Presidential candidate Barack Obama will travel to San Diego next month to join opponent John McCain in speaking at the annual convention of the National Council of La Raza, the nation’s largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization.
Both senators are expected to address immigration and other issues pertinent to Latino voters, NCLR President Janet Murguía said during a visit to San Diego promoting the convention. Obama’s plans were announced yesterday; McCain had agreed earlier to address the convention.
{snip}
Afterward, Murguía said she expects a historic turnout of Latino voters in November, many to counter what they see as anti-immigrant political rhetoric, but also drawn by issues such as the foreclosure crisis and health care.
On the immigration front, both senators have supported changes that immigrant advocates see as favorable. McCain once championed a temporary worker program but has since shied away from that stance.
“Senator McCain will be in an interesting position,” Murguía said yesterday, regarding his appearance at the convention. “I think people will be interested to see where he still is on immigration.”
{snip}
The convention will also feature a two-day “Latino Expo USA” with more than 250 exhibits, a health fair and a home ownership fair. Numerous workshops will be open to the public, including a naturalization clinic July 12 for legal residents wishing to become U.S. citizens, and a July 13 clinic that will offer pro bono legal and financial advice to families facing foreclosure.

Pardon me, but I have to go and throw up! These pandering lying shysters of politicians would make any DECENT human being sick. Obama expectedly would stoop that low. But I figured McCain would be above that type of low pandering.

This is a good thing in a way. After speaking at the Conference, McCain will watch his #s take an immediate nosedive. Everytime there is a grassroots uprising in direct response to the open borders movement, the pundits and the RINOs try to attribute it to something else. It will be a good lesson for McCain, and I’m sure future congressional candidates will take note as well.

National Council of La Raza gave award to racist professor (“eliminate the gringo”, Jose Angel Gutierrez)
The National Council of La Raza (“The Race”) is currently leading a campaign to drive “hate speech” (i.e., opposition to illegal immigration) from the airwaves.
Meanwhile, back in 1994, they gave their “Chicano Hero Award” to University of Texas at Arlington professor Jose Angel Gutierrez [1], who had made this comment in 1969, well before having received the award:
“We have got to eliminate the gringo, and what I mean by that is if the worst comes to the worst, we have got to kill him.”
The year after receiving the award, he said the following:
“We have an aging white America. They are not making babies. They are dying. The explosion is in our population . .. I love it…”

“Obama will join McCain at La Raza Convention”
Yet, millions of clueless Americans are going to vote for one or the other and get screwed. That’s the gist of it. You are going to get the shaft from either of these two corporate controled, one world government traitors. Don’t do it. Write in any candidate besides them. Millions of Americans are so utterly clueless and are going to pay the price down the not so long road.

In related news, our favorite poverty center is trying to promulgate the notion that “Raza” in “La Raza” doesn’t mean “race” like all those nasty right-wing anti-immigrant types say; instead, we’re told, “raza” means “the people” or “the community.” As if “people” and “community” mean something so much different than “race.”
Part of the SPLC “logic” is that La Raza is open to all Hispanics, regardless of race, as Hispanics can be Caucasian, black, Amerindian, or any combination thereof. However, I am not aware that La Raza has a big following among east coast Afro and mulatto Hispanics, AFAIK it’s mainly a Chicano/Mestizo racial, er people, er community lobby.

Yes SENATOR McCAIN, conservative anti-immigration voters who make up a large slice of your base will be interested to see if you still “get it” when you are pandering to La Raza. Most hispanics are not going to vote for a black anyway so you don’t have much to gain. If you keep up your traitorous “open borders” betrayal you will see many of us staying home or voting for third party candidates. So yes many many people in this country are very interested where you are on the issue.

John McCain and La Raza share a deep-seated contempt for grass-roots conservatives who worked successfully to defeat the disastrous amnesty bill. And they share a common impulse to marginalize their political opponents as “haters.”
Thus, La Raza has launched a new “We Can Stop the Hate” campaign–smack dab in the middle of the campaign season–to redefine tough policy criticism from the Right as “hate.” They protest that it is “racist” and out-of-bounds to talk about reconquista–even as the McCain campaign boasts a “Mexico First/”Just A Region”/”Free Flow of People”. La Raza has embraced John McCain and vice versa–has the gall to crusade against “hate.” La Raza head, Janet Murguia, is calling for networks to keep immigration enforcement proponents off the airwaves.
John McCain’s conspiracy with La Raza and his refusal to protect America against hostile invaders is the final straw. This, despite his positive views on war, taxes and judges. I refuse to have La Raza’s views crammed down my throat.

