UPI, June 15, 2007

A woman in Leslie, Mich., raised money for a gravestone for the plot where the original Cream of Wheat spokesman is believed to be buried.

Frank L. White died on Feb. 15, 1938, and is listed in the Woodlawn Cemetery ledger as “The Cream of Wheat Man” in plot No. 310, the Lansing, Mich., State Journal reported Friday.

A rose granite stone with an etching of what is believed to be his likeness was placed on the plot Wednesday.

“I heard the Frank White story when I was a little girl,” Sharon Lantz, 70, said to the newspaper. “I was proud he was from Leslie.”
