Groups Struggle to Clean Up Mess Illegal Immigrants Leave Behind

FoxNews, May 07, 2008

The latest battle in the war on illegal immigration isn’t over the smuggling of undocumented workers, it’s over the trash they leave behind.

{snip}

In 2006 alone, more than 1.18 million pounds of trash was collected along southern Arizona border, many in the meeting spots where immigrants rest, change clothes and wait to hitch a ride further north with a smuggler.

“You can find everything,” said Shela McFarlin, special assistant for international programs at the Arizona Bureau of Land Management. “Blankets, airline tickets, Bibles, wedding pictures, photos of children, school reports, because clearly people don’t tend to throw away everything they’ve brought with them—they’re forced to.”

Arizonia officials have spent approximately $4.4 million over five years to clean up the mess, that continues to build with each crossing. Nearly $1 million was spent for 2007 from a base BLM appropriation.

{snip}

The trash is a problem that activist groups, like the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, say will not stop until the nation’s southern border is secured.

{snip}

“What we’re beginning to wonder is how extensive is the problem?” McFarlin said. “How many millions of pounds of garbage? How many roads are really damaged? How many miles of illegal trails?”

{snip}

“The first thing you notice if you were to drive across some of this land is you see water bottles, lots of water bottles,” McFarlin said. “Where people stop to wait to be picked up—we call them ‘layup’ spots—then you will see more of the clothing, medicine bottles, papers, everything.

“We recently cleaned up one location with almost 4,000 backpacks left behind,” she said.

Simcox said his group cleans up the private lands of ranchers who help them on their quest to monitor the border.

“We’ve seen it time and time again, where we go in and clean up these areas and within months they’re just filled again with the same debris,” Simcox said.

The Arizona BLM and the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps do not work together on cleanup efforts.

Both groups say it may take years to correct.

I am nobody’s idea of an eco-freak or a tree-hugger. But even I can see that, whatever amount of trash is strewn from their crossings of our (now hypothetical) border, it is but the tiny tip of the garbage iceberg they’ll leave behind once they’re living here.

How many square miles of virgin territory will US have to devote to landfill sites JUST from people we never wanted in the first place? Why, their dirty diapers alone must fill entire football fields. An estimated 12 - 20 million illegals already here? With their squaws spitting four-or-more ninos apiece? Do the stinky math and get back to me.

This, too, will be left to Los Gringos to clean up.

In 2002, illegals left 1.8 million pounds of trash along the Arizona border.

And the corrupt Sierra Club took a huge bribe from a “white” gentleman to look the other way on immigration.

So much for saving the Earth.

The hierarchy of values in leftism reveals its real purpose (or at least, its function) to anyone willing to look and think.

Mexicans mess it up. White man cleans it up. Then they mess it up again and again. I can also say that about some other races in America. When are we to rid ourselves of the “White Mans Burden”?

“Arizona officials have spent approximately $4.4 million over five years to clean up the mess, that continues to build with each crossing.”

I once dated a rather brassy bartender, who was constantly making a drink she called a “Mexican Revolution.” It consisted of Tequila, Ouzo, and a few other liquors I can’t remember; it was lit on fire and sucked quickly down with a straw. The trick to doing it right was to literally come close to inhaling the drink, because if you did so the Ouzo left a pleasant liquorish aftertaste. When done too slowly, most people would cough and retch the thing up, making at best a purely liquid mess.

In part, this article reminds me of this strange episode in my life, because if the victims of her little flaming “trademark” did not heed her warning to ingest the things “as fast” as they possibly could, they got laughed at and had a rag tossed at them by her. Her sneering epitaph on their failure was simple enough: “Clean up your mess.”

Here we sort of have a solution to these millions of pounds of trash, left behind by these 12 to 20 million alien border hoppers. We should start rounding them up, hauling them in trucks to the areas of their invasion’s pollution, and let them know that they have to clean up their Raza’s collective mess. They should also be informed that they have a specific timeframe in which to do so for an assigned geographic area, for their “undocumented” cleanup crews, or they will suffer the same fate as what they have and have not collected to our satisfaction.

This being lit afire and dropped over a major Mexican “city.”

Gee .. I must have missed this article in National Geographic. Nor did I see the Sierra Club protesting.

I have an idea on how to use that much trash….crush it together and make a nice heap of mashed up trash and use it for part of the fence….make sure it is their side of the border and sit back and watch them scream bloody murder….do it and I will sell tickets to watch their faces…

Where are these FAKE “environmental groups” when you need them? They’re complaining that a fence along the border would cause “environmental damage” and yet, millions of pounds of trash is simply fine with them?? Insane!

