Fulton County Judge Marvin Arrington, who last week asked white people to leave his courtroom while he chastised black defendants, on Thursday delivered much the same message to anyone who wanted to hear it.
“We have insanity going on in the black community,” he said to the courtroom as TV news crews filmed his spiel. “If we don’t say something, the infrastructure of this community is going to collapse. It will be like living in the wild, wild west.
{snip}
The judge apologized if he offended any whites but said he was just trying to do some good. He ticked off a list of crimes to help illustrate why he was delivering a message to African-American youth.
—Arrington said a white man and a white woman were buying crack cocaine near Christian City in South Fulton County when they got into a dispute with the black vendor over the price. The dealer wanted $20 for the rock, the male buyer wanted to pay $15.
“He (the dealer) said, and I quote, ‘I get tired of you crackers,’ and he shot the fella in the head. The girlfriend said, ‘Why would you do that?’ And he said, ‘We don’t need no witnesses,’ and shot her in the head,” Arrington recalled. A security guard investigated and the gunman killed him. Three deaths, the judge said, in 20 minutes.
{snip}
—His own brother was robbed while unlocking the door to his home. A gunman put a pistol in his brother’s mouth while his brother’s wife watched. “My sister-in-law was a nervous wreck,” he said. These are the type of crimes you don’t read about.”
African-Americans in positions of authority have an obligation to speak out to young people who are on the path to becoming street thugs before they turn into killers, Arrington said. He said people he puts on probation too often end up back in court on a new charge.
He said as a youth he could have easily ended up on the wrong track when he was doing poorly in school. He credits his parents, teachers and his childhood friend Hamilton Holmes, one of the students who later integrated the University of Georgia, with giving him a helping hand and persuading him to buckle down.
He said he also recognized that all honest work was worthy work, and holding steady jobs ensured he had money and stayed out of trouble.

You know, I actually think this judge was trying to do the right thing, but … he should have known better. This was not the right way to do what he wanted.
If a white judge had ordered all blacks out of a courtroom so the “white folk” could talk a while, well we all know what would have happened:
1 - The media would have played it endlessly, in the worst light possible,
2 - All government officials would be in a mad rush to condemn the backwards, racist judge,
3 - The NAACP, Al Sharpton, Jesse and the rainbow, et al., would be demanding an imediate resignation, public apology, and full blown investigation as to why this white man was even allowed to serve on the bench to start with,
4 - The democratic party would make it a platform issue, I can hear Hillary now “We must endeavor to end the rule of the racist white males who have for so long dominated this society which was really built by the minorities” Obama would say “We must change the way we do business in the court system, to give hope to the underprivileged, to renew our faith in our judicial system and in short to raise up the minorities that have been oppressed.”
5 - The judge would then apoligize, resign his position, undergo psychotherapy, pay restitution to all the blacks which had to leave the courtroom and finally he would be forced to sell his home and move to a new city under a new name.
Welcome to 2008.

Hooray for this man. Hopefully he and others like him will become a new breed of black leaders that will displace the present detritus that claims that position.
“A gunman put a pistol in his [the judge’s] brother’s mouth while his brother’s wife watched.”
Ah yes. Nothing like a little personal involvement to deepen a person’s intellectual grasp of the subject. It’s fortunate the judge wasn’t a brainwashed white unable to learn anything from the incident.

“He (the dealer) said, and I quote, ‘I get tired of you crackers,’ and he shot the fella in the head. The girlfriend said, ‘Why would you do that?’ And he said, ‘We don’t need no witnesses,’ and shot her in the head,” Arrington recalled.
This environment is in part a result of 45 years of painting blacks as victims and whites as villains.
The prisons are full and letting people out early, the courts are full and out of ideas, and the politicians are clueless. Until those in authority get a clue, many in society will practice avoidance.

