.
It is obvious by my appearance that I was not a big (or little) President Elect Obama supporter.
Before the election my water would have been turned on within an hour - it is now past eight at night and still NO WATER!

The radical leftist climate at these colleges created by the obvious left wing biases of the professors and the administration, plus their encouragement of black on white violence to those who don’t hold their views, makes them no more than liberal bastians of thought control, and they should have been investigated by Congress long ago, while the Republicans were in control.
But like everything else about the Republicans they don’t know zip about psychological warfare and they have even less inclination and guts to employ it.
They no longer fear us like they used to. Fifteen years ago Blacks were afraid to walk into my nieghborhood, even though they didn’t have any reason to. For 25 years I’ve been putting yard signs out at election time. This is the first election that I have had my yard signs smashed and stolen 4 times. Two of those times I didn’t see who did it. Twice it was Blacks. We got got trouble in River City.
There were also four students at Rowan University who were assaulted and robbed on campus in the last three or four days. One of them was beaten viciously AFTER he surrendered all his money to his attackers.
So much for my post election “Epiphany” theory vis a vis Blacks.
Gun sales have risen sharply since the election. Most people interviewed at the gun stores claimed that they feared a complete ban on gun sales. I think however that the real fear is open racial warfare.
Another example of the irretrievably broken university system in the United States. Any instance in which there is even the slightest challenge to the overtly PC norm the offender is greeted with howls of rage from the leftist faculty and student groups. These radical leftists then pressure a usually spineless administration into taking punative action against any non PC idea. If this situation had been reversed we all know that the white students would be immediately booted from school and prosecuted, then there would be a campus wide “anti-racist” protest and a call for healing and more restrictions on free speech.

At the very least, assault and possibly aggravated assault, and by preventing her from leaving when she tried, the possibility of a federal charge of kidnapping rears it’s head. The “assailants” will be doing this again soon, and probably to her again. Blacks like to sit around and build to a crescendo of revenge, and then go take it out on someone.
Just imagine the headlines and vigorousness with which the college would pursue the assailants had the races been reversed. Consider a small black female basketball player detained, berated, and assaulted by some burly white girl with three others providing backup. Most of the country would know Augsburg College within 24 hours.

Yes, this is all to be expected. After all, the blacks are now “empowered” by the election of one of their own. And of course, empowerment to blacks means “Let’s stick it to whitey”. My gift to my college daughter for Christmas (I can still say that, right?) will be a new Glock, and CHL class. Unfortunately, this behavior will only get much worse after 20 Jan 2009. This episode sounds an awful lot like the McCain/Palin campaign worker who claimed to be assaulted by a black man because of a sticker on her car or a button on her coat. That was right before the election. It took her two or three days to recant.

The reason there are so few white hoax crimes (they happen about once a decade)is that whites never get any sympathy or attention when they are attacked by blacks (which happens every day).
But as readers of amren.com know, blacks hoax whitey at least once a month. There are never any consequences or outrage when whites are scapegoated and the incident quietly fades down the memory hole.
Anyone intelligent has to know that the pendulum has swung and the intolerance that Whites have historically been accused of is being sported as a badge of pride among those who once marched for tolerance and equality. All they wanted was a chance! Well, now they have it, and look - isn’t this a surprise?
Their kids grew up listening to their parents anti-White and anti-conservative tirades the same way that conservative kids have heard the opposite. Except that now, if a conservative kids leaks out a banned word at school, the parents are called and warned, “Big Brother is watching and he is a Black dude.”
When I read stuff like this, it does make me think that CW2 is a real possibility.

This is a hate crime and political intimidation. But
Crime, especially VIOLENT CRIME, is as inseparable from the Black psyche as their darker skin tone is from their race. But don’t just take MY word for it. Look at all the crimes African people commit in Europe. In the Caribbean countries. Then there’s the endless mess in Africa. So what does that overwhelming evidence really suggest?
It’s sad to say but this is the best thing that can happen to a young white person. They really need to have a confrontation that scares the heck out of them without getting seriously hurt.
Annie Grosssman may not be a racist but she has had her first lesson in reality. This little lesson may be worth more than many of the classes she is taking in college because this is real world experience. You can’t learn this stuff from a book.
She may not think so but she will remember this encounter for the rest of her life. Most kids don’t realize that violence is for real and can get very serious at the right place and time.

Recently I’ve heard of two things reasonably ugly , One is a female student in Syracuse NY was in trouble for using pepper spray on a black male assailent ( I don’t know the story, could’nt retrieve it) Two is a young woman I know that teaches in up state NY was mandated to attend a seminar on racism that insisted that if your white and born in the USA YOU ARE A RACIST no buts about it, she told me she simmered for 8 hours through this mandatory Re-Education Camp!

Absolutely. But, there’s an important point here that should not be missed.

If this happened in a dormitory building, then the four blacks are presumably students there. They probably live in the dormitory too. And so, it’s quite likely she’ll see them again — maybe frequently — and it should not be difficult to identify them.
This is so typical. For many decades, American blacks wore the garb of harmless, helpless “victims”, patiently suffering, always abused by white racists and victimized by white society as a whole. Perpetual victims. Now, gaining in numbers and power, and smelling the whiff of victory in the air, they are turning into the abusive tyrants that they always are when able to be so. There will doubtless be many more incidents like this.

Now, “liberal” means an intolerant, narrow-minded, anti-liberal, doctrinaire fanatic;

A Classical Liberal was once considered: “open-minded, generous, tolerant, free from prejudice or bigotry, receptive to other opinions, favorable to concepts of maximum individual freedom, favorable to individual political freedoms, one who is tolerant of his opponent’s opinions.”
On the other hand, a Conservative is (to quote Ambrose Bierce’s “Devil’s Dictionary) “One who is enamored of existing evils, as distinguished from the Liberal, who wishes to replace them with new ones.”
