Now that the race is over, the least interesting thing about the president-elect, Barack Obama, may seem to be his skin colour. The same is true of Lewis Hamilton, Tiger Woods and even Boris Johnson. What really counts for us (and for them) now will be Iraq policy, how to sneak past a competitor or sink a hole in one, or how to make the transition from buffoon to statesman.
Even so, each of these multiracial heroes illustrates a deeper and longer-lasting truth about ourselves—that men (and women) are on the move, and are having lots of sex on the way. Kenya and Kansas; Grenada and Great Britain; English royals and Turkish politicians—Obama, Hamilton and Johnson all emerge from liaisons unthinkable until recently. In Tiger Woods’s term, the world is becoming Cablin-asian (a word he invented to describe his Caucasian, black, American Indian and Asian ancestry).
History has always been made in bed, but the beds are closer together. As a result, the human race is in the midst of a great averaging; and the future, more than likely, is brown.
Almost everywhere, the biological frontiers are becoming porous. An era of uniformity is at hand as hordes of people move in search of work or sunshine and, in the end, sex. In Britain, the proportion of the population born abroad has doubled in the past 50 years and is now 10%.
Intermarriage has been around for a long time. There have been Africans in Britain since the Romans, and by the 18th century these islands held 10,000 black people. Since then, the proportion of Britons who claim recent full or partial descent from Africa has gone up by 20 times and continues to climb. In 1991 more than 10% of citizens in one electoral ward in 10 were from an ethnic minority. Ten years later the figure was one in eight; and by 2011 the figure will rise to one in five.
All geneticists are firm believers in the healing power of lust; in the ability of desire to overcome social and geographic barriers. In 2001 about one British marriage in 50—a quarter of a million in total, with many more couples cohabiting—was between partners from different ethnic groups. Hundreds of thousands of children have one parent from Britain and one from the Caribbean, and almost as many are the progeny of white and Asian parents. Such relationships are not, as often believed, to be found just among the poor, for more than half of these couples live in the suburbs and are richer and more educated than average.
So, assimilation is well under way in modern Britain, which is among the most sexually open nations in the world. Today, mate choice is made as much by level of education as by skin colour. Many other countries too, whether they like it or not, have opened up their gene pools.
For years, hurdles in the mind kept genes at home, as did the simple difficulties of travel. Some clues to the reason for the shift in our habits are obvious. How far was your birthplace from that of your partner, and how far apart were your mother and father, and your grandmothers and grandfathers, born? In almost every case, the distance has increased over the generations and continues to do so (my wife and I first saw the light 3,000 miles apart; my mother and father, about three).
The world’s sedentary habits are manifest in its surnames—each one a window into sexual history—as much as its genes. Until not long ago, a pedigree of names fitted well with national boundaries. The Camerons were more or less confined to Scotland, and the Obamas to Kenya. Now names are on the move. In 1881 the Joneses were more or less confined to Wales, where in some villages they formed a majority. By 1998 my family had smeared itself across the Welsh borders, to northwest England and as far south as London.
No longer must a Jones marry a relative—as so many once did—for lack of choice. Instead they now come into contact with a diverse set of potential partners. The proportion of shared names in the marriage records of a typical English village has gone down by about 2% a year since the mid1970s.
One chromosome—the Y, carried by men alone—is transmitted in much the same way as surnames are: from father to son and to grandson. The Y also gives some hints about sexual habits of the past. In the United States about a fifth of all the genes in the African-American community are of European origin. But in that community almost a third of the genes on the Y chromosome originate from Europe: proof that there were many more cases of white men having sex with black women (often, no doubt, without the consent of the female involved) than the other way round.
Famously, President Thomas Jefferson had several children with his black slave Sally Hemings—and the evidence lies in the male chromosome of their descendants. That pattern of powerful men taking advantage of their position is also obvious across the whole of South America, with its enormously mixed populations, where once again many more genes were brought by European males than by European females.
In Britain the story is rather different. Many white Britons can trace a black ancestor from the small African population that lived in England several centuries ago. About half the men of a certain Yorkshire kindred, with the surname Revis, share a Y-chromosome type otherwise found only in west Africa. In the modern world too that pattern persists. British Afro-Caribbean males are half again as likely to marry a white female than are black women to find a white husband (while for Chinese people in a mixed-group marriage, those preferences are reversed).
Such long-distance matings are new. Most Sunday Times readers will see on their way to work tomorrow more people than the average member of the human species would until recently have seen in a lifetime. For 99% of our past, we were hunters and gatherers—rare and not particularly successful primates that gathered berries, hunted wild animals and flirted with extinction. At the DNA level we are far less different, one from another, than are chimpanzees—a strong hint that for most of history we lived in tiny, isolated groups, married the boy—or girl—next door and lost diversity as a result. If the few hunter-gatherer tribes still left a few decades ago were any guide, any attempt to join another group, let alone exchange genes with it, was likely to be met by death.
The great social change began—as most do—with economics; with the explosion in numbers that started as a result of farming. As the population boomed, people began to move, and biology soon reared its inevitable head, with the results we can see around us.
Obama has talked at length about the economy, about Main Street versus Wall Street and those with power versus those without. As politicians always do, he promises his country a better future—and he may succeed. To biologists, though, he is living proof that the future is almost here: a future that will look more or less like him.