He said he also recognized that all honest work was worthy work, and holding steady jobs ensured he had money and stayed out of trouble.
Booker T. Washington believed if you did a job well or better than others, your work would always be in demand, regardless of your race. (Up From Slavery)
W.E.B. DuBois, a brilliant student, never encountered racism until he left his sheltered white community. It shocked him and embittered him. He was one of the founders of the NAACP and the beginning of the excuse mentality that has crippled today’s blacks.
Men like Judge Arrington, Booker T. Washington, and even Bill Cosby are looked upon as Oreos and “Uncle Toms” for speaking this truth. (I doubt many blacks have actually read “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” or realize how the book largely influenced the slavery debate). They all should read “Up From Slavery”.
If prostitution and drugs were legalized, Blacks would have even less means to live as most don’t have the skills to compete in legitimate business. Illegal aliens are more reliable and less trouble as employees and they definitely have taken jobs from American Blacks. Without illegals, business owners would have to put up with Blacks’ difficulties and employ them. They are Americans and without jobs, they will only resort to crime. Without illegals in the prison system, at least there would be more space to warehouse criminal Blacks…

People just don’t want to hear the truth. Marvin Arrington, I originally thought back in the day was just a typical race pimp, but i was wrong. He is right on in what he is saying about young blacks these days, who apparently have no regard for life and WILL shoot and kill anyone who doesn’t show them the ‘respeck’ the little thugs think they deserve. I should’ve voted for marvin arrington for mayor of atlanta years ago. instead, we got that criminal skumbag bill campbell who is in jail right now.

Sounds like he has his head on straight and his heart is in the right place. I judged him a little too harshly after the first article.
Wish there were more like him.

What is really perverse about our society is that only black judges are allowed to do this? White judges should be doing the very same thing.
Posted by Civilized Neighbor at 9:07 PM on April 4
Clearly, as I said in comments to the article above, this can be resolved with a new massive government program.
The “No Child Left Morally Behind” program will mandate annual testing in common sense and a basic concern for others. If annual progress is not made for each ethnic subgroup, then more money will be have to be spent.

“He said he also recognized that all honest work was worthy work, and holding steady jobs ensured he had money and stayed out of trouble.”
What he’s really saying here is that working was an option he FINALLY took to get on the straight and narrow, which unequivocally implies that the same option is available to the black criminals who come before him, and he is right on about that.
However, blacks nowadays are reinforced in their victim status by the Reverend Wrights rife within the black community, and they opt to rob, burlarize, and sell dope instead of working their way slowly into a better situation, which most all whites recognize as the only way to go.
Racism…..past and present…..slavery 200 hundred years ago, or any other favorite black whining topic have absolutely nothing to do with the out-of-control black crime rates. Blacks commit crimes because it pays better than working unless they get caught.
Their problem is that they get caught often, just as they do the world over, including Africa.

“If we don’t do something the infrastructure of this community is going to collapse. It will be like living in the wild, wild West.”
Huh?—By comparison to “urban” Atlanta, DC, Cleveland, Detroit, LA, et al. standards, living in the “wild, wild West” would be like a night at the opera at Lake Wobegon. The infrastructure of Judge Arrington’s community long ago collapsed.

How do we really know this was the same speech he gave behind closed doors? For all I know it could have been pointers for shuckin and jivin themselves out of jail.

Yes, this judge was trying to do the right thing. However, we’re not supposed to ‘discriminate’ by race. I believe what he did was not a slap in the face to whites but a kick in the pants to blacks. But again, blacks demanded we do away with ‘discrimination’ so blacks should have to live by the rules they insist we live by.
I have no doubt his intentions were pure. It seemed clear from the first article that he’s frustrated and angry that blacks can’t or won’t get their act together.
I don’t fault him for trying but unless I have the right to ‘discriminate’, neither should any black man or woman. The day I can ask blacks to leave the run so I can speak to other whites is the day he can do the same for blacks.
I empathize with him and I share in his frustration at trying to do the right thing and having it used against him for all the wrong reasons.

It is collapsing right NOW, and the soufflé has already fallen in many areas like downtown Detroit, for example. Things are only being held up in two main ways: the general affluence of the country as a whole; and denial on ALL our parts (reminds me of Wile E. Coyote having run off a cliff and being held in mid-air, until a few moments into the realization—-before plummeting).

I’m going to give Judge Arrington the benefit of the doubt. It seems his heart was in the right place, even if his head wasn’t.
Hope he continues to stress this message.

