A federal judge in Brooklyn ruled on Monday that the United States government could not use ethnicity as justification for detaining two Egyptian-born men who were questioned for four hours after a cross-country flight in 2004.

The government [had] said that the men’s ethnicity was a factor in deciding to detain them, and argued that it was an acceptable factor.

It if walks like a terrorist, talks like a terrorist and kills like a terrorist, it’s a terrorist. Except of course in an American courtroom, where blind justice trumps even common sense. I can’t imagine anywhere in the world I would rather be as a terrorist on trial than in an American court room.

Normally, I can be something of a “windbag” or “wordsmith,” depending on how you view my positions. However, sometimes it is best to simply acknowledge, that someone has made for all times sake, the best case in rejecting that which you or I find abhorrent.
Here we have one of those times; so please, enjoy this YouTube link below:

What standards can we use for law in this life?
If we use Islam’s standards, adhering to sharia law, we’ll have no life! It’s already too much about their way of life.

In the absence of any other factor(s) (and perhaps there were other factors), the detention of any person because of ethnicity or race is outrageous. It is reasonable to use ethnicity, however, regardless of current politically correct custom, to single individuals out for scrutiny and questioning. Detention is another matter altogether, unless simple observation and interrogation gives authorities reasonable grounds for suspicion.

I agree with this. The government needs to have probable cause and the color of your skin is not enough.