Not going to happen. Brazil has been like this for 400 years and they still have whites, blacks, and people in between. There will always be races, but the borders between them are getting shadier.
On Thomas Jefferson: The only thing that the DNA proved was that a male Jefferson relatively contemporary to Thomas fathered children with the Jeffersons’ black slaves. It does not prove that TJ did.

And how is this indicative of the “diversity” that the libs love so much? If we’re all destined to look like Tiger and Barack, how can there possibly be any “hybrid vigor” that they seem to tout?

This writer is a complete idiot. While I agree with him that interracial relationships are on the rise, I think that people like this writer, and even people on our side over state the situation. People of differenct races are unquestionably more open to interracial dating than they were just 50 years ago, but dating is pretty much where it ends. People of opposite races are having sex with each other at a much higher rate than before, but very few of these produce children, and an even samller number lead to marriage, and those that do have the highest rate of divorce in the world.
The majority of people are not open to interracial dating, even though most claim that they are. It’s not different than when people say that they think integration is a good thing, and then live in a totally segregated neighborhood. People agree with the concept, but they don’t practice it in reality. Many people notice that there are more and more interracial couples everywhere, but there’s a reason why you still notice it. You notice interracial couples because they’re the exception, not the rule. Everyday we pass by homogenous couples without thinking twice, but when an interracial couple walks by, we notice it and we don’t forget it.
Most people choose mates of the same race without giving it much thought. It’s natural to want your partner to be part of the same community as you, and it’s natural to want your children to be part of that community. In todays culture, the family is under attack. Traditional views of sex and culture are changing. Very fiew people wait until they’re married to sleep together anymore. Sex is seen as a recreation, and subsequently more and more people are doing it with more and more people. This is where most interracial relationships occur. On a purely physical/experimental level. People who have sex with or even date people of other races are usually doing it as an experiment, knowing that it will never translate in to anything more.
People who do marry people of other races are usually of the same basic groups. (1) Men who have trouble finding women in there surrounding areas marry women from third world countries, and conversely the women who marry them. (2) Women who have never really felt like part of their community, or who aren’t really atrractive date men of other races who have lower standards. (3) College kids experimenting with sexual taboos the same way they do with drugs and alcohol. (4) Gold digging women who marry athletes.
There is a saying that all of you have probably heard. “Once you go black, you never go back”. That needs to be revised. It’s more like, “once you go black, you can’t go back”. White people who date blacks become “Black Listed”, (pun intended). Very fiew White People would marry someone who dated Blacks. That’s a simple fact, and almost all of us know it. The people who go into interracial relationships are usually bucking the system. They’re rebelling. That’s all it really is.
Interracil dating is a byproduct of a “Culture of Excess”. Because of the higly individualistic lifestyles that are economy has allowed, even forced us take, people don’t look at family and relationships the same way they used to. Families and marriages are falling apart. Divorces are so high because people are entering into relationships that would never have even been considered 50 years ago, and they’re finding it easier and easier to leave them. Some people will go into interracial marriages, that is a simple fact. Most people wont. Society has taken down most of the barriers to racial separation, and made interracial relationships easier, but the majority of people still choose to marry and and have children within their own race. Jewish people are a great example of what happens with interracial relationships. When the Jews were first sent to Europe, the undoubtebly looked like Arabs. Two thousand years of interbreedin with Europeans have made most of them White, but they still remained a separate group through it all, with certain distinguishing features. This differnce was so big that two thousand years later, there’s still friction between them and other groups. The Holocaust happened less then a hundred years ago. I wonder if this writer has thought about that. Some people will go into interracial relationships, but most wont. This culture is inherently unstable. When America falls, and i will, the people who have mixed will find themselves in a very bad predicament. They wont be welcome anywhere. Obama isn’t the new face of the world, he is the side effect of a constantly changing world.

