The most obscene thing that has taken place on the campus of the College of William and Mary wasn’t—despite what overwrought critics claimed—the recent Sex Workers’ Art Show.
No, it was the appearance last week of Jared Taylor. He was invited by students involved with a conservative campus publication that has indulged some pretty retrograde behavior (notably, publicizing the name of a woman who said she had been raped, along with speculative details of her sexual history).
Taylor’s speech was billed as “anti-diversity,” but that mild label hardly does justice to his message, for Taylor is an unabashed racist and white supremacist, praised by the Ku Klux Klan.
He famously argued, after Hurricane Katrina, that “when blacks are left entirely to their own devices, Western Civilization—any kind of civilization—disappears.”
But in the end, while Taylor might be a blot on his own alma mater (Yale), he could do no harm to Thomas Jefferson‘s. For if there’s one place that must hew to the principle that ideas, even revolting ideas, can’t hurt, that open exchange can’t be limited to ideas we agree with, it’s the state where the Bill of Rights was born, the town where the underpinnings of this great experiment in democracy were first debated—with more heat than Taylor could spark.
Free speech didn’t look so pretty to some when it was about pornography and prostitution. It’s even uglier when it advocates bigotry. But in the end, society is better off for allowing people like Taylor their right to speak, even if it makes you queasy.
Taylor’s speech also reminded us why it is so necessary that the Board of Visitors is committed to another of the college’s principles: making the student body more diverse, economically and racially, and making higher education available to people who don’t look like the group Taylor thinks are the only ones entitled to be in America: whites. Attaining diversity will take special effort and attention; it will not happen spontaneously so long as there are people like Taylor and his fellow travelers, whose notions of what this country should be about are small and ugly.

OK Miss Priss, would you care to tell us all just where and when in history the attainment of diversity took place spontaneously? Are you prepared to launch into an equally enthusiastic diatribe against other societies such as Japan that have longstanding national policies regarding cultural and racial homogenity or that at least limit diversity being imposed from the outside? The poor fool isn’t even aware that he’s as much a product of controlled thinking as George Orwell’s Winston Smith, nor does he understand the concept of repetitious sloganeering and thought control in order to create conditioned reflexes.
He doesn’t offer one iota of evidence that anything Jared Taylor said was incorrect. He just simply declares that it is evil and unacceptable. If he were to rebut anything on this site, he would do nothing more than emit a kind of shreik-filled emotional rant, based in nothing but assertions, interjected with false information and perhaps a slanted, left wing study designed to compile information in support of a particular point of view.
It is these types I delight in seeing fall victim to the very forces they lie to protect.
Since this is the third compilation of absolute trash coming from the above paper it’s obvious it’s no more than a yellow journalistic rag that has no place in honest journalism, and it’s writers are typical of what these kinds of publications produce.
“Disgusting” is far too kind a word to describe both.

The more I hear about MR Taylor the more I love the guy…too bad we can’t run him for president….but then….HE’S TOO WHITE…SORRY FOLKS….WHITES ARE A NO NO ANYMORE!! The author of this article isn’t saying anything new — he or she is merely parroting something invented in the 1990s called “Critical Race Theory.” Its tenets is that “hate” (i.e. disagreeing with the equality politburo) is the worst form of pornography possible, among other things.

Those kind of pieces just don’t wash anymore. Not with me anyway.
Though the writer of the article may have thought they were denouncing Mr. Taylor they were actually sending another message to those who may have never heard of him. And that message is clear, ie; “Disagree with us and this is how you will be characterized.”
Yeah, they need more diversity now more than ever exactly because Whites are waking up to the sham that is diversity.
And the people the are recuiting tend to come from backgrounds that are anything but Democratic. They tend to be, like their Left wing benefactors, short on tolerance and big on disruption and violence.
Or, at least the way the word “diversity” is being used by the PC crowd.
If I had a bigger platform than posting on various websites that permit free speech and disagreement with the minimum of attack, if at all (at least here), then I would use it to not merely attack their position intellectually, I would confront them on the “disease behind the disease”. I would confront them on what I am now convinced is a form of mental illness.

