Just more malarkey from blacks.
Everybody knows there has always been a caste system among blacks based on skin tones. highest of course, being “High yellow.”
At other times, deep black skin was preferable. All depends on just who is doing the evaluating.
Then there’s the hair straightening in the black community (al sharpton - conking). All black barbers do it.

“Colorism is real in the black community. It’s especially very degrading to dark-skinned black women.”
Wait a minute. What was all that claptrap about content of your character? I guess the only fools practicing multiculturalism and colorblindness are whites.

I can perhaps understand wanting to have such a party, but not being dumb enough to think that you could get away with it. I suppose this dark-skinned fellow, “DJ Lish”, just let his lust get the better of him.

“We were going to take a shade of color each week. Next week was going to be a party for ‘Sexy Chocolate’ and the week after that ‘Sexy Caramel.’”
Actually, if anyone should offended here, it is the “Light Skin Libra Birthday Bash” sisters. After all, don’t they warrant a “Sexy” candy reference too? You know, like “Sexy White Chocolate Toffee” or “Sexy Vanilla Caramel?” If not candy references, then those both could pass for the names of exotic coffee creamers, don’t you think?
If only you had been more clever brave “Ulysses ‘DJ Lish’ Barnes,” you could have possibly given International Delights a run for their money?

Wow, is this guy an idiot. Nothing and I mean NOTHING sends black women into a rage faster then black men chasing after lighter skinned women. If he had come out and made the party for white women who love black men I think a bunch of black women would have burned the station to the ground. I attended a Farrakhan speech once (Yes, he is a racist.) and one of the biggest applauses he got was when he condemned black guys dating white women. Of course all the black guys just stayed in their seats acting sheepishly because they all probably dated some white babe at some time.
The bottom line is how can this guys be so ignorant of the rage black women feel about being passed over by their own men. Once again this anger shows how the welfare state has destroyed the black community. If the black men who impregnate these black women had married them maybe this party would not be an issue.

Are we pale-skinned, freckle-and-burn, never step outside w/o a hat & sunscreen, whiter than white-white chicks allowed to find this amusing? Because it just cracks me up. Yeah, I know, it’s sad & offensive & so on, but come on.
It’s funny.

One wonders how such a party would be received had there been free admission for “light skinned Caucasians”. We’d probably be reading about it on the front page of every newspaper in the nation rather than just local news.

“Colorism???” That is delicious…more proof that this greater racial flim-flam has no shame, no boundaries and no sense either.

What a racist article. Again this article demonstrates the racist and genocidal mindset of black people. First, light skinned blacks are mulattas. They have a lot of white in them. Given they are so pretty compared to dark skinned “african” looking real black people, I can understand the darker skinned blacks wanting them at a party for their filthy sexual reasons. However, no mention is made these women were mulattas. Isn’t it a kind of anti-white genocide to not acknowledge the Caucasian blood in the mulatta women and celebrate it? I staunchly believe it is. And I also believe the dark skinned black racist males profile and migrate toward mulattas and white women. Its a discrace.

It’s always gratifying to see blacks attacked for what they allegedly condemn. They told us skin color was irrelevant. Let them live by the standardards they demanded.
Posted by sbuffalonative at 11:02 PM on October 15
Nothing annoys me more than hypertension over the hue of your skin color. The blacks that deny lighter skinned blacks are just acting out of tribally-established norms that we all recognize and we don’t find anything fundamentally repulsive about this. Skin color matters.
Perhaps their inability to get past that hue color is the essential humanity of their culture, not unlike our own.

You even find these attitudes among Indians. The darker ones and the self-hating light ones lament the fact that their is colorism and they always find a way to blame the White man of course, even when they invoke the so-called evils of the caste system. I am dark but I have no problems with color or racial selectivity/being tribal. I am after all commenting at this site.

This article demonstrates yet another “double standard” promulgated by the media. When black girls get angry over black boys dated white females the media depicts them as strong and proud. When White men express righteous anger over White women dating blacks the media call us racist.

Heck, anyone who has lived long in the South and knows Southern blacks is well aware of this “Colorism”. I’ve heard many Southern blacks speak about “mellow yellows” and “that gal has a lot of yellow in her.” I’ve also even heard some blacks call blacks (almost purple blacks) “skillet blonds”. Blacks of intermediate reddish color are sometimes called “red bones.” On the other hand, I’ve heard some black men say they could only really trust dark-skinned women. Evidently, the lighter-skinned women were more vain, flighty and capricious.
Some would say that Southern blacks have internalized the opinions of their oppressors. In any case, these opinions are widespread in the deep South among black folks, particularly in the more rural areas.

Does this mean that it is not just white and Asian men who find black women unattractive?
Posted by Michael C. Scott at 12:51 PM on October 16
Several years ago a major news magazine had an article about how light-skinned blacks discriminate against dark-skinned blacks. In today’s hypersensitive PC world, there would be no such article, because the media want desperately to “prove” that all whites are racist.
Posted by at 3:58 PM on October 16
Blacks like to claim they come in all shades, but that is only due to race mixing. Even in Africa the lighter skinned Blacks came about through mixing Arabs and other non-blacks. Had they never mixed they would all remain deep dark ebony.

Well, then it’s up to us white men to vocally and confidently express our anger and disgust without fear of what the media says. Right?

tabbycat,Being of Viking stock, I am also amused - Funny thing, I understand the caste system in India is largely based on “shade”, and from our “good” neighbors (as in big, high fences make good neighbors)down south, this is interesting:

I remember parties where people where invited according to their height, weight, hair length and a few other things - I attended some. The point was of course to meet girls/boys who looked the way you prefer your partner to look like (or who liked the way you look). It didn’t offend anybody, because it was happening in a monoracial society. Even if some looks were considered more attractive by the majority, nobody was getting so emotional about it.

