Thousands of illegitimate mixed-race children fathered by American GIs were given up by their British mothers and shipped across the Atlantic, according to newly released papers.
The issue of how to deal with the unwanted offspring of the illicit affairs divided the country towards the end of the Second World War and exposed the racial prejudices of the time.
It was considered so serious that there were dire warnings it could harm Anglo-American relations and the Government was urged to treat the children as “war casualties”.
The problem began to emerge in 1944, when increasing numbers of US servicemen were stationed around Britain.
Many of the women they fathered children with were wives of British soldiers fighting abroad.
The documents suggest that where the baby was white it was often possible for husband and wife to be reconciled and keep the child. However, this was rarely possible when the child was mixed race.
At a conference on the matter in December 1944 John Carter, of the League of Coloured Peoples, said: “In several cases they are married women whose husbands are in the army, usually overseas, and they usually get letters from their husbands saying ‘Well, I am very sorry to hear about it. If you can get the child adopted everything will be all right.’
“Then there is the unmarried mother who would have prospects of marriage if she could get rid of the child and I think the question is whether or not a Home ought to be provided for these children in some part of the country.”
Some wanted the children raised in homes alongside white children, a few said they should be brought up with other black children to avoid racism, and many called on them to be sent to America to be nearer their fathers.
Speaking at the same conference a Miss Steel, general secretary of the Church of England Moral Welfare Council, said: “The suggestion that they should be shipped back to America is terribly cruel, even if it were possible. Their mothers are the people to whom they are linked most closely, and it would add to their sense of being unwanted, not only that their mothers had given them up but the country where they were born had given them up too.”
Miss Steel said the war babies should be given places in local authority and voluntary sector homes to solve the problem of finding foster parents.
“In rural areas and small towns . . . (social) workers found it difficult enough to find foster mothers for any children, and impossible to find for the coloured child…I know of an evacuated family where the father was a coloured man and every visitor to that village was shown the child as an object of local interest.”
The files, released today by the Public Records Office in Kew, include a letter from a Miss O. Clarke to her MP suggesting the babies be placed in West Indies mission schools.
However, a Whitehall official wrote to the MP in July 1944: “The proposed solution is high handed and—if confined to coloured illegitimates—has a Herrenrasse (master race) flavour not now popular.”
By the end of the war pressure was mounting on the Government to take action.
In letters to the Ministry of Health in December 1945 and March 1946 Harold Moody, founder of the League of Coloured Peoples, said Britain and the US must treat each baby as a “war casualty” and warned: “Our anxiety is to forestall a social problem which might not only affect the life of this country but which might also affect Anglo-American relations.”
In response Aneurin Bevan, health minister, said his policy was to encourage mothers to keep their children, or failing that to tackle the shortage of places in homes.
The Home Office, however, differed and one official wrote: “Provided it is clear that the mother does not want the child and there is a reasonably satisfactory home in the US the child will have a far better chance if sent at an early age to the US than if it brought up in this country.”

Once and for all, this proves to me at least, that when you bring outsiders into a culture or race, you will loose that culture and race - eventually. Sixty years later, the lack of control of thousands of British women had to be dealt with in what now many view as a racist solution. But the tolerance required to even forgive such behavior led to the next step down and the next, until we see the Britain of today already gone over the precipice into racial and national oblivion.

Thousands? In the 1940’s? I thought the problem with Brits today was the result of years of politically correct brain washing but apparently their desire for cultural suicide is genetic. I find this article sickening and disturbing (but not for the same reasons the author apparently does).

If you were fighting for the survival of your country and came home to that, what would you do? Maybe their are circumstances when “honor killing” is appropriate.

Wow. The rot goes back quite a way. I would be interested in knowing the numbers involved here. England was foolish to get involved in a war that was essentially between Germany and the Russian Bolsheviks. Had France and England given Germany her blessing, Marxism would have been throttled in its cradle. There will come a time when we will no longer have the freedom to even express this thought.

