Judge Gibson Lee put Allyson Stone, who is now 18, on probation, ordered 250 hours of community service and racial tolerance training.
The sentence was similar to that given the eight other teenagers convicted in the attack. Most of the youths also received a sentence of house arrest.

Darrell Goss, the lawyer for Stone, said he has already filed an appeal, the first in what is expected to be continuing legal action from the attack on a street in the Bixby Knolls neighborhood of Long Beach.
