MLK Day Disagreement

Steven Hoenstine, York (Pennsylvania) Daily Record, February 25, 2008

The Northeastern School Board’s discussion Monday regarding the calendar for the 2008-09 school year prompted a debate over the role of two holidays.

The district designated Jan. 19, 2009, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, as a day off.

It designated Feb. 16, 2009, Washington’s Birthday, and Presidents Day, as a snow makeup day.

Northeastern School District board member Joseph Griffith told the board that MLK Day and Presidents Day should be treated equally in the school’s calendar.

“I just think they should be treated the same,” Griffith said. “Why not make Martin Luther King Day a snow day?”

After the meeting, Santiago [board President Timothy Santiago] stressed that his views are very different from those of Griffith.

“As long as I am president of this board, we will never consider having school on Martin Luther King Day,” Santiago said.

Yes, because Martin Luther King might as well be God Himself, and certainly far more worthy than retrogrades like George Washington. After all, rabbling in the streets in 1960s was far more important for America than leading barefoot soldiers across the Potomac in the 1770s.

I’ve been employed at the same place
for 15 years and each year the blacks and

jews enjoy more holidays while I bust my

ass to make up for their absence. If I moved

as slowly as the black guys, I’ld be going

backwards.And, on days that I don’t work,

they get off almost 2 hours later than

when I’m there. We don’t get paid by the hour.

“Griffith said. “It’s not that I want to show any disrespect. I just don’t like giving more weight to one federal holiday than another federal holiday. I’m not showing any disrespect.”

This Santiago is an anti-white racist for certain, which he makes very plain, yet it is Griffith who feels he should explain that he doesn’t have any disrespect, while the racist Santiago makes it known he prefers “people of color.”

We let them into the country and their first opportunity they show us how much they hate us, our history, and our founding fathers.

MLK day is more fun than Presidents day. On MLK day students can plagerize their term papers, get paid for doing nothing, and molest anyone they can get their paws on. Now if Presidents Day was changed to Clinton Day, maybe you’d have some competition.

MLK: Most Beloved Glorious Dear Leader!!!

Hey you, you are not groveling before his portrait with sufficient humility!

“As long as I am president of this board, we will never consider having school on Martin Luther King Day,” Santiago said.

What a racist SOB. What the white parents should do is keep their children home on Presidents Day. They should make sure there are functions at the schools on mlk day. Make the functions white. WHITE PEOPLE WAKE UP.

Santiago is a disgusting marxist! We need an island somewhere to ship all these traitors of America to. Like MLK is a hero! He was a commie and an anti-White racist.

Kind of ironic isn’t it ??

Ahhhh Santigo has spoken….he must be a black hispanic….after all MLK is a saint….hahahahaha….opppps sorry but it has to be said….they admire idiots, rapists….adulters…ect….so MLK day honors all of the above. How sick is that?

When Black National holidays surpass White national holidays in significance anti White sentiment creates momentum which often bellows, deflates, or remains stangnant over the course of the holiday.

““As long as I am president of this board, we will never consider having school on Martin Luther King Day,” Santiago said.”

Yeah, that sounds about right.

not going to school on mlk day? seems appropriate to me!

Us whites should simply make MLK Day the third Sunday every January. That way everybodys happy…Santiago’s stated condition is met: MLK Day is NOT on a school day. Presidents Day remains as a floater. And if it is a snow make up day, so much the better. Our kids can tell all the others that that day is a designated ‘White Day’.

“As long as I am president of this board, we will never consider having school on Martin Luther King Day,”

There’s never any give and take with these guys. They will always beat their chest and scream until they get there way.
When you elevate the civilized and the uncivilized to the same plane the uncivilized wins by virtue of obnoxiousness.

Cheer up. White Guilt month is almost over.

Don’t forget Black History Month is February, the shortest month of the year. Hmmm, a racist plot?

I like to compare Christmas and MLK day.

Christmas, the birthday of Christ, which the p.c. crowd wants to downplay.

3 weeks later;

MLK Day, the birthday of Martin Luther King, which the p.c. crowd tries to outdo each other in smarmy praise for the man.

——————————————

Maybe President’s day can be renamed “Obama Day” depending on the outcome of certain events next November and we can make it a holiday again?

Speaking of holidays has anybody else been bombarded with propaganda for this new holiday today called “saviors day”.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savior%27s_Day

There are posters up all over my neighborhood for this Neo-Kawanza. Ugghhh..

I would like to see Washington and Lincoln’s birthdays restored as separate holidays. Since that isn’t going to happen couldn’t we just rename Presidents’ Day to “Washington-Lincoln Day”?

Posted by at 4:39 PM on February 27

Let’s see. What did George Washington do for us? Well, more than anyone else he gave us independence. What did MLK do for us? When this man of non-violence (I believe he really was) died, we had riots. Are race relations better today than they were in 1968? No. Therefore, his “leadership” was not very effective. But, all that doen’t matter in our PC world. He was BLACK.