Also, where are the Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) when you need them? Drunk driving is a problem for these people except when these drunk drivers happen to be illegal aliens!

In fact, where is our so-called government when we need them? Guess we now have a “virtual government” just like a “virtual fence” and soon we’ll be a “virtual nation”…

We should incarcerate these invaders before we deport them and form them into chain gangs They would be required to clean up every ounce of flith they leave behind This would have some deterrent effect. Then place Sheriff Joe Apairo in charge. Only in a perfect world.

Having toured Mexico’s backroads on three separate motorcyle expeditions during college and law school, I can attest that Mexicans are filthy people who leave trash everywhere. It was a shock for my suburban friends and me to see how little they care for animals and for the environment.

Because trash is not very dense, and does’t stack compactly, I am guessing 900 tons of trash would fill a train of coal hoppers.

Perhaps the ideal solution would be to load it into C-130s and dump it out the rear ramp doors in nighttime flights over Mexico.

This is hardly surprising. I live thousands of miles from the Mexican border but the illegals here dump plenty of trash on the sidewalks and people’s yards.

I have left instructions with my closest friends and relatives that if I am ever found to be cleaning up either graffitti, trash,or any other mess illegal alien Mexicans create, I am to be interned in the nearest asylum for my own good. Because this would definetly be proof that I have “lost it”.

I think there is something in thier genetic makeup that causes them to have no concern for the greater community. To go through life in a happy go lucky manner, disregarding whatever wreckage they may leave strewn in thier wake, spoiling, then moving on to as yet unspoiled territory. They are nomads by nature who leave a path of devastation behind as they travel.

Arcadian——Thank you for the excellent link. It gives one a real sense of the physical disaster caused by illegals in some of the most once beautiful parts of our country.

Where are the Greens, the Sierra club, the environmental groups who are outraged over carbon emmissions and literally shake in anger at the disappearance of some insignificant species of insect? I would love to read a book about exactly how the environmental movement has been bought off on the issue of illegal immigration. I do not know of such a book but it needs to be written if it has not been. It is, of course, not only the mountains of trash that illegals leave behind but the physical effect of their ecological footprint and their incredibly insulting attitude that should lead Americans to wake up to this invasion and demand action.

The Sierra Club’s hypocracy on this issue is what caused me to leave that group a few years ago. I continued to get donation solicitations, until I wrote a letter to their President telling him exactly why I quit the group and that the Sierra Club would never see another cent from me until it dropped its PC avoidance of the issue. I’m still waiting.

That “something in their genetic makeup” is low IQ. Every pathology or undesirable trait that you mention is either directly traceable to, or at least consistent with, a lower average of intelligence for mestizos than for whites.

I live in the Washington, D.C. area, but I can attest to how gross these people are. Back in 1991, about noon one day, I was walking down a side street when out of nowhere a Mexican ethnic pulled out his pants and urinated on the lawn right in front of me. And he grinned at me the whole time, as if it were some kind of joke.

Absolutely disgusting, these people.

I have a houseful of illegals next door to me here in New Orleans and like a few posters above I can attest to the fact that these people are indeed a sloppy lot.

The Sierra club received one hundred million dollars from Newport Beach (CA) investor David Gelbaum, in exchange for the club not discussing immigration. VDARE has the entire, updated story here:

Here’s what the locals think is the way to deal with the invasion. Unlike our Senor Bush, these Americans don’t seem to have a problem with making their intentions pretty obvious. Don’t you love these guys? Hope this link works:

Before going on a camping trip in Mexico with friends, I was told that the thing about Mexico is that there is trash everywhere and that where ever you go, you will find people. In other words, there is no uninhabited space. When I went there, I found it that it was true.
And that will be our future in the US.

It occurs to me that these litterbugs are the same folks who claim ownership of “Aztlan.” They have a curious way of showing respect for land they claim to love.

They also plant marijuana in our national forests and plac booby-traps, typically fishhooks on springy branches at eye-level, to keep their plants secure. Of course it is usually unwitting hikers who are injured with these.

Almost all who call themselves environmentalists are ex-
treme liberals and therefore hypocrites and chumps. One who didn’t and wasn’t-Edward Albee. Towards his last years, he spoke

out against the invasion scandalizing the lesser men who thought

he was one of their own. They are still scratching their heads

about it. They just don’t get it: a man protects what he loves.

And ulike them, Albee was a man, a very gifted one who stuggled

with his contrdictions. But these pious little frauds never have

to stuggle with anything. They have no psychic traumas because

they have no psyches just conditioning. Albee deserves to be known more by Patriots who love the Land. His writing ranges from

biting satire to sriptural reverence.

Can anyone tell me how to say “are you here legally or are you one of the illegals the cops are looking for”????