Strange. I am not sure I believe this story since blacks served in support roles only during WWII and were not desegregated until the early 1950’s. I am sure that some cook or orderly was given leave and took up with some local girl but it seems pretty quiet. In Vietnam this was rampant and very visual in the media.

I am not shocked that the English women were so debauched back then. Amrican women would take another 20 years to get that bad, but the English were there first, and paved the way for the ‘backward provincials’ to follow.
Those with a tendency to romanticize the English and their culture need to keep this in mind. Remember the fact that it was the English who booted White-ruled South Africa from the British Commonwealth ,and then led the world to ostracize and hound South Africa until it caved in to black Marxism.

I doubt that there were “thousands” of mulatto children involved. It’s just another airhead liberal telling a made up story, hoping to incur more white guilt.
But, whatever the number, I think the kindest thing would have been to relocate them to Africa, along with several thousand dollars in compensation for their upbringing, and their mothers should have been deported right along with them, so they could find a spouse that looked like their children, thereby giving them a father figure.
But I imagine the kid would always be asking throughout his growing years, “How come she looks so different from us?”

The average British subject of that time period did not have the experience of living near large groups of blacks. Their only points of reference, regarding black men, were Hollywood movies, and lurid tabloid stories about the evil of White racism in the USA — the anti-racism poison was common even back then. Upon discovering that there were no racial restrictions in Britain, Black GI’s pursued White British women with an intensity that they rarely experienced from their own menfolk. Since most US blacks were raised in a Jim Crow environment, most were well behaved in public, addressing people as sir and ma’am. This combination of lack of intimate knowledge of the nature of the black, combined with being the object of intense attention, along with the perception that blacks were underdogs, created a perception of the romantic/exotic black man. While in Britain, the majority of black US GI’s, had no trouble at all finding White female company. The problem became so bad, that it caused conflict between black and White US GI’s. British women often flaunted their relationships with black US GI’s in front of their White counterparts in order to provoke fights and humiliate White GI’s. The most disgusting thing about all this was that many of these British women were married with husbands serving oversees. Many of these British men picked up where they left off after returning home even thought they knew that their wives were having sex with blacks during their absence.

Ha Ha Ha!! This is hilarious!!! Bringing mulatto children up with black children will help them avoid racism???!!! Are they kidding me??? Blacks are the most racist and racially obsessed group on the planet and are notorious for their racism among themselves when it comes to lighter and darker shades (not to mention their virtually pathological racism against white people).
From experience I know that mixed race children who hang around full-blooded blacks or are exposed to their rhetoric in other ways become 1000 percent more racist themselves. Stop and consider some of the most virulent American anti-white racists over the decades: The “honorable” Minister Farrakhan, Malcolm X, the rapper “Ice-T,” WEB Du Bois, etc. Notice something similar about such characters’ skin color?
Just by looking at them you can tell that they have plenty of Caucasian blood in them, but if you pointed that out to them they would deny it vehemently — so deeply runs their hatred for white people, and ironically in their cases, hatred for themselves. But they would rather loathe themselves than admit to being partially white and putting themselves at odds with the “brothers.”

In Vietnam. those children that were half black and half vietnamese were at the very bottom of the social-economic ladder.They were the outcasts of society, and so were their mothers. But where black servicemen are truly thrilled to be stationed is in Germany, every since the end of WWII. It is like paradise for them,and especially with the German women being so brainwashed after being told how diversity and multiculturalism is such a good thing. Has any former servicemen or women on this site seen this in Germany too?

Although I can only abhor the circumstances that generated these children, I also like to think that one of the fundamental differences between Whites and Blacks is that Whites (a) have family value and (b) take responsibility for their actions. If the details of this article are true (and this needs to be further ascertained) then the women in question had neither.

I am surprised there were that many of them. I still have the old pictures my Grandfather took off his Brownie camera in WWII when he was Europe, and virtually every soldier in all his pictures was white.

Poor Tommy goes off to fight a war against the only people in Europe that wanted to keep Europe a White continent. Tommy comes home to find he has achieved his goals better than he could ever have dreamed because he now has a black baby. Couldn’t happen to a nicer group of people ( remember the Brits offered black slaves citizenship during the revolutionary war if they would betray America). It’s a little known fact that the Germans never had any use for Black slaves ( they did their own work).

