Dallas County Meeting Turns Racial

More news stories on Bizarre Racism Charges

Kevin Krause, Dallas News, July 8, 2008

{snip}

County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.

Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections “has become a black hole” because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole.”

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term. A black hole, according to Webster’s, is perhaps “the invisible remains of a collapsed star, with an intense gravitational field from which neither light nor matter can escape.”

How does someone who does not grasp a very basic bit of common knowledge like this gain a title of “commissioner”?

Posted by Fall Of The Tyrants at 5:40 PM on July 9

Maybe next time I hear a businessperson say his company is “in the black”, I’ll correct him, “you mean, ‘in the white’!”

More and more the world is being run by morons who exploit their own ignorance to expand the horizons of what can be considered offensive to black people.

Just wait until blacks discover that “black body radiation” is another physics term that has been used for many years. It has nothing to do with race and is not at all pejorative.

Posted by dchamil at 5:45 PM on July 9

And while we’re at it, I don’t want to hear anything more about white lies, white elephant gifts, or whitewashing the truth. All blatantly offensive.

Slavery. True Slavery. What else can you call it, when one ethnic group can not even express itself without the risk of a “loud Excuse me!” from the other group. As others have stated, if I can come under legal scrutiny or be sent to prison for accidently insulting another group without even meaning to, then I demand the right to live and interact with only members of my own kind. That isn`t racism. It`s merely self-protection.

For blacks, the word “black” is always *about them.* It doesn’t matter that the word is often used to describe things that have nothing to do with race, such as a color or a scientific concept. That’s especially true when the concept is a complex, scientific one. They don’t or can’t understand it — even if they are a judge or lawyer — and, in a paranoid knee-jerk reaction, they just assume the reference to “black” has to be something racial and derogatory.

Posted by Kevin at 6:15 PM on July 9

Good god, how stupid can these people actually be. I imagine the “judge” and commissioner probably heard “black ho”, after looking around and being dissapointed in not seeing one, demanded an apology from that white racist.

Posted by Eric at 6:19 PM on July 9

Similarly, some black radicals want to get rid of the word “blackmail.” In fact, there was one black woman talk radio hostess on St. Louis radio (Lizz Brown, if the name means anything to you), who referred to the concept as “whitemale.” (Even spelled it that way)

The real black hole in America is black crime.
Supporting black crime is the lack of respect for learning that is a major reason so many blacks do poorly in schools and life.

“That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.”

This guy is a judge! This is both funny and sad.

“Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term.”

Good luck with that Mr Mayfield…

Posted by at 7:10 PM on July 9

So how long will it take for Mayfield to grovel, lick boot, and resign for using a non-racial scientific analogy? Tick tick tick…

At one time, the French resisted the use of the term “black hole” because in French “black hole” is profane slang for a certain excretory bodily orifice (I think you can guess which one.)

At least they had a good reason.

Posted by qwerty at 7:26 PM on July 9

This is like a scene ouf of a D.W. Griffith movie.

Way back when, I thought the slogan, “a mind is a terrible thing to waste” referred to blacks denied the opportunity to go to college - now I realize it refers to the ones who have gone to college. And by the way, I think any college-educated white dwarfs would have picked up a minimal bit of astronomy along the way - and simply would not have reacted in such a childishly ignorant way.

Traffic tickets and collections are generally a government department wholly run by blacks. In every city, the traffic police who issue the tickets are black. A

And the government workers who process the tickets and collections are the standard government employee, a black female, a loud, obnoxious, aggressive creature who must dominate others, a gossipper and intriguer who actually does about an hour of work a day in between personal phone calls, dealing with the school and juvenile court problems of her feral thug children, eating, and arguing and fighting with fellow employees.

I know all about the black women who collect traffic fines. I have worked with them for 40 years. When I retire I hope to never hear the voice of a black woman for the rest of my life.

everyone knows it is a sin to tell the truth…..now a days anyhow…but hey….I will keep on telling the truth cause I know the liberals hate it with a passion!!

Some months back, there was a parody of a newspaper story that reported that a black physicist was protesting the use of the term ‘black’ hole.

This has become the tenor of public discourse everywhere that whites must suffer to co-exist with blacks.

