Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones wants Mexico to “show him the money” for the local costs in fighting recent illegal drug traffic coming from south of the border.
A letter has been sent to Mexican President Felipe Calderon along with a bill for $61,141.25. Jones says that is fair compensation for costs related to a recent drug bust where deputies netted more than 50 pounds of marijuana they believe came from Mexico.

“If they (Mexico) don’t want to pay my bill. I’d be willing to settle for their help in slowing the drug traffic and sealing the border.”