I believe that most were sent to Brazil, whose people have a high black intermixture. I don’t think any went to Uruguay, which is 88% white. However, I don’t know about Paraguay.

To have had women so contemptible to have had sexual relations with black American soldiers while their husbands were fighting the Nazis and Japanese is one thing but actually having the result of such unions around to remind of the shame is certainly going too far.

I was stationed in Germany for a couple of years in the 1980’s. It seemed as though it was black women who didn’t like being stationed there. German girls would, sometimes, date black GI’s. The difference between being stationed in Germany and being in a military town in the US is that oftentimes the local girls would date white soldiers too. That was then, anyway.

Thousands? I just don’t believe this story. My mother came from Manchester, England where a lot of black U.S. soldiers were garrisoned during WWII. Soon after their arrival a Manchester woman was raped and battered so badly that she died of internal injuries. After that no woman would go near American blacks. The authorities tried to hush it up but word spread very quickly.
Also, the U.S. govt use to denied any responsibility for children born out of wedlock and made it very difficult for a serviceman to marry a foreign national until about 1960. So this report about the children being sent to the U.S. is going against everything I know about the attitudes of the authorities of that time.

I’m just over 81 years old, so I’ve seen a little more than a lot of folks. During the Second World War, the Blacks stationed in the U. K. told the women that they were bred as ’ night fighters ‘. Maybe there were a few dizzy dames who believed it and got suckered into a few bouts of horizontal enrichment. However, the fact remains that they did have relations with Black soldiers and did not bother to use any sort of protection. What about today ? My next door neighbor’s wife died in a car accident at the age of 29. The guy is trying to raise his children alone. For sexual release he turns to pornography on the net. About a month ago he showed me some of what he watches. The guy who posted that white women were pigs is absolutely correct. What I saw there goes beyond depravity. I noticed that none of these women had a gun pointed at their heads. They absolutely loved being degraded and used. I don’t care if someone payed me a zillion dollars, I wouldn’t do what these women do. So don’t give me the baloney that white women are the paragons of virtue and saintliness. Any woman who would have sex with a dog, a horse, or a person of another color is sick.

The U.S. exports anti-racist propaganda through its production of popular and academic culture. The main recipients are other English-speaking countries, notably the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, and Australia. American anti-racism, however, has a much greater impact there than within the U.S. For one thing, these other Western countries have not had the same exposure to the reality of multiracialism. For another, they tend to look up to the U.S. as a leader of the Western world.
Americans, please keep this in mind when you berate the British and other western nations for being stupid. Yes, we’re stupid to have believed that your books, movies, and TV programs tell the truth.

And don’t forget Obama’s racist pastor (who’s lighter skinned than Obama). “Blacks” who are of mixed race, due to their insecurity about themselves, are often among the most racist, for this is how they imagine they can “prove” their “blackness”, which they equate with a loud-mouthed hate-whitey bigotry.