Leslie Berestein shows us once more the method of confusing immigration with illegal immigration. Of course, the National Council of The Race sees no difference between the two since Atzlan isn’t part of the USA.
Posted by factualist at 7:27 PM on June 11
I am sure that Obama and McCain will fall over each other in pandering to La Raza (for the race, everything; outside the race, nada), another anti-white racist organization. The good news is, no matter how much McCain grovels, he will not be elected in November. Why is this good news? Look at what happened during the Bush administration to congressional Republicans. They repeatedly caved in to pressure from their party’s man in the white house, something that they would not likely have done with a Democrat. So, we will have Obama in the white house just as the economy collapses with what will hopefully be a strong and united Republican opposition. The Republicans do not know how to rule(not since the late 80’s when they were easily transformed into neocons). Obama has no real program with the sole exception of more affirmative action and more government hand outs to his co-racialists. Such pandering does not constitute a general policy and he will quickly find that he is in far below his depth. It is not enough to simply smile and say “we can” over and over. His presidency will be a disaster and short lived.

Democracy like in the USSR……..you can vote but they are all the same
Posted by at 7:59 PM on June 11
Two points here.
First, regarding this:
“Obama’s plans were announced yesterday; McCain had agreed earlier to address the convention.”
Interesting that Comrade Obama is the Johnny-come-lately here. On the surface, given that Obama is apparently nursing quite a grudge against whites (the pages of his books and his “religious” associations, exhibit this,) one would expect him to have been first in line for this domestic terrorist extravaganza. After all, he seems Machiavellian enough to see that great damage could be done to “whitey” through this organization (it wishes to form a new “Chicano” country out of its Southwestern third, among other things) and thus, he should be there with bells on. But when sober second thoughts are given to this assumption on my part, Comrade Obama may be demonstrating just how much more savvy and duplicitous he is regarding the Hispanic plague.
If, by his way of thinking, “whitey” is a semi-paternalistic obstacle for black dominance in the USA, then perhaps he has the common sense to see that the little brownies are an outright predatory long term enemy?
If this is the case, he is leaps and bounds ahead of McCain in the brains’ department. Sure, he will make an appearance at this wretched hate rally, but it seems he is doing so with at least some moderate reluctance; unlike McCommie, who just jumped on the mariachi bandwagon with no hesitation at all.
Second, is this:
“Numerous workshops will be open to the public, including a naturalization clinic July 12 for legal residents wishing to become U.S. citizens, and a July 13 clinic that will offer pro bono legal and financial advice to families facing foreclosure.”
Interesting that they are calling these things “clinics,” since those are normally established to prevent the spreading of diseases, not encouraging their growth?
And the Hispanic invasion and any attempt to coddle them through these foreclosures (which they brought upon themselves, through their own greedy stupidity) cannot be seen as anything other than that. Overpopulation, financial strain, resource overextension, and sociopolitical tensions are all symptoms of the Hispanic contagion; thus, a “clinic” dedicated to fostering the symptoms is anything but a remedy to the problem.
Leave it to La Raza to even get a term like “clinic” wrong.
Something must have got lost in translation?
As always, God help us all!

The candidates will vie to see who can present himself as the more flagitious traitor to the American people.
Posted by Shrewsbury at 8:27 PM on June 11
A third quick point I would liker to make related to this article, is the fact that the “mainstream” media have really operated with an almost satanic astuteness in this affirmative election. They managed to pull a Lazarus act with McCommie, following his implosion in the Summer of 2007 with his arrogant pro-amnesty proclamations during the early Republican primary skirmishes and maneuvers. Mitt Romney’s marginalization as being of questionable religious affiliations and too much privileged assets (from his bank account to his looks,) make what they did to Pat Buchanan in 1996 look like child’s play.
This would be because Bob Dole, for all of his faults, still had an adult and even sympathetically grandfatherly persona, that McCommie cannot even hope to match. Bob Dole, when compared to General Secretary Clinton, did look like an elder statesman fighting a perpetual adolescent; however, McCommie looks like an embittered and aged eternal adolescent, fighting with a callow but precocious adolescent, that aspires to an “inspired” adulthood.
This might not be the underlying truth of the situation, but it is how they are portraying and finessing, the iconography of it all; along with of course, audaciously hopeful doses of multicultural idolatry.
Again and as always, God help us all!

