Colo. Lawmaker Removed From Podium Over Mexicans Remark
{snip}
State Rep. Douglas Bruce, who has a history of provoking controversy, made the comment during debate on a bill that would allow the state to help immigrant workers get temporary federal visas. The measure is intended to ease a shortage of farm workers in the state.
“I would like to have the opportunity to state at the microphone why I don’t think we need 5,000 more illiterate peasants in Colorado,” Bruce said.
His outburst drew an audible gasp from the House.
“How dare you,” said state Rep. Kathleen Curry, a Democrat who was serving as chairwoman during the debate. She told the Republican lawmaker he was no longer recognized to speak.
{snip}
Rep. Terrance Carroll, a Democrat, said the remark could result in a formal ethics complaint that would require a hearing and possible suspension, censure or expulsion.

I just love the way other politicians, usually white, and Democratic, get all excited when some guy or gal makes a remark out of shear frustration usually, against a minority group. Whereas, these same Democrats, male or female, never, ever, complain about a minority politician, etc., who makes derogatory comments about whites. Phonies. Kathleen Curry, I’d make a bet, would never open her trap if a white person were attacked. Besides this(illegal immigration and guest workers)is a serious issue that is affecting the lives of so many Americans negatively. Sure I don’t agree with Mr. Bruce, but I understand the emotions behind his remark.

That’s an accurate assessment of the typical illegal alien. Why was his freedom of speech taken from him?

I wonder why Sr. Art Torres in California wasnt given a censure for his remarks about prop. 187 being the “last gasp of the White Man”, or Sr. Mario Obledo saying that “California will be a Mexican state, whoever doesnt like it can leave”? This is just one more example of the double standards that prevail in racial matters.

Rep. Bruce’s comments also reflect how the Mexican ruling elite views its own people.

It’s always sad when the truth is no defence.
The illegals occupy the lowest social strata and are more likely to work in the agricultural sector than other people. The term “peasants” is fitting for both of these.
The illegals are also the lowest caste from Mexico, and are very unlikely to have not even finished primary school, let alone foreign language studies. The assumption that illegals are “illiterate” is also true with the vast majority not having any knowledge of English.
Illiterate peasants is therefore proven to be an apt description. Of course, Douglas Bruce spoke ill of a minority. This is heresy in our progressive society.

We have got to make the genocidal PC maniacs back down. He shouldn’t have to stand down or lose his job or any other detrimental action for speaking and speaking the truth. Who’s country is this and what are really made of? It is past time to find out.

Terrance Carroll is a Black man advocating open borders in Colorado and throughout the US. During Committee Hearings a few years ago at the Denver Capitol bldg re legislation proposed by various Colorado Republican legislators, Carroll among others stood out as an arrogant man acting as nasty to Citizens, his constituents. Votes on transfer of assets (Colorado citizens to illegals) were along party lines, and Carroll led the pack of thieves. I’m glad he admits here he doesn’t support the First Amendment! He swore an oath, now needs to resign. Comments on related Denver Post articles www.denverpost.com are running very much in favor of Bruce’s slam at 5000 more “illiterate peasants” being imported to Colorado. Denver is now 40% “Latino”. Gang activity is high. News reports indicate Carroll is now trying to simply to ignore Bruce, and that has to be because his office is deluged with calls supporting Bruce’s comment.

It has rightly been said that a gaff is when a politician tells the truth. Douglas Bruce made a gaff of the first order. It sure is fun to see how the Democrats stand staunchly in favor of our cheap labor policies. They used to be the party of the working class. But the working class was abandoned by both parties long, long ago.

I think we’re all waiting for Bruce’s detractors to prove his characterization of farm laborers as “illiterate peasants” as categorically untrue. All I’ve heard is the usual anti-racist polemics and grandstanding. There must be a rule that one must only praise illegals and never be critical of them or accurately label them. Maybe these high minded state reps should be reminded of the racial epithets used to describe white opponents of immigration by “mainstream” mestizo advocacy groups like La Raza, LULAC and their more radical allies like Mecha.
Unless there are some Ivy League graduates and PhD candidates amongst the 5000 mestizo farm workers, then his colleagues owe him an apology. We all know there will be more than a few sex deviants and drunkards within this latest brown wave.

He was unrepentant (thank God), angry and stated that his mail and phone calls were running 95% in his favor, and that he had no intention of backing down or apologizing.
BTW, Rep. Bruce is a refugee from California, fleeing when the state became overrun with Mexican immigrants—now he is trying to prevent the same thing from happening in Colorado.
Good for him for standing up to these racists and bigots who will try mightily to silence him—ignoring their oaths of office and the laws of the US.
Please write him an e-mail of support, I did.