On almost a daily basis I’m seeing ding-a-ling white girls publicly fawning and pawing over their black male “trophies” and make a big show of it, they are so proud. And almost always the white girl is paying for the meals and also it is the white girl’s car they enter and she is driving. Just for the honor and privilege of having her black trophy (typically he in the ridiculous “gansta’ get-up). I’ve even noticed where the white girl passes money to her black trophy so his pride isn’t hurt and he can pretend to be like the man paying the bill.
Now from Sartre, to Susan Sontag (white race as cancer), to now, the openly stated goal of the world-wide Left is the total extermination of the white race: “The goal of abolishing the white race is on its face so desirable that some may find it hard to believe that it could incur any opposition other than from committed white supremacists. So these are the steps for carrying out the genocide of the white race:
1.) Flood white nations and communities with blacks: Via black immigrants and “refugees” on an international scale. And nationally via Section 8 and public housing and forced bussing. All with the result that white females are flooded with the presence of sexually aggressive black males. (A variation of how certain species are biologically exterminated by flooding the females with competing males that will not result in that species’ reproduction.)
2.) Demonize and mock white males and romanticize the black males in the popular culture, the media, and the schools.
3.) Confer racial privileges upon blacks and discrimination against whites.
4.) Brainwash whites into feeling overwhelming guilt for their white skin color and intense self-hatred and shame. Convince them that they are all “racists” and they must fight this at every moment of their lives.
5.) Indoctrinate white girls specifically that rebuffing the sexual advances of any black male is “racist”. And one way to partially “atone” for their white guilt is to submit sexually to black males. And especially to give birth to their offspring, who, because of all the above, when grown will reject the white mother’s race and embrace with fervor the black father’s race. Even though, typically, the black father will be long gone and it will be left to the white grandparents to raise the black male’s spawn. (Like the Cuckoo bird that lays its eggs in another bird species nest, tossing out the other bird’s original eggs, and leaving it for the other bird species to feed and raise the Cuckoo bird’s progeny instead.)
Just to give an example of the effectiveness of this strategy on a smaller scale: The U.S. military presence around the world has resulted in widespread black servicemen’s sexual predation of the local native women. (An example being the 3 black servicemen in Okinawa Japan who kidnapped and viciously gang-raped a 12 year old Okinawan girl as she walked to school. Mass protests against U.S. military presence in places like Japan, Korea, and elsewhere have typically been the result of such black sexual predators victimizing the locals.) During WWII in the Pacific, as white soldiers fought and died on the front lines in combat, black soldiers were used to help with logistics. During and after this period of U.S. military presence on various Pacific islands, the black servicemen aggressively sexually exploited the local native female population. The result is seen today where on many small islands that had a U.S. military presence the original pure Micronesian populations were racially devastated and are hardly recognizable anymore as Micronesians, with a very high discordant black African mix.

Passing through Frankfurt Airport with a long wait for a return flight to US I had plenty of time to observe black American soldiers waiting for flights together with their white German wives and mulatto children. Many of them. At the time,24 yrs. ago, it shocked me as I couldn’t believe the German women would associate with blacks when it was not even acceptable in the US. That was the first time it dawned on me what posting our military in white Germany was producing.

Blacks were used as support workers for the US army in WWII(it’s wrong to even call most of them “soldiers”). There were probably several hundred thousand of them in England for much of the war.

*It might have taken place 60 odd years ago, back in the 40’s. But I am sure most of the thousands of interracial babies born to European women, took place over the last 30 years. Even in America, White women in the 40’s would rarely consider taking up with a black man in those days. It was still a major taboo, that most white women weren’t willing to break back then.*

I have never been to Germany (altough I would like to, to visit the land of some of my ancestors); nor am (or have been) I been in the military. I am, and plan to stay, as a civilian. However, I have a German foreign exchange student, as a room-mate. He is just as racially “liberal” as the very “liberal” Australians I know. He supports even massive Islamic immigration, into Germany. I also saw him talk to a Hispanic, wearing an Irish t-shirt (even though the Hispanic is not even part-Irish. I think he just lived there, for a very brief period of time.).
The “Irish” Hispanic bragged about how he had fully unprotected and “unrestrained” sexual intercourse, with a blue-eyed blonde, for two months straight. The German room-mate kept congratulating him, and encouraging him, for a “job well-done.” Deep down (hiding it, of course), I was infuriated. There was a time, when the Hispanic would not have dared brag about affair to the ‘Gringo males.’ It looks like the Germans could be on their way to extinction, too. This German (the room-mate) is no more racially aware, than the Australians I know. At least the anti-White Australian (the Australian I know the most) opposes Islamic immigration (and Islam).
The room-mate is also obsessed with Black culture. He listens to Black rap music (every time I hear his radio/CD player, it’s always the same thing). He idolizes Will Smith and all of the racist anti-White Black actors. We have a part-German, Hispanic room-mate. He idolizes the Hispanic; he does/goes to almost anything and everything, for the Hispanic and his White girlfriend. He does whatever they tell him. He acts like the Hispanic’s lap dog.
If this is how the German men act, I would hate to see how the German females probably (generally) act (probably just like Hedi Klum).