Intolerance makes new inroads wherever ultra-sensative, small-minded, shortsighted blacks are vested with a little petty authority.

Their mobocratic “attitude” both reflects and fuels the hate behind the crimes being perpetrated against us by a resentful black “underclass.”

How did we ever come to sharing governance with these cultural aliens and eternal adversaries?

Segregation may have seemed impractical, but the present alternative is much worse than a mere inconvenience.

Posted by KonfederateKarl at 10:16 PM on July 9

Worse is better. Let them keep it up. They won’t realize how ignorant they really are until the white curtain comes down around them.

To hear them talk one would think they were the majority in control. I wonder if they realize that they could be annhilated if they were ever to provoke matters to the point of war?

I doubt that they do, and I’m basing my opinion on the fact that every riot they start is pursued as if they are at the point where they’re going to take on the entire white population.

Case in point: After the LA riots in ‘92 all over the country blacks were pulling whites from vehicles and beating them, as if the LA rioting was the starting gun for their war against whites and they had been waiting for just that moment and were prepared to march throughout America in victory.

Blacks probably base their dimwitted conclusions on the fact that white liberals and spineless politicians so readily capitulate to them they’re convinced they’re representaive of the vast majority of whites and are unaware there are literally millions of other whites who constitute an overwhelming force and would be delighted if they were pressed to defend themselves.

Black arrogance and overconfidence has caused them untold problems in this country so far. Getting more domineering and belligerant just might be the fatal mistake that will settle the matter once and for all.

I love how these city councils ALWAYS need a black on it. The DC government is another prime example of the utter ignorance that is presented as leadership among the black community.

Now, perhaps the collections department really is full of blacks and that is why it is not succeeding, but I suspect that the white councilman was using a figure of speech. The ignaramous that jumped on him for using that term should not be allowed to sit on the board of a dinner table, much less the city council.

Posted by O'Cinneide at 11:40 PM on July 9

I remember a black manager once gave me a hard time over using the word ‘blacklist’. He believed I was using a racist term, until I produced a dictionary and pointed out the entry to him. Very retarded.

Posted by gary at 12:11 AM on July 10

I know how John Wiley Price feels. The other day my accountant told me, “Good news, you’re in the black.” I fired him on the spot. I only want accountants that put me in the white.

At least he was fortunate enough not to refer to “Uranus”, which is sometimes misprounced as “Yer Anus” and is doubtless a more accurate way to describe his detractors….

Posted by STEELWOLVES at 12:23 AM on July 10

He should have said African-American hole.

Posted by Markthespot at 12:30 AM on July 10

The initial reaction of the black member of the Dallas County Commissioner, just provides more proof of blacks low average IQs. That response sounds like something a five year old would say. But then the “judge” who demanded an apology reinforces not only their low average IQ but how they occupy positions they are totally unqualified for. AmRen should start a daily feature called “White Southern Wisdom”. It would discuss a current news item such this meeting, which proves White Southern state governments were correct to limit who could vote. Remember ,giving women the right to vote required a constitutional amendment. But that was in the days before judges became power hungry dictators with no respect for our system of government.

Posted by Joe Hamilton at 12:32 AM on July 10

At least he didn’t say the collections office had them “caught in a noose”.

Posted by Jill at 12:36 AM on July 10

So John Wiley Price, race huckster, is still around. Too bad. I lived in Dallas for over 6 years and he and Diane Ragsdale were constantly mau-mauing the white politicians and policemen, including appearing at white policemen’s funerals and walking out in the middle, thereby disrupting the funeral.
They make Al Sharpton look like an amateur.

Is he offended by the Dakota hills? The shopping day after Thanksgiving? The day in 1929 when the stockmarket crashed? What color is that comon ground pepper? Was the 1348 plague really White? This guy has his work cut out for him, and he’s a moron.

What a ‘black hole’ is and its use to describe a place where things seem to disappear is common knowledge. I guess I can understand someone somewhere not knowing this. What surprises me is that, in a room full of people anywhere in this country, we can find two people who have not heard of a black hole.

Here in Atlanta during the 1996 Olympics we had the same situation. A resident of New Mexico called the Olympic Ticket Office in Atlanta inquiring about tickets. He was told he would have to go through his consulate. The man tried to explain that New Mexico was not a foreign country and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor came to the phone and told him the same thing! I have no idea what color these folks were. Wait a minute. Yes I do.