I’ve noticed that no one ever meets Jared Taylor’s arguments. They never refute them, never offer contrary data, never show the flaws in his reasoning.
All they ever do is sit back on their haunches and call him names.

Does he have some countervailing example, where blacks DO maintain western civilization when left to their own devices? He mentions that quote as though proof that Jared Taylor is wrong. In that case, prove him wrong. You even chose the battleground by picking that quote out of millions of words he has said. Prove him wrong. If you can’t prove his point wrong by pointing out a successful black western civilization, then obviously, since that was the weakest target you could find out of everything he said, you must agree with him on everything.

Jared Taylor is an activist for white people who are oppressed by white Bolsheviks and Obama type black oppressors who attend Jeremiah Wright type churches. How many whites have been killed by africans in America since MLK marched on DC? I say more than 250,000. How many hundreds of thousands of whites have been racially cleansed out of their former neighborhoods by africans? I say millions. Taylor stands up against any of our oppressors. And they are real. Funny, I felt a little ‘queasy’ reading the Editorial, but all I had to do was take two AmRen’s (and yes, I’ll call the Doctor in the morning)…

The table states that for the same year the total number of white women raped was “111,490”, and that “33.6%” of those rapes were committed by Black men.
That’s 37,460 White women raped by Black men in one year, and estimated ZERO Black women raped by White men in that same year. According to the U.S. Department of Justice.
And for a recent year we heard endlessly from our media about that ZERO black woman that was NOT raped by White men: the non-victim in the Duke case.
But we heard virtually NOTHING, I repeat, virtually NOTHING, from our media about the 37, 460 White women that were raped by Black men.

I wonder who would speak out for this author if his kids were forcibly bused to another school, and then harassed or worse? Or if his whole family choose to flee the neighborhood, or the entire city, in the interest of safety? I wonder what the author would have to say about the rev. Wright? Supposedly we are to have a capitalist competitive society with everybody having an equal chance at success. I think the whites grievance and correct grievance is that minority get aa and really don,t have to compete is extremely accurate. I wonder how long this fantasy can be played out. People on here are always saying when are whites going to wake up. I,m awake but how are we ever going to change gov policys back to normal. This vapid editorialist had no arguments to offer nor anything of substance to say, only sneering contempt and verbal abuse; but still had the nerve to bring Thomas Jefferson into the fray. Too bad that Jefferson is not alive today to speak for himself. I doubt there was a word Taylor said that Jefferson would not have agreed with. We know which side Jefferson would have been on!
Incidentally, some of the comments in the discussion area were interesting, though most were just the standard, predictable PC ripe.

Hey guys surely such publicity is better than none, especially if it is called pornographic and many who are at present out of the loop may be tempted to read about it it thus furthering the cause when they realise that the real porn-kings are the “black race hate everyone else” proponents. I now see the American black hypocrites who must have campaigned against Apartheid in South Africa, a country that is falling into real economic trouble now, are calling for their own separate States in the USA. They really do not know their own small minds do they? This was the plan in SA. Send them to Africa where they can perhaps do some good against the despots there and try and build the continent up where their brothers are failing. But it means plenty of hard work as the whites did over hundreds of years.
With propaganda, as the Marxists teach, all seemingly adverse opportunities can be turned to benefits if approached correctly. But it is the water dripping on a stone approach, no overnight miracles. Keep writing to the Press and local papers, TV & radio stations with intelligent well thought out and reasonable observations. Being “anti-diversity” means that you think the whites have a right to exist.
The author of this editorial calls herself “pro-diversity”. It is a mild label that hardly does justice to her desire to remove white students from colleges. She uses a code word because she thinks it doesn’t sound right to say straight out that she is anti-white.
White children are about to become a minority in American kindergartens. Will they have to become less than 5% before the Daily Press editorialist is satisfied there is enough diversity?
The Urban Dictionary definition of ‘diverse’ :
A politically correct way to say that a school, area, or environment is mostly black or Hispanic. It doesn’t have to be ‘diverse’ at all, as in Montebello High School which is 97 percent Hispanic, but it is still called ‘diverse’.