I have thought about this issue and read some posts since my first, which shows up first on this page. Since I grew up in the 1950s and ’60s around an Air Force base, I have to say that if there were thousands, they were well hidden. I recall Japanese war brides, German war brides, even English and French war brides. But although we had our share of blacks, I never met one who was mulatto and had a war bride mother. My take on this that while it might be true, the story is largely exaggerated.

What I saw there goes beyond depravity. I noticed that none of these women had a gun pointed at their heads. They absolutely loved being degraded and used. I don’t care if someone payed me a zillion dollars, I wouldn’t do what these women do. So don’t give me the baloney that white women are the paragons of virtue and saintliness. Any woman who would have sex with a dog, a horse, or a person of another color is sick.

I live in Las Vegas and see White women everyday that are beyond trash. The behavior of the average White woman is beyond disgusting. There are some ladies, but the majority are simple the “Sex in the City” type. Openly proud about being prostitutes. Openly proud about the cash they make degrading themselves. I would be censored if I told you some of the things they say. I need a new profession.

Were you living in a southern state? I was an Air Force brat during the same time and know that the US military had a policy of never sending a white man who married a black woman or a black man married to a white woman to the South. Their records were flagged to prevent this.
As for the British children fathered by black Americans, there might have been a couple of hundred but I seriously doubt the number came any where near 1,000, never mind thousands. Personally, I don’t think they number over 100.

What a disgusting story. Normally I am very proud of our English understatement, but under the circumstances I think if my wife wrote to me to tell me she was pregnant with a black child I do not think ‘well I am very sorry to hear this’ would even begin to cover it.
While this was happening the very best Englishmen were interned under Regulation 18b for trying to tell their countrymen what the future had in store for them. If I had lived through the second world war I think I would have been interned too.
While it is indeed disturbing what white women will sometimes do, let us not forget that places like Vietnam do a roaring trade in white men looking for Asian whores.

I agree with the post at 9:38 P.M.. I’ve been subjected to “black culture” all my life and most of my racial “clashes” have been with very light-skinned blacks that have a White mom or dad. I’ve never understood it, but his post seemed to make sence of it to me. I’ve also observed this “White girl with her trophy black thug” thing. Acouple weeks ago my wife and I were at Red Lobster having supper when a black/White couple were seated next to us. She was a pretty blue-eyed blond, very well dressed in a business suit like she just got off work at a bank or something. He, on the other hand, was coal black, dreadlocks, pants hanging so low that his whole butt was hanging out and dirty as hell.Its like she picked him up in some alley or something! I overheard her tell him “now order whatever you want.” That he did-TWO shrimp cocktails a lobster and crab legs. She fawned over him the entire time- even shelling his crablegs for him. Of course shes the one who paid for the meal with a credit card. He must of noticed us looking at them because as they left, he turned to us and smirked.

I can never forget watching Good Morning America about British war Brides who married American soldiers during the 2nd world war. One told a cute story of meeting her American fiancee’s Mother, and telling her how homely she was, which in American lingo was taken as an insult, but mean’t as a compliment, meaning warm and hospitable in British terms. There were many of them, but everyone of them married White American men. Black men would have been out of the question in those days.

