Hate Crimes Rise Against Hispanics and the Disabled

AR Articles on Hate Crimes and Hoaxes

Janell Ross, Tennessean (Nashville), May 10, 2008

Hate crimes against Hispanic and disabled victims rose dramatically in Tennessee last year, leaving advocates for both groups concerned about the trend.

A recent Tennessee Bureau of Investigation report shows hate crimes rose 28 percent overall between 2006 and 2007, but those against Hispanics more than doubled and those against the disabled grew from 1 to 30.

Those who study social conflict say stress over the economy is a contributing force, along with an increase in the Hispanic population and related anger about immigration.

Most of last year’s incidents were thefts, forgeries and burglaries victimizing mentally disabled persons. Donna DeStefano, assistant director of the Tennessee Disability Coalition, said the problem is likely economic, with criminals using one of society’s most vulnerable groups for money.

House, car are targets

Nationally, hate crimes against disabled victims rose incrementally, while hate crimes against Hispanics grew 20 percent, from 2002 and 2006, the most recent five-year period with data available.

Both incidents were declared hate crimes, criminal acts motivated by a victim’s race, ethnicity or national origin, religion, gender, sexuality or disability. In Tennessee and 32 other states, when prosecutors can prove that a form of bias played a motivating role in a crime, perpetrators face additional punishment for their crime.

For many people, the term “immigrant” or “illegal alien” has become synonymous with a Hispanic person, said Catalina Nieto, a spokeswoman for the Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Rights Coalition.

Nieto suspects that much of the hate crimes against Hispanic victims goes unreported because of immigrants’ concern about the consequences of contact with police.

Historically, hate crime has grown most intense in the United States during periods of economic distress and when the social order is in the process of being upset, said Steven Tepper, a Vanderbilt University sociologist who specializes in social conflict.

“…thefts, forgeries and burglaries…”

So ordinary crime is now hate crime if it happens to people of favored groups?

No advocates in Tennessee that I recall were ‘concerned’ when Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome were kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered by blacks. Now Hispanics, many of whom are themselves identity thieves, become forgery victims, and professional haters are ‘concerned.’ These advocates are the enemy of white people pure and simple.

Just the illegals in the USA (many are Hispanic) kill over 4,000 American citizens each year. In fact, it is like a Twin Tower attack each year by illegal foreign invaders. Now that is an American tragedy.

When a hispanic commits a hate crime, it is counted as being done by Whitey. When they are the victims of a hate crime, they are counted as hispanic. How can you trust such a twisted method of compiling statistics?

This sounds so silly it almost strikes me as a joke.

Most of last year’s incidents were thefts, forgeries and burglaries victimizing mentally disabled persons. Donna DeStefano, assistant director of the Tennessee Disability Coalition, said the problem is likely economic, with criminals using one of society’s most vulnerable groups for money.

The article certainly does not state who is committing these hate crimes against the disabled. A bunch of whites? I have a little trouble believing that.

The article would insinuate that we awful racist whites, the only group who can be racist of course, must be the ones victimizing the poor illegal aliens with “hate crimes”. What sort of hate crimes? Are these the hate crimes we xenophobic whites are committing against the poor illegal aliens: Most of last year’s incidents were thefts, forgeries and burglaries

I would say “are you kidding?” but I know these people are quite serious about demoralizing us and beating us down with artificial guilt.

>>> Naturalized Chinese’s loyalties lie with his people, not with his adopted country.

An UGLY LITTLE TRUISM that probably holds true for most of those H1B immigrants as well. Why, oh why, are our foul politicians so determined to DESTROY AMERICA by flooding our country with third world trash

Even the damned Hispanic illegal immigrants — while hardly ahving brains enough to spy, much less understanding the term — stil are loyal to Mexico rather than our country. Witness the stupid waving of Mexican flags, for example.

I presume we ARE EXPECTED to take this ‘news report’ seriously. Even though after reading the story twice, I could not find a single documented ‘hate crime’ described. (The only reference, a generalized one indicates crimes were against disabled people — which would certainly point the finger of suspicion against Blacks — who have often been guilty of these kind of crimes. Given their penchant for preying on the weak, disabled people would probably be their favorite prey, then!)

So why am I inclined to place this story in the same genre as those nooses (noosi?) and scrawled n-words spraypainted on doors, walls, which have the disconcerting habit of being found to be perpetrated by Blacks looking for sympathy or notoriety?

One might even get the idea, the Hispanic illegals are borrowing an idea from the Blacks in an effort to gain sympathy from Americans. Who undertstandably have had a belly full of illegal immigration, and the attendant crime, social problems and dollar cost they represent to us White Americans!

That Hispanic immigrants have a bad habit of stealing American jobs by working cheap and depressing wages, as well as crowding American Blacks out of the job market entirely would hardly have anything to do with ‘hate’ crimes, right? Some Blacks, I am happy to note ARE smart enough to grasp the idea now that Hispanics are hardly their brothas and friends.

SAVE OUR AMERICA! STOP THE OBAMINATION!

I can see that people are fed up with the illegals..but what they say about people being nasty to the mentally disabled or any one who is physically disabled….it is pretty hard to swallow….