For the life of me I dont know why Mr. Taylor spends his time and energy speaking on any college campus. He is trying to convince the enemy, which will never happen. He should be using his time to set up speaking engagements at public forums, centers, etc, and educating the public. these campus’ are just left wing jerks, and not worthy of consideration. They have every kid indoctrinated already. you can’t even save them from themselves, so I wish he would make his time more productive,by talking to people who has brains and will listen..

I lived in the Hampton VA area for years, just recently moving because of black violent crime. The woman who wrote the article for the Daily Press is ones typical liberal writer employeed by local newspapers. The Daily Press is very liberal. When there are violent crimes in the area they rarely will put a discription in the paper of the offender. Here is the link to readers response to the article in the Daily Press.

He understands perfectly well. Intimidation’s their stock and trade. If you can’t get the government to do it for you, and then report on it, and if you can’t get the ‘students’ to do it for you in person, if you can’t get the ‘workers’ to do it for you, and if you can’t get blacks to do it for you - and that would be a tough day in the world of journalism, and if you can’t get big words to do it for you, simply do it with smaller ones.

The College of William and Mary was founded to teach Christian morals and the Western English traditions so necessary to our country’s founding and initial existence.
That the current President sided with the multiculti experts to REMOVE the CROSS that had adorned the ALTAR of the ANGLICAN Chapel that is at the center of the campus, to make non-whites/ non-Christians ‘comfortable’ in a ‘sacred space’ denies the very faith that founded the College- White, Protestant Christianity!
That some HACK could write this garbage is clearly the atheist mindset inculcated by the removal of Christ from W&M in all phases- deny the Bible and Christianity primacy of place, and you can deny the cultural anti-miscegenation clauses from same as well, thus making sexual orgies NOT obscene, and preaching the gospel to pagan co-ed hordes an ‘obscene’ act.

I appreciate your point of view, danjack, however right you are about the PC brainwash job done in our “institutes of higher learning”, this is exactly where the opposing view needs to be brought.
Right here on Amren we are preaching to the choir, but the real fight is where our young people are being force-fed this nonsense.
The fact that some are intelligent enough to listen (they are university students, after all; must be SOME thought process going on there) and see the truth makes it all the more important that people like Jared Taylor (and the rest of us, too!) got to the source and show these young people what is being done to them, and why. They’re going to be running things in a few years.
Re this article, t’s interesting to note that someone with such strong opinions doesn’t have the guts to put their name on the byline.

There are 16 university organizations (and if you add ones not accredited by the university but merely affiliated, the number would rise significantly) for blacks, alone. You can’t get more racist than naming your organization the “Black Student Union”. That’s literally the basic definition of racism. Let me see if I have it all right - In every school in America, in every institution in America, whether there’s only 1 Asian student present, or whether the last white was driven out (and let’s not discuss the methods in which they are driven out) decades ago, no matter which, they teach the same reverance for diversity, the same love for tolerance, and respect, and by respect, they mean respect for People of color, and in these very institutions many of them practice discrimination against whites in it’s most naked form and have curiculum filled with anti-white propaganda nearly identical to the anti-jewish propadanda in Germany before the Holocaust, and this author makes it his sworn duty to denounce the one white voice who would dare speak out.
I thought it’s said people learn from History? I wonder though if that’s just another lie to influence people into doing what they want? Deep down inside most people know it’s just another lie. A large number of people are willing to look the other way. On the plus side, at least the Daily Press is good at it.