Posted by Hank at 9:33 PM on June 11
Staged election, that’s what it is.
The behind the scenes animators carefully chose who will run against Obama - a loser that on several issues doesn’t look much better than Obama. I have no doubt that Obama would lose to most of Republican contenders, for instance, to Romney of even Gulliani, but may easily win with McCain. The stage directors of this elections knew about it, so they set it that way. And once it became clear to them that Obama looks like a winner when compared to McCain, they killed Hillary Clinton’s run (not that she would be any better president than Obama).
Anyone still thinks of this sorry manipulation as an expression of the will of We the People?
Posted by A Reader at 10:16 PM on June 11
Folks, I’ve posed this question before and will do it again.A blind faith in multiculturalism, diversity and such is along the same lines of illogic thought as many a white men share on this site as it concerns their Christianity.Libs, regardless of the in your face evidence that directly contradicts their social thinking, will always blindly believe in or ‘have faith’ if you will that multiculturalism can work. There is no tangible evidence that supports this belief, but the belief persists. We all know that Blacks and Hispanics cultures bring with them violence, poverty, laziness and victim hood, and so reject the effort to force multiculturalism down our throats. We all think logically alike on this fact, thank goodness. However, it amazes me how close to the pro-multiculturalism minds Christians share as it relates to their faith in their religion.I think it’s a fair comparison, and find religious minds to suffer from the same disease as liberals. It’s just a different fixation that drives the two, but the dismissal of contradictory concrete evidence(in the case of Christianity a lack thereof)is the same.To sum this up, religous members of this board should be more understanding of the liberal mind than their agnostic/atheist counterparts.I would love to hear a response to this. Thanks!

For the Republicans to nominate McCain was idiotic. He is too old, too handicapted and thinks and votes like a Democrat. Hunter, Romney, Paul and Tancredo would have been much better choices, and I think Hunter would have been the most electable. Now we have the worst choices in history and if Obama is elected, which seems increasingly likely, with a likely Democrat congress our country will go to hell in high gear. Of course it has gone to hell under Bush anyway, but it could still get worse, and will if Obama is elected. The late great America.
Posted by Vlad The Emailer at 11:40 PM on June 11
The only hope that I can see is if McCain chooses true conservative Romney as his running-mate. If he has the sense to do so, then he should be able to win the Republican base. The most disastrous thing to happen would be for Republicans to write in another candidate’s name in protest, or vote for Ralph Nader, Ron Paul, Bob Barr, etc. Those “protest” votes would mean handing the election to BHO.
“The party for White America is largely over. What a disgraceful situation…” wrote Hank. I concur completely that this is a terribly disgraceful situation and I keep praying, hoping, wishing, and visualizing God’s intervention in our behalf, as a race and as the creators of the most majestic nation in history. I hope He intercedes soon.

Man, I just do not see how Obama is getting a pass from his Black supporters, given what is going on between Blacks and Mexicans in LA. I mean, it’s flat out ethnic cleansing.
It is the equivalent of us watching McCain or any White candidate pander to all other non-White groups. Worse, given what’s at stake for them.
Anyone out there in AR land have any insight into that?
Oh, and in Argentina, the expression for “pander” is,
Chupa medias.
Chupa = suck. Medias = socks.
It means to suck the sweat from someones dirty socks. Meaning, you’d do just about ANYTHING to win their favor. Not a terribly poetic phrase, but it makes the point. And that is surely what these two are doing.

I made my comment on so many Americans being clueless about— illegal immigration, McCain and Obama, early on. But after reading the above comments, it is amazing how well informed, and knowledgable AmRen readers are on these topics. They are totally aware of the issues. If this forum was read by millions of Americans, things would change for the better, simply because of the valuable insights that so many AmRen posters, and especially the Editor have. It is a gross understatment to call AmRen just a forum for white racial issues, as some of the web links do.

If voting solved anything, it would probably be illegal. I decided not to vote for McCain when he first announced he would attend the La Raza conference. I didn’t vote for Bush I back in 1992 after he signed that ececutive order banning the import of “assault” weapons, and I won’t vote for McCain. Nobody stabs me in the back and keeps my vote.

McCain has not asked for the White vote, so let him beg the parasites to carry him to victory. He sure doesn’t get this life-long (until 2004)republican’s vote!
La Raza ranks right up there with the ACLU for being anti-American. They are both two of the most dangerous organizations in the country. The ACLU is so powerful, that this nation panders to them as well as La Raza. I’m afraid Lou Dobbs let Janet Murguai talk him down recently. Their tactics include talking and not stopping for anyone else to get a word in. The illegals and their cheerleaders have staying power in this country. I guess that’s because they are so impotent in their own country. Looks like this nationalism would cause them to stay and fight, but they would rather leave their homes and turn America into a rotting, violent and corrupt nation such as the one they left. Good luck to McCain. He’s going to need it when the phones start ringing as they did last summer for his amnesty bill. He can’t seem to learn - let’s try to teach him again.