“For many people, the term “immigrant” or “illegal alien” has become synonymous with a Hispanic person, said Catalina Nieto”

And why not? Did the massive rise in “Hispanics” in the Chicagoland area come from previously existing American citizens living in other parts of America MOVING to Chicago? Heck no.

They came from “Citizens of Mexico” crossing national boundaries to land in the sanctuary state of Illinois in the sanctuary county of Crook in the sanctuary city of Chicago.

I have said this to liberals and to other Whites on White Nationalist message boards. Where are all of these White men commiting hate crimes? Where are all of these “bad ass White boys” committing hate crimes and scaring minorities? Where are they? Most White men I see in Las Vegas are “bumping” rap music and walking hand-in-hand with their Asian girlfriend. Where are these tough White men? E-mail me. Maybe I can contact these evil “White Supremacists” and we can hold a rally or a protest.

So…. under what circumstances would a crime against a disabled person NOT be considered a hate crime?! Sorry, but every no-goodnik who sees one as an easy mark does not necessarily hate the victim.

Maybe I ought to be more indignant about the hispanics—who tend to see anyone who insists they comply with the rules of organized society as an anti-hispanic bigot—but the idea of disabled people abusing hate crimes legislation makes me even more angry this time.

“Historically, hate crime has grown most intense in the United States during periods of economic distress…”

Sure, because in good economic times, multicultural societies don’t typically reveal underlying tensions. But when the economy goes sour, watch out! That’s why homogenous societies work so well… in good times and bad, there can never be ethnic/racial tension because, of course, there is only one ethnicity/race.

The racist hate crimes against Latinos smack of xenophobia and must stop!

“Thefts, forgeries and burglaries” are now called hate crimes?

This is NewSpeak, the potent tool of the deranged and dishonest Left.

Posted by Reader-1 at 10:58 PM on May 14

” Most of last years incidents were thefts, forgeries and burglaries, victomizing mentally disabled persons”. Now just how pray tell, were these classified as HATE crimes? {Forgeries, and burglaries}?? I certainly didn’t know you had to hate someone to steal from them, and killing a cow? Once the Black Avenger seizes power in this kingdom, and decrees his version of hate crimes against his kind, well you can guess the rest.

What the article doesn’t mention is the fact that a Hispanic person is counted as white when he commits a so-called “hate-crime” against another person; thus, the hate-crime statistics are unreliable.

Moreover, why does the article imply that victims of so-called hate-crimes are somehow more special than victims of other equally detrimental or more detrimental crimes?

“Both incidents were declared hate crimes, criminal acts motivated by a victim’s race, ethnicity or national origin, religion, gender, sexuality or disability.”

How is it possible to determine whether or not a criminal’s motivation for his crime had anything to do with his victim’s race? Unless you’re psychic, there’s no conceivable way to read a person’s mind.

One simple way out of the hate crime conundrum is to label every instance of interracial crime “hate,” and greatly increase the penalties for them. That way, every time a black rapes a white, it’s a hate crime; every time a black breaks into your house, it’s a hate crime; every time blacks corner you on the subway and take your wallet, it’s a hate crime. If races must live together and can’t do it harmony, then let’s force them to leave each other in peace.

Eduardo:

If you people stop coming to our country, you would not have to worry about being attacked.

Posted by Race Patriot at 12:54 AM on May 15

Since this article does not include blacks as victims, and the story is out of Tennessee, I am going to conclude it is blacks committing the crimes. The article does not mention this because I am sure the writers want it concluded that it is whites committing these crimes. There was a story posted on AMREN awhile ago about blacks abusing handicapped whites trying to enter an amusement park in Florida. When you are a violent thug, it doesn’t matter who your victim is, as long as you have one.

Posted by Kellie at 10:41 AM on May 15

Eduardo,

You and your gangs bring more violence to this country than you have ever suffered at the hands of real Americans. You treat one another with such rage and violence that it is comical how you try to convey yourself as some peacemakeron on a site not intended to reflect your views. I had never heard of anyone ever being murdered with a machete before the hispanics moved into my city; now, it happens all the time. Watch AMW. Most of the rapes against white women in the US are now perpetrated by hispanics. Oh, why am I even bothering? You probably don’t read enough English to understand this anyway.

Speaking of hate crimes against the disabled:

http://medialab.semissourian.com/story/1166964.html

The victim was white, the perps were black. Mr. Harris got about six months in jail, and skated on hate charges (disability is a hate qualifier in MO) because of the lack of proof.

Cape Girardeau is about 9% black.

It’s not a “method of compiling statistics” - it’s a government.

Every so-called “hate crime” against Latinos that I’ve read about were done by africans. So when we say hate crimes against Latinos we are really saying african against latino violent crime.

Posted by Elrey Jones at 8:42 PM on May 15

>>>So when we say hate crimes against Latinos we are really saying african against latino violent crime

With the probable explanation being Blacks are waking up to the reality Mexicans are pushing Blacks OUT of the low-end job market, EVERYWHERE!

Posted by Fed Up at 12:54 PM on May 16

OK, so, let me get this straight. If a hispanic attacks another hispanic and robs him, the attacker is counted as white, the victim is counted as hispanic, and it is deemed a hate crime, because the attack was considered interracial. It all sounds “sanity challenged” to me.