Most white Americans are unaware that there is a huge community of their fellows who see right through the diversity is strength foolishness. Most don’t know there is anyplace to voice their opinions and to read the thoughtful posts of others on race realism.
If even one person is awakened to AmRen by posting a link, and to the fact that there is a pro-white, return to sanity community with whom they can exchange ideas, it’s a good thing you’ve done. This movement has to start from the ground up. Awareness must be promoted at every opportunity. Time’s running out.

Not true…I have a small group of people on my campus that is aware..no doubt W+M did too. As do many colleges. What you didn’t read in the paper is the many whites who heard this message and took it to heart! The youth are no different than the adults. Some are with us , some are against us, most just dont care either way…Sad

Notice that this Newport News ‘reviewer’ completely avoided mentioning (let alone fairly considering) a single idea presented by Taylor in his speech, but instead merely used the entire article to make a long, repetitious ad hominem attack.
He therefore disgraced himself and his newspaper by stooping to print more routinely tiresome liberal grafitti while self-congratulating his own childish and presumptuous moral posturing.

Without taking a stand on the main issues of this Editorial, I have to comment on one idea that is constantly made by people in the “Education Establishment”, that is based on a faulty premise. That is the idea that a “formal education” is some kind of panacea that radically changes peoples basic character. Nonsense. It is the basic Character of a person that determines whether or not he/she cares at all about knowledge, or learning. I have met some of the most vile, shallow, and in general stupid people during the course of my life, who were highly educated. So when the writer of the above piece claims that …making “higher education” available to people who don’t look like Taylor, and that “diversity” will inevitably cause peace and fellowship in the world, he is parroting the usuall well-known liberal-progressive mantras.

Yeah boy! This diversity thing sure does seem to work alright. Is that why where my granddaughter goes to middle school she and one other child are the only two white children in the class out of about twenty? The black children are drug in there from everywhere….. For diversity.
Like most other places in America, the whites either move out or take their children to other less diverse locals. Now the teachers that are left, are merely junior prison guards for the disruptions the kids bestow upon the class. Not that the children are bad because they’re black, they have no manners, are disrespectful, have no morals and are the most unruly lot I’ve ever seen. And the boys are almost as bad! The NEA, government teacher can’t teach, they just try to keep the minority students from getting killed.
I’ve listened to Mr. Taylor a few times. What he says and the views he has are not meant to be mean. Listen to the man’s voice when he has a talk. Is he in the same mood as the Rev. Wright that we’ve seen on TV this week?
He is only stating facts that some of us actually see first hand. It helps for people like me to actually know there is a person like Mr. Taylor that can explain a problem like we have, that most of us in normal life are afraid to speak up about. See how this brain washing works on whites? Is it wrong to agree with him?
Here would be a good test for the person that thinks Mr. Taylor is a nut and a racist. How about if they brought their child or grandchild to go to school with my granddaughter for a couple weeks. Like exchange students. Oh, but I bet they have to go to one of those ole private schools. Right?

If you go to the ‘Leonard Jeffries’ link, you’ll find the quote there of Jeffries wrong. Jeffries was in charge of NY’s diversity program. The actual quote is, “African genes have been augmented by the value system of the sun… white people are ice-people, dirty, dastardly, devilish, devious, diabolic, folks.” It can be found in Dinesh De Souza’s ‘Illiberal Education’.

Beginning to see more and more “common sense” on this site.
As a teacher in the public school system I began my career in the rural climes of N.Carolina.
I retired from the California Public School system having experienced inner-city student/parent behavior. My personal experiences cover interactions with students in 4 main areas …. white, black, mexican, asian. Each culture emanates specific “behaviors” inherent to that group; clearly the genes, customs, attitudes etc. are handed down to each new generation.
In the classroom, especially the ones you see on TV, we’re a beautiful, gentle, loving, happy family. However on the playground realty sets in; black females in one group (decibel level always the highest), mexicans huddled together, whites keeping to themselves, asians busy studying.
Yes, race matters, even to the point of being “the issue” in today’s society.