Let’s face it. This country will get the leadership it deserves. The voters didn’t warm up to Tom Tancredo, the one candidiate willing to stand up to the nonsense peddled by La Raza, LULAC, MALDEF and all the rest of that rotten bunch. They wanted McCain instead. And so, we the people will bear the consequences of our folly.

There is no political solution. The non-Whites already outnumber our people in the kindergartens, as they will outnumber us everywhere. We cannot outvote them, particularly when a Republican vote is a vote for unlimited foreign invasion. There is no political solution, unless we accept Clauswitz’s terminology.

It’s official. America is going the way of the dinosaur. Anyone believing this country will not suffer from a majority hispanic population, needs to have their head examined. It seems it is only a matter of when the borders are erased and we are over run by hispanics, not if. Well, if you are smart you will start considering where you want to flee since gringos will be expected to support the “New Americans” while being treated as second class citizens. Don’t underestimate the animosity towards us anglo passee Americans. Nor the greed of hispanic peasants who are marxists by nature. All of our leaders are pandering self serving morons.

June, excellent points. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, meaning it is the apathy of the average American citizen on not only illegal immigration issues, but on so many issues that we discuss on this forum— that is going to sink Americans in their own nation. The RAZA groups do have “staying power” as you say, and even get that power through Americans taxes. Yet the average American thinks nothing of it. Rush Limbaugh, Shawn Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and all the rest of the so called “conservative” mouthpieces are not going to save Americans from this invasion. They are woefully weak, as weak as a nineteenth century womens tea social in their enthusisam on the topic as it is.

Why Obama supports shamnasty is beyond me. Blacks have suffered the most from increased Hispanic immigration. From what I can see Hispanics have replaced blacks in many of the jobs that formerly acted as an bridge to the middle class. Obama is as much a political opportunist as anything.

As I’ve said, the corporations have selected the two worst possible candidates! Both of these open-border traitors will flood our country with even more Third World poverty all in the name of the coming North American Union with the “free flow of goods, services and people.” Of course, this would be wonderful for the International Corporations and our “elected” Globalist Elites, but it’d be an absolute nightmare for the American people.
We think our standard of living has dropped now… I’m afraid that it’ll only get much much worse with Obama or McCain!

Many finally recognize the obvious truths with candidates supporting a group called La Raza. Spanish anyone? The candidates make fools of themselves. V

Absolutely it is. The Main Stream Media, essentially froze out coverage of Congressmens Dr. Ron Paul, Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter. This had the effect of shifting votes to Mike Huckabee, and McCain. It was pretty much known that McCain had more support than Huckabee, thus McCains victory from what seemed essentially out of the blue. I remember him as almost being finished at one point. There was, in my opinion, clear media manipulation.

One thing we HAVE to be clear on.
Presidents today are window-dressing.
Figure heads.
They are as phoney in terms of power as the “Elections”. Barely one notch above the Queen of England.
They are phoney like a Puppet is phoney. Hey, there’s a good one, “Phoney the Puppet” coming to a White House near you. I can almost hear it now. The sound of that silly TV Announcer voice, “Join us when we bring you the madcap antics of a Race-baiting, Axe-murdering, couple from Chicago who just happen to be living in the Oval Office. It’ll be a night of seemingly endless corny one-liners and canned laughter. You’ll die if ya miss it. In fact, if you’re White, you’ll die anyway.”

Has there ever been a time in recent history when we have been faced with such awful presidential candidates? Both McCain and Obama (the former actually sees the influx of illegal aliens as a good thing and the latter will further empower arrogant blacks-or, if he loses, cause widespread rioting and worse), by even associating with anyone from La Raza are already proving they are traitors to our once great Nation.
This is truly the end. I know others say “stand and fight” but we have tried that already. Unfortunately our worst enemies are those of our own race, who cannot or will not see the horrors that will come.
Maybe we should break off and create a new, fledgling country and just sit back and watch the US implode. Right now, I can’t see any other workable solution. The disaffected native British are certainly welcome to join, as well as the terrorized white South Africans. Of course, I’m only dreaming, trying to counteract the nightmare that has become our once great nation.
