San Antonio Police Officer Charged With Sexual Assault

SAN ANTONIO—A San Antonio police officer has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman, the second officer charged this year with rape.
Ruben Saenz, 28, was charged Sunday in connection with a traffic stop Saturday morning. A woman said he stopped her for a traffic violation, followed her home and assaulted her, said Sgt. Gabe Trevino.

“Based on information we got at the scene… we have reason to believe the offense did occur,” he said in Sunday’s online edition of the San Antonio Express-News.
San Antonio police Officer Dean Gutierrez was charged in July with sexually assaulting a transsexual. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in October.