I’m just over 81 years old, so I’ve seen a little more than a lot of folks. During the Second World War, the Blacks stationed in the U. K. told the women that they were bred as ’ night fighters ‘. By any chance is he doing that because he is paying some kind of a tribute to his wife? Did he decide to never get married again? I doubt he is paying some kind of a tribute to his wife, because, if he was, he would not be watching pornography either. He must still have a lot of himself left in him, why doesn’t he get out there and search for another wonderful white lady to resume his life with? I know a few great white men who have never even been married at the age of 29 because they were too busy with their education and they were enjoying their lives too much. They can find a wonderful white girl within a week if they want, guaranteed. And my understanding from your post is…. is he watching pornography where women are having intercourse with the farm animals you listed? Well if he feels some kind of sexual satisfaction from watching those fantastic films, then I would conclude that he isn’t much better than the women who were performing in those fantastic films. You must have been very shocked at what the actresses were doing and who (or what) they were doing with in those films, and maybe that is why you got carried away and said all white women are “pigs”, but the only circumstance under which I can agree with the logic that “I saw several women having intercourse with some animals therefore all women are trashy pigs”, is when all women around me are doing the same.
yes there are a few lowest men and women in all races. There are a few disgustingly low men and women in my own race as well.
but I never stop seeing wonderful white women around me. They are happily dating fine young white men, they look very happy, they respect each other and care about each other, and they work hard and they go to school and study their butts off.
Trust me, the interracial dating is still rare in Toronto, and in about 70% of interracial couples, there is no white girl. It is white male and Asian female. white men who date outside their race outnumber the white females by more than twice. And the brightest, most beautiful, wisest, just-what-you-need-to-keep-the-white-race-going white women, they almost always date within their own race.

One summer night a few years ago as a tourist, when in the big crowded city of Munich, in Germany, I witnessed at a close distance a decent-looking German girl with her girlfriend passing a pair of west African men, loudly saying “Zzzzzzzzz” directly at one of them. The black man was amused and laughed and repeated it “Zzzzz” to his buddy, with a west african accent, as the two girls moved on their way to wherever they were going. My first thought was of relief in knowing that I’d never seen a single American female ever display such spontaneous flirtatiousness towards any black person. But

In fact - NO. It was in California in the Sacramento area. So I tend to agree with your final conclusion. This story is blown up for use as white racial guilt trip fodder.
While I agree that many white women today seem to have no pride in themselves, the women of the 1940s in America and England had very conservative natures. So did German women, but the disaster of defeat and famine turned many into prostitutes, etc. France went through a similar situation as did Italy. It was easy to be marked in England if you stepped out of your class role, let alone your racial role. There is an old wartime movie with Vivian Leigh that ilustrates it well. She learns her fiance has died in combat and turns to a one time prostitution liazon out of desperation. She then learns that he survived and is coming home. She commits suicide out of shame. Today man women would only celebrate the money for sex instead for free victory!
But today’s young women are not ALL like this… it is what is pushed on tv and what you see when you go to a place like Las Vegas. Uh, don’t look for a wife there, Bunky.
I keep looking for signs of a rebellion among young women. What kind of future will we have if the downward trend continues?

When I was working in Hong Kong in the hospitality industry (this is the time of my big OE- overseas experience - an Australian and New Zealand rite of passage), about three of four times a year American naval vessels would visit and disgorge their contents, eager for R&R. What I noticed and found mildly disconcerting at the time (this was about ten years ago when my white-nationalist feelings were still inchoate) was the large number of white expatriate women who would arrive at out bars for the sole purpose of bedding a black sailor.
The white lads of course would hunt for the willing local Chinese girls, while the blacks would invariably go with white women (I never saw a Chinese girl with a black).
The white women, especially the English, while being well dressed , attractive, supposedly intelligent professionals, would speak in the most disgusting terms of the sexual ‘prowess’ of the blacks and the size of black’s you-know-what. The worst offenders in this regard were the English women. These mainly university educated attractive white women were behaving like something straight out of the gutter. Even then I found it to be disgusting.
Even more disgusting and shameful would be the way they would fawn over and drape themselves over their black trophies in public. Sometimes I would get the feeling that they enjoyed flaunting these blacks in front of their Chinese sisters - “look how liberated and open minded I am compared to you ignorant, racist and backward chinks!” One subtle thing I noticed was the superiority attitude of whites when interacting with the local chinese - but for all the wrong reasons. They would deride the Chinese for their ‘racism’ (against Indians and Filipinos), attitudes to homosexuals (all the pro-gay activists in Hong Kong were at the time, white), and seeming lack of concern for the environment. In other words whites despised chinese because the chinese were not as liberal as they were.
Really, having seen the English women in ‘action’ abroad, this article hardly surprises me. Black men who join the military are basically sex-tourists - well-paid ones at that.