It has been said that when government makes peaceful change impossible it makes violent change inevitable. We can never defeat the Status Quo via the political process because the political process gave us the Status Quo. I hate to say it, but for every one political traitor sent to meet his maker, a hundred more will instantly become born again constitutionalists. Washington does not hesitate to use force to impose their will upon foreign countries with whom they have no legitimate quarrel; therefore the American people must not hesitate to use force to impose our will upon Washington Quislings with whom we do indeed have a legitimate quarrel…

I want to say that until the Hispanics give up two of their favorite customs:
1: the pointless torturing of animals in bullfighting and cock-fighting and
2: the celebrating of the fact that their daughters become sexually active at the age of fifteen by throwing parties that they can ill afford,
I do not want them living in this country.

Today, in a rare moment of “honesty”, our Houston Chronicle ran a front-page story: ANTI-IMMIGRANT MOOD HERE RISING, ACCORDING TO SURVEY
I am skeptical of any survey since surveys, like statistics, adhere to the adage: FIGURES DON’T LIE AND LIARS DON’T FIGURE… but survey or not, MOST TEXANS HAVE HAD A BELLY-FULL OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Including their utterly low mentality, their animalistic lifestyle, and above all, their parasitism (demands for taxpayer funded hand-outs), their endless crime and the social problems climbing along with the immigrant population.
We Americans need to speak our minds. Telling it like it is. If the damned government bureaucrats (whores, really) don’t want to hear the truth, tell them anyway! Look up the address of the Colorado legislature on the Internet — WRITE to that pandering whore, Kathleen Curry, and let her know there are many MILLIONS of us who agree whole-heartedly with Rep. Here is what I received from Rep. Bruce:
Thank you for your comments regarding the April 21st situation on the House Floor. I have read them and would like to offer the following response. Colorado State House rules require that members speak only to the bill that is on the floor for debate. Representative Bruce lost his speaking privileges for refusing to speak to the bill, even after several requests from me notifying him that he had to limit his comments. The question of where I personally stand on immigration was not at issue nor is it relevant.
For the last three months, Rep. Bruce has repeatedly violated the rules of the Colorado State House, and has the dubious distinction of being the first House member ever censured in the history of our state (because he kicked a photographer during the morning prayer). My statements on record refer to his complete disregard and disrespect for the Colorado State House rules. His violation of those rules is the singular reason for his loss of speaking privileges on that day.
The bill that was being heard was House Bill 1325, by Representative Looper, which proposes a pilot program for assisting agricultural producers with navigating the H2-A visa seasonal agriculture worker program requirements. Colorado is experiencing a worker shortage in the Ag production sector. This bill is designed to allow temporary LEGAL workers to come work the fields for the season and help plant, grow, and pick the crops that feed our country.
Kathleen
Here is what I shot back:
Rep. Bruce WAS SPEAKING to the bill on the floor. It was his straight talk and truthfulness that you did not like.
It is entirely appropriate to note why the great state of Colorado did not need more illiterate peasants siphoning off millions of dollars in taxpayer paid handouts, as this bill would surely have done.
The bigger question is why you seem intent on importing future welfare rolls and why you want to silence someone for pointing it out.
Posted by Renae at 9:49 PM on April 24
I took a policy course and was amazed to find out that the silent majority, because of their silence, nearly NEVER gets represented in policy making. Makes me wonder what hate crime laws would have come out to if we were more verbal.
Please write both representative Curry and Bruce, showing exactly how you feel. Only the VOICE will move constituents.

“The bill being heard was House Bill 1325, … … This bill is designed to allow temporary LEGAL workers to come work the fields for the season and help plant, grow, and pick the crops that feed our country.”
————
Well then, It seems to me, then, that he WAS addressing EXACTLY the subject at hand! Her comments (in her above letter) ard shifty and evasive. If she can’t see that he was addressing the subject of the bill, then she hasn’t the intelligence to be in the Legislature.
And since the bill topic was about importing “agricultural workers”, I think that calling them “peasants” (not really a pejorative, as most of our ancestors were peasants too) is not at all inacurate. And “illiterate” would not be an erroneous term either.
How can they “debate” this bill if no one is allowed to criticize it or disagree? Is silencing the opposition what she considers to be “debate”?

I already recognize where our country is going and that is why I am leaving. I am preparing investments and residences in countries other than my own because I feel better about their future. I can no longer afford to pay the taxes on things I own, every time I come home (from Iraq) I find taxes have been raised and the area I live in over run with Arabs, Latins and sub-continent citizens that I do indeed feel safer in Iraq than I do in my own country. I also predict the U.S. breaking into 2 or 3 separate countries and ultimate road warrior days for the U.S. with roving gangs from big cities terrorizing the country. So I am good for another year then good by I think.