The judge is obviously not White, or else there would be 24 hour a day protests around his court.
Posted by at 7:17 AM on April 5
Next step would be to order all White perspective jurors out of the room.
Posted by Drifter at 7:44 AM on April 5
This fellow should replace Sharpton, Jesse and crew as he actually seems to have some sense of what is right and wrong and is not afraid to say so, even when it comes to blacks. He is exactly what the black community needs, rather than the race hustlers who always have the same excuse for black failure and criminality, you guessed it, “racism”.
Posted by at 8:58 AM on April 5
He should have asked all the blacks to leave the room and then scolded the whites for slavery, etc. Had he done this he would be on the ticket as Obama’s Vice-President.
He is wasting his time talking to these black youts.

Judge Arrington didn’t have to order whites out of his courtroom in order to verbally warn Bantus they’re headed down a wrong path. We here at Amren knew that ALREADY. Any thinking Caucasian knows that blacks commit crimes at a higher rate than any other race, in the USA.

What part of Disneyland does this man live in?
He believes the black community is liable to collapse?
It has collapsed on every level. Every statistic shows it.
The real thing worth noticing is that blacks dont really seem
to care..or rather they perfer their fantasies to reality.
Thats what a real tough talk would address.

It’s touching that several AR posters sympathize with Arrington and respect him to an extent. However, I wonder why some posters make a big deal about his asking Whites to leave (assuming that he wasn’t rude about it). It’s not like he was trying to exclude Whites from something that would have benefitted them otherwise…he was merely dealing with Black “dirty laundry” in private (thereby trying to avoid the mistake that Cosby made in airing our dirty laundry in public). Politely asking Whites to leave (as opposed to ordering them to do so) does not seem too over the top (although it’s admittedly not *too* appropriate).

Actually, these criminal defense attorneys who were asked to leave the room know that better than just about anyone else. That’s how they make their living all over the country!

“A gunman put a pistol in his [the judge’s] brother’s mouth while his brother’s wife watched.”
It is not uncommon for defense attorneys for violent Black defendants to weed our White victims of “Black” (real life) criminal violence as jurors because they are unlikely to be taken in by the absurd “stories” they weave during trial. How did this guy get on the bench?

The real mistake the judge made was not in asking the whites to leave, but rather in making a rational appeal to behaviour that is completely sub rational and unconscious. I am sure that all
blacks have heard these kinds of speeches in one form or another, that they have all nodded in agreement, and then as soon as they were out of lecturing range their heads have reentered that peculiar sub rational mental space of rap music,
drugs, egotistic self aggrandizing that lower class blacks really inhabit.

I am inclined to do the same but I am left to wonder: what would have happened if he had been white? I think that we all know the answer.

And a hate crime. Yet, we’re only hearing about it as an aside in another story. Reverse the races, and we would still be hearing about it own its own accord.

The Kerner commission in the 60’s, in order to explain blacks rioting and their destruction of their own cities, completely removed all responsibility from them. As the late President Nixon said after reading the report, “it’s everyone’s fault except the rioters”. That period really jump-started the now-lengthy list of excuses for predatory and destructive black behavior, the list that removes responsibility. Blacks love it, the feeling that they can do anything they want and not own up to it — until they reach a prison cell. Then they turn muslim.
Millionaire preacher and hate-monger Wright has “kept the nightmare alive” with his damning of the country, cries of victimhood, and more demands for entitlements. These lies and corrupt messages feed the furnaces into which young blacks jump in.
If the results weren’t so tragic, it would look like a comedy act every time a Sharpton, Jackson, and Wright opened their mouths as they picked the pockets of their sheeple, wimpy companies, and the taxpayers. The politics of resentment pays huge dividends to these parasites.
The above black “activists” have most likely killed more people in the black community than any disease or addiction. And to think people refer to them as “reverend”.

“blacks should have to live by the rules they insist we live by.”
It shouldn’t be hard for them, considering the rules we live by include mandatory discrimination against whites, enforced by ‘equal opportunity’ offices, and groups like the NAACP and the National Associate of Black Judges all being considered as barometers of vibrancy, while a country-club anywhere that happens to have all white membership is considered evidence of the most vile evil imaginable.

Kudos to the judge for daring to say what every reasonable person knows is the truth and wants to say…but can’t for fear of being labeled ‘racist’ (for whites) or ‘Uncle Tom’ (for blacks). He is a credit to his race and a shining example - should any black choose to follow it.