I find these things to be unbelievable. Nevertheless, they are true.

To those of us living in Dallas County this is not at all surprising. John Wiley Price’s antics have been a source of local comedy for the last couple of decades.

Posted by B.C.S. at 8:26 AM on July 10

When I read that it was John Wiley Price, I understood. Years ago he used to lead marches in Dallas, or at least a line of people who would block intersections on downtown streets, by instructing his followers to walk in line very slowly across the street, thereby causing all sorts of traffic problems. Long ago moved from the area, but not surprised to see he’s still up to his old tricks.

Posted by June at 10:04 AM on July 10

John Wiley Price and Thomas Jones should be required to undergo INSENSITIVITY training. To lose their feigned sensitivity to racially suggestive terms. And to get an understanding that certain nouns or verbs do not necessarily have racial or anti-Black meaning.

We ARE talking about Black adults here, right?

Reading KonfderateKarl’s well-written comment, an image sprang to mind: an offended black pointing out: “That white man uses racist speech! All those big words and long sentences are racist code. The message is that whites are smarter than blacks, who don’t speak that way. “

How long until a refusal to speak “ebonics” becomes a legally punishable offense, and the skillful use of refined English a form of hate-speech?

Also, I’d like to put a bit of counter-point to one part of Ranger’s comment: “After the LA riots in ‘92 all over the country blacks were pulling whites from vehicles and beating them, as if the LA rioting was the starting gun for their war against whites and they had been waiting for just that moment and were prepared to march throughout America in victory.”

My friend, they didn’t wait until ‘92 to start.

I do believe you have a valid point there, though. A very important one, in fact- which is demonstrated every time blacks rally at every opportunity to attack whites at any & every level, under any pretense, no matter how unjustified, unjustifiable, illogical, and/or asinine (such as the case in this article).

They consistently prove to anybody paying attention (but most significantly to other blacks) two very important things: that they will rally to support one another, no matter what, and that it’s “game on” against whitey.

The race card mongers will get their just desserts. They can do this kind of stuff in US city and local government, but it won’t do them any good in the global economy. Indian, Chinese, and South American companies are under no obligation to hire, fire, nor reprimand based on American identity (race) politics. The management of those companies will laugh in the face of clowns like Wiley Price.

Welcome to the real world, American blacks!!! Say goodbye to your gravy train.

I had a black substitute teacher in my 7th grade history class, who was supposed to pick up on our studies on the Bubonic Plague that swept over Europe. After reading through part of it, when he came to the words Black Plague, he looked at our mostly white class, and said with a straight face You know it is racist how they called it the Black Plague? This was a disease that killed white people and should be called the White Plague! Even at 12 and 13, most of us stared at him as though he was crazy. We had already covered the section of how it originated in China, and was named after the black sores that appeared on the body. And even then, I wondered how he managed to earn his college degree for teaching.

Just about anyone can get an education degree. The education department is the intellectual ghetto of most universities and education majors are not noted for their intelligence. This is one of Walter Williams’s hobby horses.

“Just about anyone can get an education degree. The education department is the intellectual ghetto of most universities and education majors are not noted for their intelligence. This is one of Walter Williams’s hobby horses.”

This worries me because I am a history major planning to at least try to teach. I really want to be like my 7th grade history teacher, who didn’t shy away from teaching religion and racial history. I probably won’t be employed very long in our Cowardly New World, but I still want to try. I realized that most history buffs are inspired by a good teacher or a parent. I could be that inspiration to find out more about history-of course until it becomes a crime to have a history book not approved by the totalitarian government.

“For blacks, the word “black” is always *about them.*”

Exactly. Just like how Afrocentrists have an amusing tendency to point to any historical use of the word “black” or “wooly/curly” as evidence that Africans were the first Egyptians/Chinese/Aztecs/Thais/Mayans/Mongolians/Vikings/Indians/Anglo-Saxons/Hebrews, etc, etc. ad infinitum.

It scares me that our nation will capitulate to Blacks -who are either morons or literal idiots! What kind of a society is this? Liberalism, I’m coming to believe, is just an excuse to be stupid….