Jefferson had, at most , one child with Hemings, and that child was probably fathered by some other male Jefferson. Jefferson paternity for the other Hemings children was disproved by genetic testing.

The two things that annoy me about people like Steve Jones are:
1) They describe those interracial trends as if they are an immutable fact of nature while, as a matter of fact, they have been forced upon us by like-minded politicians through their aggressive immigration policies and forced integration policies.
2) The mingling of which he speaks is happening almost exclusively in white lands. What he calls “uniformity” is actually the targeted elimination of the white races. Black African races will remain intact as will most Asian races. Since most all places where blacks are the majority tend to be inhospitable to whites, full of disease and have a low standard of living, whites do not flock there. The native black population remains, more or less, pure. So those migrating hordes are all going in the same direction: to white lands. They are mostly young males and they end up breeding with the local white females. Migration in search of sun - as he puts it - is mostly among older, affluent whites who go to places where brown people live. When was the last time you heard of a white person moving to Africa for the sun? It rarely happens and, when it does, such a person is more likely to get malaria or HIV than sunshine. So all this “we are all the same, having sex with each other and randomly mixing our genes, kumbaya” is, in reality just an orchestrated plot to exterminate the white races and and to replace them with blacks and Asians.
This article talks about a trend that will only get trendier in the future, however everyone should rest assured that it is a bit exaggerated. The only way that everyone in the future would look ‘brown’ would be from complete random mating. But obviously that’s not the case. There will always be white people who will only marry other white people…just like there are East Asians who will only get with other East Asians etc. Whites may be an even smaller minority in the future but they will not become ‘extinct’ as some people believe.
I’m not sure why the author discusses male genetic inheritance. In any case, the most prolific man in history was also the greatest conqueror of all time - Genghis Khan. Today, there are 16 million Asian men who carry his Y-Chromosome.

This is absolutely true. Let’s assume that as much as 50% of Whites end up in interracial marriages, which is an extremely liberal estimate. That still leaves 50% who never will. This could be a really good thing for the White Race. Most people instinctively choose members of their own race to partner with. It’s a genetic drive that has been the subject of many articles on this site and others. The White People who would interbreed are no asset to our race. I think it would be in our best interest to get them out of our gene pool. In a society where all the barriers to interbreeding have been removed, the people who still choose to marry and breed within their own race are clearly the strongest. This scenario would force the remaining Whites who refuse to interbreed to band together. In the end, our race would emerge much stronger than we are now. We might loose large portions of our population, but we don’t need them anyway. These race traitors are just weighing us down. This is still an unlikely scenario.
As I already said in another post I wrote about this article, I don’t think interbreeding will ever be as big of a problem as some people believe. Put it this way. America at most has 50-100 years left to assimilate before it collapses, probably even less. Even if you assume that complete integration is possible, that doesn’t meen that it’s probable. There are still too many people resistant to race-mixing for it to have a significant impact before time is up. Liberals are an amazing group. They believe in Global Warming, as I do, but they don’t see the logical implications. Scientists say that Climate Change is going to drastically change this planet within the next century. Al Gore’s movie talks about how nations will be fighting over food and water. This indicates a major social break-down world wide. Do they really believe that racial-harmony is possible under these circumstances? America will collapse long before complete amalgamation can occur.
So much is achieved through social pressure. If it is considered very shameful to commit a crime, as in Japan, a country will have a low crime rate.
If the powers that be who hate white people so choose, they could start a MSM brainwashing campaign that being mixed is so much more prestigious and attractive and modern than being a 100% white person. If this happens, white lemmings will go with the flow and choose non-white partners so that their children will fit in with the spirit of the times.
I’m not a creationist; broadly speaking (and to the extent that I, as a non-scientist, understand the issues) I accept the neo-Darwinian synthesis as the currently best-available explanation of the development of life on earth.
That said, it’s worth pointing out that there has been a strong tendency to political leftism among scientists who work in the area of evolution and genetics. J. B. S. Haldane was a Communist, as was his disciple, John Maynard Smith. Stephen Jay Gould and Richard Dawkins, although they publicly quarrelled, were both on the left of the political spectrum. Richard Lewontin is a member of the “against biological determinism/not in our genes” school of left-wing geneticists, and Steve Jones, author of the above article, is also left-wing in his political and social sympathies.
The above article, therefore, represents not so much a cool, detached appraisal of scientific inevitabilities; it is, rather, a ethno-politico-socio-cultural programme dressed up in the language of (popularised) science.