The irony is many African Americans are openly critical of Indians because of their obvious preference for lighter skinned women. When blacks themselves are every bit as color struck.
Posted by at 4:26 AM on October 17
They do need to label those parties by color. I would appreciate signs posted up to 10 to 20 miles from the location….

However, no mention is made these women were mulattas
They adhere to the one drop rule more firmly than any group these days. When Blacks bring up famous black women they consider to be beautiful Halle Berry name always comes up. Few of them wish to be reminded her Mother is White.

Think again, if such a thing had occurted WE would be reading about it on the front page of every newspaper in every White Western European country. Every single newspaper and TV station in Sweden covered the “rape and torture kidnapping of black woman in trailer by a gang of degenerate white hillbillies” in West Virginia(?) recently. I wonder what happened with that story since it went all quiet. Was it another hoax?
I have seen the Ricki Lake show and other American TV shows openly debate this colour issue within the black community. Basically all black men and women interviewed favoured a lighter colour shade on their partners(think Halle Berry). All black women on the show unanimously agreed that they never had anything but trouble from the darker black males, and that was why they avoided them!

There is something fishy here. The black women was wanted for passing bad checks, so that she was involved in crime. I think we will have to wait for the trial to get all all the details.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there were more to this story than a simple case of racist white hillbillies abusing a totally innocent black.

What is “sexy” about skin color? Actually, in the eye of that “dark-skinned black male” who came up with this, it’s all in the eye of the beholder.
What they are really looking at is features dnd other racial characteristics, but “blacks” phrase everything in terms of color.

Indeed it is. They accuse whites of being ‘racists”, but they are obsessed with it.
Have you ever worked among a group of of blacks? They spend a good part of their time talking about race or color. There’s hardly a day that it isn’t at least mentioned. Do you EVER hear your white co-workers discussing race or color? Practically never.

Indeed, they claim that White’s [“WHITES,” NOT “WHITE’S.” LEARN THAT THE PLURAL FORM OF A NOUN DOES NOT TAKE AN APOSTROPHE.] are fixated with skin color, but when have you ever seen White’s [“WHITES,” NOT “WHITE’S”] define each other by skin color? Hair color sure, but try and picture a DJ saying he was going to throw a party for ivory skinned White women one night, peaches and cream the next, coppertoned tanned ones next, and finally olive toned women. White’s [“WHITES,” NOT “WHITE’S”] would simply roll their eyes at the thought rather than get irate about it. But then again, blacks would be outraged just hearing Whites were having a party for white women only, wouldn’t they?

5:39 PM poster: You are absolutely correct. I have had the great misfortune of being the only White on a shift of blacks for the past few years. THESE PEOPLE ARE COMPLETELY OBSESSED WITH RACE AND SKIN COLOR. They talk about it incessantly.

It’s whites who started the “one drop rule’ blacks only live with it
The one drop rule was started by Whites to prevent intermarriage, which was illegal at the time. Blacks use the one drop rule in a whole other way. For example, Afrocentrists like to falsely claim key figures in history had a black parent or black grandparent, then will declare them black. For blacks, it’s more about claiming cultures and groups outside of their own.

* * * * * * *
I managed a large office which had many blacks — light ones, dark ones. They talked about color constantly, comparing each other’s skins with one another. One woman, new and darker than all the rest - and with a very confrontational personality - got into an argument with the others and told several of the lightest ones that their skin looked like sh**. This almost caused a riot. They were extremely offended and called in EEO. I imagine EEO was not accustomed to handling complaints by blacks against other blacks. No white person would ever have said something like that. EEO did it’s interviews, and the insulted ones said they could not work with that woman in the same room again.
She was transferred out to another location (where she soon got into more trouble and got transferred again, but that’s another story). A white probably would have gotten fired, but all she got was transferred.
Can you imagine a setting where the white people sit around and do nothing but talk about each other’s skin color and insult one another? Yes, blacks are obsessed with it. And then they call us racists!

i guess because i’m saying this to “strangers”, that makes it easy to say something i NEVER say or discuss…
i’m african american and i’m GLAD i was born on the lighter end of the african american color spectrum. it feels so good not to have any of those “issues” those classified as dark have or go through. me, i’m just a little lighter than a brown paper bag. granted,i know that means i’m not on the fairest end of that light classification, but i’m very happy where i am. MANY times in corp. america where i work, (and enjoy being) or while just out & about in general i’ve noticed i do get MUCH better treatment in comparison to other african american that are brown to dark skin. speaking as a women it feels good to be able to wear a full range of cosmetics and clothing in shades from nudes to pastels to bolds whenever i want WITHOUT the fear of looking foolish. then too, most of all i repeat it feels good to be considered one of the “pretty” light people. is that being narrowed minded and shallow? YES. but after years of hateful, resentful treatment from dark skinned african americans, mainly women, when i was trying to be nice, SO WHAT! and despite all the noise made by dark skinned african americans on being proud of the skin they’re in, ESPECIALLY the women,IF that’s the case, how come you kick up so most dust about “light skin” this” or “light skin that” ? You don’t find light skinned women (for the most part) standing around complaining about “dark skin women this” and “dark skin women that”! again, you just don’t. We already have a good thing…and know it. So we’re not complaining.