Biologists are scientists who do not take one minority example as “proof” of anything.
This is such a well written piece of absolute propaganda. I particularly note his claims of “Blacks in Britain since the time of the Romans.” Yes, perhaps a few slaves. But British Islanders were and have up to recently been well known for their fierce territorial nature and xenophobia, a xenophobia that fed taboos about miscegenation. 10,000 Blacks by 1800 - yes, as slaves. When Britain freed the slaves they shipped them off to the Carribean, they did not play it the same way. How many freed English slaves have you heard promised 40 acres and a mule?
Steven Jones writes that about one fifth of African American genetics are European and then makes the brilliant and popular stereotypical deduction that many Black female slaves were raped in order to bring that about. Knowledge of colonial and early American history refutes this idea completely. The fact is that freed White slaves and freed Black slaves congregated in Maryland and produced a great many offspring. At least enough to concern the colonial government as to its affect on society as a whole. So laws were past that punished miscegenation. Five generations back with one White male parent produces about one fifth European genes. For further argument, this isolated period is reinforced since the intermarriage or at least cohabitated breeding ended and that is why the presence of European genetics is not higher. It is well known to any who care to dig into the social history of the Antebellum South that cruelty to slaves, and particularly rape of female slaves was taboo, and for good reasons. It was well understood that poor treatment would eventually cause revolts and the highly religious and class structure of the South made anyone a pariah if they were seen to be fraternizing with their or any one else’s slaves. One does not have to dig too far to find this history. It has simply been surpressed by revisionists. But its popular absense allows young liberal journalists like Jonsie here to come to erroneous conclusions.

This colony was a slave compound and the “many Enlish” wording is a huge exaggeration. Yorkshire is a well known region settled by Vikings who mixed with the local Celtic populations. So half the men of the surname Revis have some genetics of African origin. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill!
Regardless of Jonsie’s predictions, most people are most comfortable around their own kind. And all those Jonese marrying relatives is not a cause for concern. Geneticists have also shown that marrying a fourth or fifth cousin turns out to be the most healthy genetic management. And this going on for thousands of years has produced all the races and given us local physical distinctions that have produced the most stunning phenotypes of great beauty as well as health.
In order to carry out the Marxist world takeover, race and the notion of race must be destroyed. This writer is simply a propagandist attempting to sew dispair and encourage an international orgie.
But he misses the world population crisis. As the world browned the collective IQ would drop steeply. They bring up South America in this article as being heavily mixed. Now because of that have they invented anything done anything of importance? The answer is no. Look to what North America has achieved and south and central america has not. North kept it white(until now) and the south became a mixed mess.

I definitely see the “Oliving” of the Northern White version of ‘whiteness’
Whites began when a few individuals walked out of Africa about 35,000 years ago and started mutating and adapting to the new environment of Europe. Now, many Whites are being metaphorically pulled back to Africa in a soft genocide. Natural selection is taking place and it may be that all future Whites will be descended from just a few Whites now alive. My guess is that they’ll be stronger, smarter and better than the Whites who are now going black, but there are many twists and turns as future history unfolds.
Isn’t Jones’ argument completely ignorant of Dr. Rushton’s teachings, though? Remember, it’s the cold climates and lack of sun that raises our IQ, lowers self-esteem and “whitens” our skin (“calms us down”, if you like).
Yes, this evolution happens over thousands of years (if we still survive that long) but even if major miscegenation takes place in the north, the cold climates will still dictate the survival and metamorphasize the browns in some way.

Racial lines may become more and more blurred but that will never change the fact that a society based upon competition will still sort (with a few exceptions) all of us out by intelligence.

There is in fact no mystery about the fate of those Georgian blacks for, as Jones does not tell us, most were deported to Sierra Leone.

It absolutely sickens me how many blacks insist the entire world just can’t wait to “mix with them” these days. Or how many of them claim black traits are desired and prized by other races. Terms like Blasian or Blactino might seem catchy or clever to them, but I find them repulsive.
